The elderly man at the end of my road is a long time farmer and now has just a small garden! He has towering oak trees behind and in front of his garden! The trees shade all but one small corner of his garden! I noticed yesterday that everything in his garden is lush and green except that small corner! He plants a lot of corn and it's doing great where mine was blown over by the wind! His garden is shaded and the trees block the wind! I might move my garden next year! And, his garden is in his front yard! I think he knows something that I don't!

@@echtigren8188 It's definitely his choice to plant in the shade because he has a lot of land to the side of his house that he could plant but it's in direct sun light! He also puts his tomatoes in very large planters and doesn't plant them until he knows all bad weather is past! His entire garden is in his front yard!

Danny and Wanda, so sorry for your loss! Ya hate to see something like this happen to such hard working good people like you two are. The climate...and who controls the climate....would that not be the Lord God...for He is sovereign over all His creation...all one needs to do is to dig deep in the word of God to see this truth...maybe y'all should blow the dust off your bibles, then bow a knee in humble repentance to the Lord and maybe, just maybe He will relent...
As the Lord God lives, the land will be laid waste and house will not be inhabited by man and the beast of the field will perish.
today the spoiled world is actually rotten to the core and growing worse with each passing day...
I'll leave you with the word of the Lord God...Jesus said before He returned it would be like the days of Noah and the days of Lot...not that they would come one after the other, but they would come upon us at the same time, and here we are living those days...if you have not read those accounts in awhile, or if you never have never read the account of Noah and Lot, i suggest to pull out the bible and blow the dust off it and see what lies ahead for this evil wicked world...
To my Christian brethren that are not busy bodies with the world...prepare for the coming onslaught of what is to come...I'll leave you with a passage out of Isaiah...and yes it is related to end times and we ain't just there yet, but as an old time Theologian once said, all prophecy from the word of God has a near term and future fulfillment...take it as you will, but I will heed these words from my Lord Jesus Christ!!!
      Isaiah 26:20-21
20 Come, my people, enter your rooms
      And close your doors behind you;
      Hide for a little while
      Until indignation runs its course.
21 For behold, the Lord is about to come out from His place
      To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their wrongdoing;
And the earth will reveal her bloodshed
And will no longer cover her slain.
Now understand this, these words are written to the child of God and not to the child of Satan, if you have not been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb...you are a child of Satan and will find yourself in the lake of fire with the father of lies (Satan) come the day of Judgment.
If you have not come to Christ for His cleansing blood, may the Father of Light call you to the Lord Jesus and give you the heart to confess Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart He was raised from the dead to life.
To Him be the glory forevermore. Amen.

Danny, I saw on a weather channel where there was a solar flare last week....causing intense hot wind and the intense heat. I haven’t cut my pasture in 9 years....the animals take what they need the rest goes to seed to help with next years growth. It’s not pretty but has served the life here on my small homestead. I have also found recycling my paper feed bags to cover the base of my veggie plants and fruit trees help retain moisture and prevent weeds from competing with the healthy plants...the worms like the paper, fire ants don’t seem to start colonies. I am a decade older than you and have been working in agriculture-farming for over fifty years and never experienced this type of event and I have experienced some really bad crop years. So far, only the New Zealand Spinach crop appears immune to the flash drought.

Even weeds are now swiveling up and dying. When Johnson grass begins to die off, one knows it's pretty dry! I had wondered why my watering efforts couldn't bring about good results. Now I know. I planted sweet potatoes three times and still all have died. Burnt to a crisp in one day's time. Only okra seems to be doing well...so far. No corn. No beans. No potatoes. No tomatoes. No pepper. Yes, this is a very serious phenomenon and occurs right during a time when all we hear is how much food is going up in price. Let's hope and pray this ends soon.

      Danny and Wanda,
If you had not made your video the other day about drought in the Southeast I would not be aware. I have been praying ever since that God send rain to your farm and to all farmers. The Bible says that God gives rain to the just and unjust and so even though judgment is already on America We know that God also shows mercy during times of His wrath.
      Habakkuk 3.
I am also praying that God Himself bind and rebuke ALL the demons attacking your farm and other farmers, that He destroy all fireants and horseflies tormenting your cows and plants, that He restore what the "locust"(Satan) has taken away...that God be your shield and your shade against radiation burning up your soil and also for the heat yhat wears ppl out and causes heart break. ; and that He be your exceedingly great reward instead. I believe that the Rapture is only a few more months away...
      James 5 and Jeremiah 8:20.
May we keep looking up. He's anxious for His Bride as we are for Him. God bless!

Thank you for sharing! I will be doing research.
I appreciate your story about the mulch.
I always wondered how they kept fire ants out of those wood chips when considering getting mulch. Right after Hurricane Michael there was mulch everywhere to be had but I had this nagging feeling that there would be a lot of pine in it and within a few months of that storm our pine trees had begun to die.
After hearing your experience, I feel blessed that we opted out on the mulch.
It breaks my heart to see y’all go through this and your beautiful Danny corn be devastated in such a short time.
I pray that y’all can salvage some of your crops and that you have a bountiful late summer or fall garden.

So we decided to add it to our big garden this year. We are really happy with the outcome. The vegetables have done very well. We have been three weeks without rain or watering and it has done great. And we have a problem with fire ants in the grassy areas. We are in Central Alabama.

Thank you for educating them on the facts. Ive forcefully told every single individual planting outside, do no plant without UV filter, I dont care what it is, plastic, shade cloth, screen, whatever, all around what you plant OR expect to lose it like you took your money and time and thrown out the window on the freeway. Its a shame to see so much lost this way.
Mowing with a rotary blade, makes for healthier thicker grass. Spinning mowers kills grass and thickens crab grass. Yes, thats why they use rotary on golf grounds, its a fact. You want thick lush grass, use a rotary. No one believes it, til they see it.

I’m with you on this. My Mosby Prolific corn dried up, as did my cowpeas. I only picked once or twice from my purple hulls before I noticed that if I didn’t grab the pods while they were still somewhat green I would lose them. If I waited until they were turning purple they were done, if not already dried up. Only my zipper cream peas seemed to tolerate the sun, I guess because their pods are so much thicker. But the purple hulls and black eyed peas dried on the vine. I’ve fought to keep my watermelon and cantaloupe vines alive with some success, but they’re ripening when tiny, not full grown. Everything is going too fast. 🤷‍♀️

We're in year six of a (hopefully) seven year drought. Two weeks ago we had a 2" rain which is the most we've had at a time in years. In a typical year I would not be able to get into the garden after 2" of rain for several days without getting muddy. The second day after the rain the ground was dry and is now powdery dry with 1' cracks. My garden is very sad and unless we get rain this week, will probably be toast.

Flash floods... and now flash droughts! The same thing has happened in my area. Even the weeds and the vines are dying and turning brown from the ground up, and the smaller ponds and lakes are drying up.

Thanks for the information, I definitely will be looking up "flash drought". We've had a very nice spring garden with plenty of rain, but the soil keeps seeming to get hard between the rains even though we've had lots of it. I never did get around to planting my summer vegetable seeds, I think that was God's plan. I'm going to finish harvesting the spring crops and then I think I will let the weeds cover the ground for me for 30 days, and then go directly to fall and winter crops. I can't explain it and I don't know if I'm right or not, but I have this vague feeling that the cool weather will come early, and the winter be colder than usual, and that planting the hot weather crops won't work for me this year.

We water a few new plants but we have a large blue spruce and a Crabtree in front yard so plants get some shade. Our backyard is very shady but we have one area that get full sun. We have raised beds I mulched with straw keeps weeds down but extreme heat and wind dries bed quickly. So I have to check water everyday. I couldn't plant garden til end of may because of spring rains and then cold weather. So far I doing good but this year has been a w he ole new experience. Didn't know exactly what was coming but after living in TX. and now in MO. We learned quick when the "normal" heat came on around here and when to stop mowing just to make the yard look purty. I will weed eat travel area's we use often but everything else is let go until we see some rain in forecast. Think last comment I made was regarding the UV issue and I purchased shade cloth back then for greenhouse. It is the same around here in mid MO. some things doing okay and others just literally died off. Certainly is making farming/gardening a whole new game. Thanks to you and your grazon experience though I just use our own grass and mountains of leaves on our 10 acres to compost and mulch with.

Danny, you remind me so much of my dad. And I'm your age, LOL. I am going to tell you this is a long post . It is my story. one thing you said today I don't agree with. You said these flash droughts and this weather is new. I don't think it's new I think it's ancient. I'm glad I watched this because now I can give my husband a break on some of the weed eating and mowing around the house and garden. I have cancer now. I used to mow and garden and be outside with my big dogs! I took care of these things. He was an over the road owner operator. He did that for 17 years. But it is what eventually took him out of the workforce. It was very hard when he got sick at 60 years old. He is 8 years older than me and now he takes care of me. It makes me so sad because I am very grateful to him for this, but it also makes me realize all the things cancer has taken away. I used to be a Type A person. Very active in the community even though I had fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. Now I have adenocarcinoma and several areas of my body. I have had it for 28 months. They gave me 6 months to live. It was cool here in North Carolina today. I was able to get out a little bit with some protective garments and a hat. But at 11:30 I had to call it quits. He had taken me out to look at the Garden. It was so beautiful. I was very proud of him. He did not grow up in the garden. I grew up with dirt but if my nails in between my toes! It felt good to put some seeds in the ground today. It felt good to pull some weeds. I'm so thankful for people like you and Wanda. God bless you
