    I had mine on the road since 22/04/2023. Don't press the bonnet down, it is aluminium and may dent, drop it from about 35cm. If the bonnet/hood is not shut properly, you cannot use the key fob to lock the car. Leaving any door ajar makes the central locking stop working. Please take pictures and give details of your modifications - Ineos are being slow with the 3D manual, so all details appreciated.

    Very good review @Kenyan Grenadier. I am curious about your wheels. They are rather large. What did you say you are getting? Are those stock? Otherwise a lovely car, we drove the prototype and Jack at WA is an enthusiast so we expect good backup service.

I think you’ll love the final production version. Did you get petrol or diesel? Utility, Fieldmaster or Trialmaster? Lockers? If you need the winch, you need the winch! I’d be interested to hear more about your vehicle!

    When this brand has proven itself to be as reliable and durable as its Toyota counter parts (not the LC 200/300 as they are not on the same segment therefore not comparable) then it would be probably worth paying the extra 30k difference due to its looks and maybe some amenities which are the only two competitive advantage as of today

    Looking at the specs the maximum rear legroom is 30.5” . That is smaller than a midsize truck (I.e. Colorado has 35.8” of rear legroom). It’s hard to tell but in the videos there seems to be more space than a mid size truck. How does the legroom compare to the LC200? Perhaps it’s just different standards in where they are taking measurements?

    • @Kenyan_Grenadier
      @Kenyan_Grenadier  Před rokem +2

      To be honest I have no issues. I actually find the footrest more comfortable than my 200. On long safaris in my 200 I tend to be in constant search of a comfortable left leg position because the footrest is too far back. I haven’t done a long safari in the Grenadier yet but will do later this month. As always, I’ll post!

    • @Kenyan_Grenadier

      Hi John… left foot braking is sometimes useful when off-roading and for hill climbs. If right suits you well then that’s the way to go!

  • @normansuchorzewski1026

    The foot rest is a major drama when your over 6foot 2 and have long legs. My Kia Rio had more leg room. This vehicle is impossible for me to drive for more than 10 minutes. Place a brick on it and then try driving it, you will then understand.

    • @Kenyan_Grenadier
      @Kenyan_Grenadier  Před rokem +2

      I had a full size adult in there most of yesterday. You would be uncomfortable if you sat with your feet together. But who does that? The centre console is narrow. As narrow as you’d keep your legs apart. So there’s plenty of leg room behind the driver and passenger seats.

      @@Kenyan_Grenadier I have been driving these around the Australian outback for years, no dust ingress, no water ingress, no electrical problems, no reliability issues. They'll go anywhere, they're comfortable for hours and hours, they have great radio's etc etc. In the bush you need a vehicle with a good AM radio, the radio's in the Ford Rangers are rubbish, you can't hear anything out in the bush. The ones I drive are company vehicles, if I wanted a 4WD of my own to drive around Australia I would buy a Prado in a heartbeat. Do you think your toolbag will fill up with water when you drive through deep water? Or aren't you going to use it for "what it was built for"?

    • @Kenyan_Grenadier
      @Kenyan_Grenadier  Před rokem +1

      Been a Toyota guy my entire life… was a risk with the Grenadier, for sure. But, now that I have it, and I can compare it directly, I’ve got to admit it’s built for Africa… and similarly Australia!
      I’ve never had an issue with my 200… it’s been incredible and I can’t fault it in terms of reliability. However, Toyota seems to have shifted gears a little and are moving more and more toward an SUV rather than a proper off-roader with the LC series. I had an order for the 300 GR-S and still went with the Grenadier.
      I think it’s very hard to justify a side between the two, and it comes down to what you really want. For me what matters is connecting to the terrain, feeling the capability of my vehicle and to an extent, what it actually looks like. I find my 200 a bit boring to be honest. A bit too muted for my persuasion.
      Reliability- time will tell. Capability- I’ll be heading to the WRC Safari Rally in June and then Tanzania, through the parks, in July so I’ll be able to post more on that.
      The terrain is unforgiving… so it will be a fair test…
