  • Most Shower and Tub Shower valves can be adjusted to deliver hotter water. This video demonstrates how to adjust a Pfister Shower valve purchased in 2023. It's quick and easy and does not take more then a screw driver and knife.

So simple! Why did I put this off? A friend who lives a distance away installed the new cartridge for me in December & forgot to adjust the temp setting. I watched other videos that weren't as clear so was worried I might mess it up. This is awesome, as is your teaching style. I love that you explain how as well as WHY. Many thanks!

@LearnPlumbing mine is exactly this kind but without the little cap that pops off... any ideas? I went in there yesterday to do this, and there is no cap nor set screw for the handle...

Wait you don’t need to turn off the water first?

Not to make the water temperature adjustment he was showing. You only need to shut off the water if you intend to pull the entire cartridge from the valve body.
