Using ONLY Spray Paint to Respray My C5 Corvette's Hood!

- In this video, I tackle the job of completely repainting my C5 Corvette's Millennium Yellow hood to the Torch Red color that matches the rest of the car! The challenge was I only used spray paint cans, and I pop-up tent as a spray booth!
No more Ronald McDonald paint scheme for me!

With the "repair" part of my build coming to a close, I'm hoping to get to a lot more "fun" mods soon. Including incorporating some more 3D printed parts.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video. I bought the primer, color-matched base coat, and the 2K clear coat from a company called ERA paints. You can order from them on Amazon or directly on their website.
What primer did you use
It was a primer from ERA paints, the same company that I used for the base coat and clear coat. I’m sure it’s a very similar primer used by other automotive paint manufacturers, but I went with the ERA primer to eliminate any “compatibility” issues between the primer and base coat.
Something to think about also, if you’re going to be spraying a lighter base coat color (red, yellow, white, silver, etc.) a dark primer may “show through” and make your base coat color seem darker. If I were to redo this, I’d maybe try a lighter primer so it didn’t make my base coat have a slightly darker hue to it.
