After following for some time, this is a beautiful channel. Such an antidote to the overly dramatic, overly opinionated, assault on the senses, sailing channels. We sail the med 4 months a year on our boat..and for the absolute majority of the time, it is a peaceful and tranquil endeavour. We are never in a rush, so it helps. This film carries the viewer along almost at the pace of journey. Very hard to do, as the scenes have to be stunning, the light and sound beautiful, and the edit requiring such delicate care and attention. Bravo, you two. A triumph.

It's surprising to see the rocky baren vistas and then suddenly plunge into dense woods. What an interesting place that first location is. Although I'm a fan of variety the red with white trim paint scheme for everything works here. Lovely to hear you play, such a fitting tune for the location. And then a bonus second tune! As much as I enjoy the refit videos I am reminded with this brief visit back to Sweden why I began to support you in the first place - your magical portrais of life and place.
I will miss Magic Carpet 1. She got mentioned through Covid while watching you come north through the canals. If I was a few years younger, I would give her a new home in the West of Scotland. Sadly, my sailing days are numbered, I am sure that she is in good hands. Good luck on Magic Carpet 2.

I like your videos. I've watched a lot of sailing channels. I was less captured by the first period sailing magic carpet 1. It was too idyllic and fairy-tale-narrated for me. But the whole "refit-season" (just awestruck by watching a pedantic professional work) with all dreams and hardships, that lifts up the new "revisiting magic carpet 1" part, making it less fairytale-ish. And I am so excited to follow the sailing journey with magic carpet 2. Having followed all your hardships it feels like I deserve being on that boat with you, and I look so much forward to it. I anticipate that I will truly feel the joy when you experience the fruit of your work and decisions, but also the possible new disappointments. All in all - the refit turn of the challenge has got me invested in you guys!
I particularly enjoyed the trip up through France during covid. I found some of the work on 2 tiring but always watched.
Hey young lady so good to see you back on the violin. Your artistic side has not been to the fore for a while now. As you said life is about balance. Very true. Love your channel it's superbly narrated and produced. I can't imagine how demanding and challenging that work is and how much of your time it requires.

Not sure why I'm commenting on this one, why I suddenly want to share. I'm a swede, 50, and because my engine broke ... wait ... bad start. Some other people told me to not buy a couch, and I've sailed my boat since I was one and a half. Makes no sense. I started watching (in my new couch) when you guys were fighting a plague and weeds in a canal in France, and when you were sad about the enormity of refitting a boat I started refitting my boat. It seemed so glamorous. The past summers have been all scraping, and my boat is hours away from where I live, so it will be many summers more. And then there is a soft light, and trollmors vaggvisa, and maybe next summer, or next, I can show my love why.

I'm not a fan of sailing or boat building in general but have continued following and staying as a subscriber in anticipation of future creative videos, with fiddle tunes and amazing scenery.
