"Uh, John Lydon! I wouldn't say John.." "Why not?" "I have no idea.. Come on in!" Lmao. The pure fear behind that whole ramble almost made me pee myself.
Johnny Rotten should be given maximum respect, not for his music or his lyrics, but he tried to expose Jimmy Saville WAY before anyone else and if you don't agree with his opinions, fine. But he explains himself well enough that you understand where he's coming from..
how can people slag johnny off, like him or not, agree with him or not he's honest in what he says and what he does, he believes what he does. he doesn't rip you off or hurt people. some people who think they know what punk is but really done begrudge him making any money at all, they cry sellout exc. now consider the amount of bands he was a direct influence on from the pistols to pil, the albums he done, should you do it for nothing? should you even do it on your own terms? if big big bucks were waved in your face would you ditch you principles? he hasn't has he. most musicians have made much more money then him with much less work, in fact he has turn his back on lots of money to stand by his principles so that has to be applauded.
nice. i'm a stern guy, but he never had an interest in having johnny on (he did have the ramones on a lot, and had steve jones with duff from gn'r). good on ya O & A!
+Dave G I knew you'd bite. And I've been waiting for you, patiently, silently, observantly. But now that you're here, I don't know what to say. *whispers something incoherent into your ear*
Green Day were so good. Until about 2003 and then they just churned out this pop nonsense. Dookie and Amnesiac are solid punk albums. Up there with Never Mind The Bollocks.
Anyone else reminded of Uncle Paul when he said he was "56 years young"? haha
ssssssssuuuure

I'm pretty sure he said "I wouldn't say Rotten"
...But I could be wrong, I don't want to be the correction guy but I guess it's too late
Johnny's always a great interview.
Thanks for posting! I missed this one.

The other day I saw a newspaper call Hedley a "punk band".. I laughed..
>you shood drink MORE, maybe you'd be more CLEVER.
He did that so he'd have some money to start up and tour with a new band.
"I'm 56 years young"
57 in March

LOL
That John....acting the martyr as usual.....''I'm not complaining though''......could've fooled me....
at least its REAL butter, none of this shite mixed with oil that claims to be healthy
An anarchist that thinks you should vote? Spread that on your crumpets.
+SHARP DECLINE I shouldn't bite but I will. He's not an anarchist, the word was cleverly put in to a song. Spread that on your crumpet !

Heehee, stop tickling my ear.
that was just a song, and maybe how he was feeling at the time, not really him, he believes in a fairer smaller government

Dookie was pretty good, the only decent album they made, but its about half as good as NMTB
