This Broken $8 Plastic Part Made My Corvette Headlight Freak Out!

After getting my C5 Corvette finally put back together, the headlight started doing some weird stuff! I just had to get this fixed since the pop-up headlights are such an iconic part of this car!
Thankfully the fix was relatively easy, but I did find some other things already breaking on the headlights too!

Cool video, love watching the C5 Content. You do good work. 3D printing that part might be a nice side project, a lot of these parts are not being made anymore, might be a good side business in the future

Thanks Mike! Glad you enjoy the content, I appreciate the support. Yea that’s my plan is to design and offer a bunch of different 3D printed parts for the C5 that either are discontinued or just aren’t available at all. I do that now with a spacer kit I created for people replacing the inner fenders on the car.

Thanks Graham! I really appreciate the support! It’s been a lot of work, but it’s been really cool to see the car coming together. I’ve got a big brake kit to install next and am also saving up for a nice set of coilovers so the car doesn’t look like it’s in off road mode haha

I doubt the superglue will hold either. A lot of kits come with a "T" brace to hold the cover on as most glues won't work.

I tested the cyanocrylate glue on a scrapped housing from a broken headlight assembly I have. It held up just fine.
