I sprayed my front license plate cover on mine and using black primer was a mistake color went to dark went to light gray primer color was spot on remember paint is translucent so it's not due to color fade been there on this I'm sure it looks way darker in those areas..
Yea that's actually a really good point. Didn't consider the color of the primer very much. However, I do still think it's partly due to color fade on the OEM paint because there were a few sections I painted and only sanded the existing surface before spraying base coat (no primer) and it still had a slightly darker hue.
