You are the only one who showed how to disconnect the connector without breaking, thank you!!!
Thanks for watching :)
Just replaced mine, it was a horrible experience. Managed to drop the new rubber ring while coolant was pouring out, but i did manage to get it installed thanks to this video!
Oh dear !. Yeah it's a bit of a job getting it out and replacing it without losing too much coolant. At least you got it sorted. Good work ! :)
Thank you so much to showed how to do...✍💪🍾🍾
You're very welcome !
Great video there,I've been trying to locate the temp sensor on the wife's 1.6 16v Mk4 as the temp gauge needle doesn't move at all and it has the management light on too,it will sometimes miss under hard acceleration. Think ill be getting my hands dirty soon as it looks an easy fix.👍🏻👍🏻
Best of luck 👍
Good job !
Thanks !
Thanks for the video. There is no service near my home and my polo has bad sensor. I can change it by myself thanks to you.
Thanks for watching :)
How did you know that this sensor is not working?what is symptoms for not working?
@@screwsnutsandbolts the temperature indicator was moving 0 to 90 continiously
Very good work.
Thanks for watching ! :)
Thank you so much other's didn't show it like this
You're very welcome !
Good job so easy done the job myself lost loads of liquid should of looked at the video first
Thanks !. Yeah that's an easy thing to do alright
Nice Video! Why there was no O Ring ?
The Best video explaining The procedure clearly and showing all details. By the way I have tiguan 1.4 tsi 2012 and there is start problem in the mornings unless I push gas pedal a little. Can the problem be this sensor? But my heating indicator doesn't appear to have a problem
Thanks. Yes it could be the coolant temperature sensor or a number of other things, including the throttle body. Just out of interest, when you turn the key to the 'on' position, without starting the car, do you hear a high pitched noise from the throttle body idle control motor ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts i dont know where throttle body idle control motor but when I'm in the car and turn the key without starting the car I hear that noise. By the way after writing you I used an obd II device to check for errors and I got "P1259 engine coolant system valve short to ground" error and I cleared it and I don't know what it is and what will happen tomorrow morning I try to start the car
@@philipmurray4065 I've not heard of that error. If the problem persists I'd advise taking it to a mechanic to have it looked at.
Looked easy ...thought I could have a go at this myself until I seen the fluid come out and it gave me the fear lol ...thanks for posting
You're welcome, yeah I thought that too but I gave it a go anyway :)
Hi I am back again. Have now starting trouble, disconnected it and it starts well.
Dash works tho.
Gonna chnage it again 😂
Just did my engine overhaul on 1.4litre Polo 2002 but when you start it temperature increases after a few minutes before it even moves.Could changing temperature sensor help
It's possible but it could also be a faulty thermostat
Hi I have a polo 1.4 2005 just little confuse about sensor 2 pin or 4 pin for fit my car
Petrol or diesel ?
Nice video, I noticed the old one had a rubber ring on but the new one didn’t. Am I missing something? Thanks
Oh hang, I’ve taken mine out just now and it’s got a rubber ring
Will the new one come with a rubber ring please
Yes it should come with a new rubber O-ring
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks for replying. I’m doing these little jobs while I wait for my recon ert
Wow that’s pretty easy. Bet.
Thanks for the video. Do you know the part number by any chance?
You're welcome. The part number I have is 059919501a
ScrewsNutsAndBolts perfect! Thank you!
@@in4chandru No problem :)
My engine control lamp still lights up... do i need to reset it, after it works?
You might have to reset the error code but is it possible there's another reason why the the light came on ?. It might be worth taking it to a garage to have it checked out.
Hello, and thank you for all your videos. I would really appreciate if you can help me identifying the part involving a thin hose/tube on top of the HERE IT IS arrow, with heat protection only on its end. Please see minute 00:49. It is broken in my unit and I do not know the replacement part. Maybe you can help me. Thank you. Regards.
Do you mean the EGR exhaust control valve: www.123spareparts.co.uk/car-parts/metzger/p-8030877
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes… the vacuum tube that goes to the back is bad… thanks
@@6kd6 The hose used is something like this but I'm not sure of the exact diameter: www.ebay.ie/itm/353073153077
@@6kd6 Ahh. Good luck 👍
This it tiguan TSI same?
I'm not sure
What if you put a new temperature sensor with same part number but when you start your car it start after many attempts
Did it start ok before you changed it ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes but the problem it doesn't go up the gauge
@@MALUMEMALUME-mn9tg Does the new sensor show the temperature on the gauge when you get the car started ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes the gauge is perfect
@@MALUMEMALUME-mn9tg That's strange. I haven't come across that before
Hello, I have a problem and need help,
the temperature remains 0, and the cooling fans are working all the time. I hope for help. Thank you
It could be caused by a few different things like low coolant level, a faulty thermostat, or a failing coolant fan switch.
