You're most welcome
Thanks alot i was looking for the other one for about 30 mins and then i found this video
glad the video helped, did you manage to fix the fault
Keep it up lol your doing 😊😊😊
🙂👍🏼
fair play to you ,,, i couldent find the seckond sencer ,, thanks ,,,
After changing both my fans were still on unfortunately, after further investigation the wires had a break, this is also common on the mk5, see my other video
You should always use a new o-ring, especially if there is one included in the package you buy. The o-ring should not be placed loosely in the pipe as in the film, but should be placed on the sensor before installation. The fact that the old o-ring is larger is because it swelled.
the new o ring was a fake copy, had this before where they have made the wrong size, was too loose and water leaked out, i didn't get this on video and the original was a better fit. on my latest camshaft replacement video same thing happened, bloody new camshaft seal started leaking after fitting all back together, they sent a cheap copy that just didnt hold oil back at all so we used the old one as we did not have a choice 1000 miles later its still holding up, and the old o ring for the water pipe sensor has done over 10k and no leaks, this is the problem sometimes with ebay parts
great vid buddy thanks a lot
No problem 👍glad it helped, unfortunately for me after i replaced sensors i had to fix the wiring harness as the fault re appeared
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
Great vid 💯👊 can you give me link for the sensor to buy get them from pls was they genuine or like from Gsf car parts ? Thanks
I'd get them from gsf or euro car parts, if your from bradford I use JNS car parts in bd7 they have lots of stock also, best to give them your reg so they know what one is for your car! Glad the video helped, if your codes don't clear like mine then you need to check your wiring 😐
👍🏾
💯
Nice video, mate. One quiestion, I read somewhere that one sensor is a 4-Pole and the other one is a 2-Pole sensor. Do you know which one is?
on the golf they are both 2 pin, what car do you own ?
Green one on engine block 4pin grey is 2 pin on radiator outlet
hey mate does this throw a code for specific sensor of the two? or is it same code for both do you know by chance? im showing code p0116 ect sensor 1 on my cjaa 2.0tdi so thinking its just the first one but i might order both just in case
I'd replace both mate whilst they work in conjunction, plus they are cheap enough and will save you having to bleed the system twice
Brilliant mate. Just one question, are both the sensors the same part number?
From what I know, they look exactly the same and do the same job so I presume they are the same
@YK RECREATION Nice 1. Just ordered both from Darkside Developments, only place that stocks them I could find. 👍🏻
No worries glad the video helped, Ebay sell them also
No green ones a 4 and grey is 2 pin
My jetta struggles to start after the 4th or 5th attempt. It always starts with no problem the first 3 times. My radiator fans are always on as well. A bad ect sensor?
try this if your fans are on, if it doesnt work then follow the wiring repair video guide, seems like you have pressure issue also
Nice video buddy! Are both those sensors the same part?
Yes they are, thanks buddy
They're diffrent part numbers green ones a 4 pin and greys a 2 pin 👍
Do I need to replace both of them? Or could it be possible that only one of them isnt working
I replaced both, better to do both then they are out of the equation, but my fans were still on, I had to fix the wiring, check out the wiring repair video, both easy fix if your hands on, and it's also common for wiring to break, try sensors first if not then try this m.czcams.com/video/FjPWzsZcltc/video.html
Same spot on the W8 4.0 v8??
Oh my now that's a big boy engine 😳 no idea on them, what I would suggest is follow your radiator pipes or check near your thermostat, they are usually located around there
My vw scirocco has problems starting when it is hot, can take a lot of tries to go. Starts first time when the cars cold. Could these sensors being failty be the issue? Thanks!
Sounds like camshaft sensor not this
Hi! I just did this on my Car and sudenly the sensor popped out in the middle of the road! I put the Clip on and wiggled it before and it was on good?
Did you check that the rubber seal was on properly and it was tight? Also was it a new clip you used, sounds like maybe only one side was clipped in and with pressure it may have popped, try pushing down hard and then pushing clip in
If you did as in the film, you put the old o-ring in the pipe instead of mounting a new one on the sensor, I understand that you had problems.
My mechanic recommended i replace both the sensors in my 2018 vw Passat r line (American version i think), i was just wondering if it is the same sensor for both locations? Thanks in advance.
Hello buddy, for your car I'd suggest going to your nearest car part store and asking them if both sensors are the same, they was on this particular model, just to be on the safe side, best to change both then it rules out both sensors causing trouble later
What code did you get ?
I have Audi A3 2.0 tdi 2004. it does not start well in the morning, or when the engine is cold. I changed Injector seals, glow plugs, and not working. Its the same. Can u help me please??
Do you have a good battery on the car ? That could cause slow starts when cold
on bkd 2.0 tdi engine where is the second sensor? thank you
follow pipes should be in similar location on the pipes or thermostat
One of my cables on my sensors was cut off could that be why my fan is always on ?
Yes you need to re connect
I think there is only one water temp sensor on the VW Golf Mk6 1.6 tdi. So are you working on a VW 2.0 you make no mention what engine
This is a Vw golf mk5 1.9 tdi
@@YKRECREATION OK thank you
No worries let us know how you get on
My 2015 polo have a similar problem, when its hot the car takes time to start but when its cold no issues...could it be the temp sensor?
Did you find out if this was the problem?
Having the same issue with my scirocco!
Where did you buy the coolant sensors and are they both the same?
Ebay, yh same
Whats the make of the sensors. Thanks
I bought any cheap ones and they are still working till today
Could this cause the heater to only blow warm ish air
no this is only for it not working on 123 fan control, is your heaters not warming up as they should ?
@@YKRECREATION the warm that’s it they suddenly get a fishy smell and blows 30amp fuse and stop sign comes on check coolant
Good day. I have a problem with this sensor. Passat b6 2005 2.0 103kw. When the sensor is on and when the car reaches a temperature of 90c and when I turn it off and try to turn it on again, the car only starts for a short time and turns off. So 3 to 4 times, then I turn the key, and hold the gas to the floor and then it starts, but not every time like that. When it gets a little cold, it starts without any problems, especially when it's cold.
Sounds like you need to get a diagnostic check done, check what fault code it's showing and then see from there
I've having similar issue you've described above. What was the solution please? it got me thinking battery, starter etc??
@@waelelbaiDid you find the solution, having the same problem?!
Why does their gotta be two!! The first one i think i can manage if I decide to do it myself
tell me about it ! and that if that does not fix it you need to check your wiring , click here czcams.com/video/FjPWzsZcltc/video.html
My temp dial is going daft goes to 130 nearly then back to 90 and is OK at 90 rest of day when its saying 130 on dial the watwr is actually tepid hot i botte too is this a temperature sensor issue? Thanks
sound like your car is over heating, does it do it when sat in traffic?
@@YKRECREATION no
@@YKRECREATION what is it? Thanks
Hello are both sensors the same?
yes
Are the Both sensors same ??
yes
are both sensors same? i mean, how do i order it? just two units of the same replacement part or different parts?
Yes they were the same, best to order from your nearest car parts dealer
@@YKRECREATION thanks bro ❤️
No worries hope it gets sorted 👍🏼
Hi Wich one is for the water pump?
the sensor is for tempreature
@YKRECREATION I understand sorry to ask again but I saw 2 sensor in the video wich one is temperature??
My 2015 polo VW struggles to start when the temperature is hot outside and even the temp read in the car is normally higher than it actually is. Is this might be the sign of faulty sensor?
no either fuel pressure or spark or glow plugs
It's smaller becuase it's new and the old one had wair on it
tried it a good few times just wouldn't seal properly, 3 years later the same old seal i used is holding up, sometimes with cheap parts they dont make them to spec, even brake pads these days need the edge grinding to make them fit
I just couldn't watch no more after I seen that
Does anyone have the part numbers, are both sensors the same?
They are both the same on this vehicle, go to your nearest car parts store they will have all the information you need
Hi what could be the problem if the fan on the left hand side (smaller one) keeps running even if the AC is off? Thanks
They usually spin slowly at times, can you hear it actually running full speed ? And check that your ac is actually off, on some cars the button can be messed
@@YKRECREATION I had the AC button off & the fan was running at full speed.
@@sorinmre not sure then mate not looked into that side of it, but sensors are cheap if you wish to try
@@YKRECREATION I'll try this next week & see what happens, thanks 👍.
No problem, see my other video where after I changed the sensors the issue was still there, so I had to fix the wiring that was damaged
I just changed my coolant sensor on my 2002 vw 1.8 passat but when I start the car I still had the engine light on is that normal I use my scan tool and remove it anyone have any thoughts please comment
yes use your scanner to remove the light, if it comes back on after a bit you have a fault that needs fixing
Ok thanks
I change it today mine on golf 4 But Still no radiator fan cames on When gaauge goes 90 temperature
THE shOp man says it was wiring fault bcz Previous owner was Using automatic gearbox and after he change alot Wiring left Bad connecting so i buy that sensor and for nthg bcz my fan still not working
you issue is different to this, this fault if is fan is constantly running, to check your fans supply 12v to the actual fan to see if it works
Are the sensors both the same?
Yes they are both measure temperature
@@YKRECREATION like I just buy two the same
Where you getting them from
@@YKRECREATION I don’t know I’m just confused if they’re different ones or they’re both the same
@@tysonpatrick1216 they are the same mate 👍🏼
What vw is this
Vw golf 2008 1.9tdi
One is Black and the other Grey! Which way round they go???
any way
I know where the lower sensor is but I need to remove the connector witch u did not show
Had to use both hands sorry, its simple to un plug the connector, squeeze and pull or use a screw driver
With vw connectors (works on all brands too) always push IN first then pull. I’ve had great success NOT fighting a stuck connector having pushed first!
@@Tony-375 The tab do u push up or down some one told me u can use a stubby screw driver to release from the the connector
@@greatcesarsghost so what you do is you push the whole connector (no tab yet) down (towards the part) and the push the tab in (disengaged) and connector up (up as in direction it comes off). A screwdriver works just be careful because you have much more leverage to break that connector and not much hand feedback.
Good explaining mate, you should come make some videos with me 💯
I can’t find the second one
the one near engine block or on the radiator pipe ?
Why did you skip putting the clip back on🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
was tricky and needed both hands, should be pretty straight forward?
This video sucks at showing how to replace the second sensor
It's pretty simple, you can't really put the camera any closer as pipes In the way,
