Saw a fella ringing steel at 100 yards with one of these and a red dot recently. Badass little unit.
I ring steel with my kp9 at 100 too. I have hit a man size gong at 390 yards before too. Took a whole mag tho. Lol

Not bad it's over exaggerated with the blow back sub guns. It recoils less than a 223 for sure so it's completely controllable. I can knock down 4 challenge size gongs at 25 yards in a line in around 3 seconds. Just as fast as my AR. Maybe faster if I practiced more.
@@tylerharris3602 A lot less concussion than the AR too. A lot of people are talking about pistol caliber carbines for home defense these days.
@@dylanthomas7680 kp9 is my go to house gun. It's got a eotech and a surefire mini scout on it. I also like the idea of not shooting through walls as easily. I'm extremely accurate with it too. Very fast head shots on silhouettes at the range. Plus it will literally eat any type of ammo I put in it including very effective defense rounds. It's all very quiet compared to a rifle caliber.
Ballistic gel test with defensive ammo comparing both the pistol and k version of the scorpion would be an amazing video to watch.

I have been asking for this for a while.
@Michael Srite, not exactly. The rifles often end up with badly warped barrels at the end of the video. The point of the meltdown videos is to fire the weapon continuously in full auto until it fails.
@Michael Srite well, the Glock failed but I believe they changed the slide or the barrel during the video and kept it running. With the first 9mm AR, it failed after the video, where they said in the second 9mm AR video that it stopped about 300 rounds after the meltdown during a gun shoot. The second 9mm AR failed but that was because the forward assist went loose

Love my CZ Micro with HB Industries upgrades: trigger, charging handle, duck-billed mag release, AK style safety levers. Added a Apex pistol grip.

I dont have the micro but I absolutely love my scorpion pistol. Of all the guns I own. The scorpion is by far the most fun. The thing is extremely reliable and accurate. The EVO eats everything. Also I own every type of mag that has been made for the scorpion. And the PSA are the best built of them all.

I love mine. Actually replaced my MPX as the nightstand gun next to my CZ75 Phantom . Recoil a bit stiffer than MPX but no biggy at all. Put an Aimpoint Micro red dot. I changed the handgrip out for about $25. Much better. Waiting for trigger upgrade to come in stock. Super fun package. I have had no failures at all with mine.
That’s interesting, do you still love your scorpion? I want one and I’m debating the 7” barrel or the shorter one
@@murkyturkey5238 I actually sold it and bought a CMMG Banshee Mk17 that takes P320 mags. My nightstand pistol is a P320 Vtac and sometimes I carry a P320 X Compact. I like having my in-home defense, or truck gun set up taking the same mags. It really is a good small PCC and I'm waiting on my tax stamp to be approved because I'm having it suppressed. I wish Sig would make an MPX that took P320 mags particularly given the M17/18 are the new military sidearms. I'm not saying I'm an expert at all, just what I have currently chosen to suit my needs.

The trigger reset is almost as loud as the shot
Not always a bad thing. You feel and hear it in all but fast shooting. This helps train you [by feel] where the trigger reset is.

Iron sights get tougher as you get older. Amen to that brother. (I’m the guy that went up to Mac @ the 2nd admendment rally and complimented him on his melt down videos maybe eye sight isn’t the only thing to diminish!)

I have always left my mags loaded and I've never had a problem, even with my cheap guns...
Love my evo 3 with the side folding sba brace in fde. This micro would be nice with the internally suppressed barrel. But I held on in the gun store and I prefer the regular pistol size scorpion with the 8" barrel.

Congratulation on a great gun. I love my micro. I have the same issue with the gen 1 magazines failing to dropping free. The gen 2 CZ mags drop free with no issues.

Shot mine yesterday, still love it
when you insert the 30+ round mags, give a little push forward on the bottom of the mag, gets mine to drop free. I don't have any issues with the 20rd

My Scorpion has never had a failure yet. About 1000 rounds so far. Mostly cheap steel case Russian.

Love mine I have a lot of guns and this is my favorite.
I have both the cz scorpion and an ar9 and the scorpion just shoots smoother than the ar9. And has less gas in your face and to my ear is quieter when running a suppressor. They are great guns

Magpul grip gets that ambi safety out of the way. Highly recommended. Then you dont need to delete safety or change it
Your gun purchasing voodoo won’t work on me this time...It already worked a year ago when I bought the scorpion🤙 It’s not the micro but it’s small enough and they are truly amazing “pistols”. Pmags save the thumbs, look badass and work flawlessly. Great video as usual!

This is pretty cool, and for home defense id say yeah its a great option. Not trading out my AR9 SBR, but a damn good option. Though for a PDW, an 300BLK SBR is hard to beat. No muzzle flash, easy availability of subsonic ammo, and whats not to love about all that in a MP5 size package, with 5.56 power?

If that's true. That a particular taskforce asked for the very gun you see? It's pretty cool that the american civilian markets demand for parts and customization essentially led to the final product. Love it

Outstanding review! I'd love to see you compare and contrast the CZ Scorpion Micro and the Grand Power Stribog. How would you compare side-folding and collapsible braces? I like the idea of a collapsible brace but wander if it would wobble or tilt because of the small points of contact with the chassis of the weapon when extended.

If you get a chance, buy the magazine for the CZ only from PSA and I think they drop free. They modified them at one time where they would drop free from the CZ and function in their AKV only thing was they didn't function well, so they made them a CZ mag only. I have pics of the difference in case you haven't seen them. I have no idea how to post a Pic on CZcams though.

I have never heard of or seen a CZ that was not outstanding. No probs with mine. The Scorpion trigger is bad but no other cons.

Concerning mags dropping free. My issue is the reach of my finger to the mag release. If I break my grip slightly to fully compress the mag release I get more consistent results. I'm hoping changing to the Magpul grip will reduce the reach.
The lesson is get Pmags for these.
