    Well done for doing it one handed. Same process for doing the W8 front and back senders. When replacing the senders on the W8 rear which is in a steel housing cleaning out the receptacle with a piece of scotch bright then lubricating the receptacle socket and the sender o ring with some silicone grease and the job is so much easier. Also on the W8 especially if you loop a piece of string arount the clips it also makes life easy, because if you drop one at the back of the W8 good luck finding it. If you also havent run a good corosion inhibitor in the coolant good luck doing the rear one on the W8

    I had a temp sensor drop out today, I was getting a warning light as I was coming off the motorway and pulled into a supermarket carpark. The sensor was seated at the bottom of the radiator, just sat there resting on the under-shield, easy to find the cause of coolant leak but had to call out AA recovery. The original retaining clip was metal and had corroded. We went to VW parts, thankfully local to where I was stranded and paid about £5 for a plastic replacement retaining clip. U should always tug at it once the retaining clip is back in just to check its seated right otherwise it will leak or pop out

    The 2.0 turbo FSI in my Passat has a nearly identical setup for the radiator outlet coolant temperature sensor. You're lucky that you only had to replace the sensor. I've got a P2185 code that still will not clear after changing the G83 sensor. I have to troubleshoot the wiring now.

    I’ve got a problem.
    I changed sensor (50 euros), filled the coolant, opened it when needed so air bubbles go out, but my temo gauge still keeps dancing, it keeps pumping it from 90 to 130 degrees (which is impossible), because car is running at idle with -1 degree celsius outside.
    What do I need to do, so the cooling fan start working and temp gauge start working properly, without dancing

      You're welcome. I use the the same lead. You can do a lot of things with it. And a lot of damage. So be careful with it.

    Da li moze da se desi da se zbog ovog senzora kad se ugrije auto teze pali ?

    • @arnoldkul3827
      @arnoldkul3827 Před rokem

      Teško, probaj prije senzor radilice, ili bregaste. Nekad se može desiti da neće čak ni paliti auto ako je već zagrijan.

      @@dannyhampton Yes it was a pigtail connector wire cut that plugs into the ect sensor 2 on the bottom left side of radiator. Soldered and solved/cleared the code.
