I have never thought about using a steamer basket. I think it would much healthier than using a microwave for quite a few things, potatoes, veggies and such. Nice that the company sent one for you to give away. Good luck to all.

Seeing this brought back childhood memories of my grandmother using her basket. We’d love to have a steamer basket to fix our veggies in, instead of boiling our veggies in water.

I would love using the Steamer Basket for my Asparagus. I think it would work perfectly to keep the Asparagus from biking away the nutrients and falling apart while boiling.

I used to have a basket steamer years ago, but it was smaller and not made as well as this Deluxe one! I used to steam broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, but I never thought to try potatoes! My daughter steams eggs in hers instead of boiling them. I would love to have a nice Deluxe steamer basket!

My son loves to steam his hamburgers using a steamer like that. He once went to a restaurant that specialized in steamed burgers, and he was sold on them ever since.

I would definitely use it to steam potatoes. Looks like it would make cooking them so much easier. My granddaughter loves mashed potatoes and stewed potatoes. It's something that I could use to teach her how to do potatoes that would be easier.

I would like a steamer basket to steam our summer squash, zucchini, and also winter squash. Steamed greens are also great. I like the steamer because it will make cooking much easier.

My parents used to have a steamer for veggies. I haven't seen those in stores at all. Our corn, squash and potatoes are almost harvest-ready, this would make a awesome, healthier addition to our kitchen!

I would love to have the steamer basket. The one I use is a make do steamer with a pot and a basket and lid that doesn't go together but it works. Steamed vegetables taste better. My favorite is potatoes, broccoli and carrots cooked together as a meal.
Tamales would be awesome reheated in the steamer rather than the microwave. I do vegetables of all kind. Thanks for sharing and keep the videos coming.
Although, I do not have one of these, I would think all vegetables could be steamed in the Deluxe stainless steel basket. If I had one, I would try steaming sweet potatoes instead of baking or using it to reheat my canned vegetables. Steaming seafood like shrimp or fish would be a healthy option to try. There are so many possibilities.
I think I'd like to try steaming potatoes in that steamer basket for mashed potatoes. The benefit to that also looks like it would require less water, which would be great if fresh water supply was an issue.

I got an old wobbly one from the thrift store and I love putting any veggie in there. I want to do asparagus when I harvest it next spring. That steam basket is a very pretty shape, like a flower. God bless!

Well I've never even used one before. It's one of those items that I considered a luxury item instead of a need. Lol When you're raising kids and you're kids yourself, that's how it goes. But now that my kids are grown, I'm all about using those "luxury" items!! Including things like paper towels, paper plates and silverware too! Lol Looking at this basket, I'm hard pressed to think of something that WOULDN'T be good cooked in it. Steaming is always better for us anyway right? I would wear it out cooking potatoes and corn! My two favs!!
