Jay Jay Okocha was the father of dribble in modern football. I don't think we will ever match their generation again. We miss them
Of course you never heard of Teslim Balogun and Haruna Ilerika
Top notch compilation but you missed two players who merited the list as well, Peter Rufai and Odemwingie
Osimhen is undoubtedly one of Nigeria's best but he is still work in progress, and should not be rated yet. As for Okocha, he is one in a generation and none like him has walked the continent of Africa.
You ar spot on my brother Osimhen is still in the game and is yet to deliver with time
What???!. Sorry mate
And it's pronounced " Julius Buga" there's no " r" as pronounced..
One of nigerias best?? he hasnt done anything yet, he is the least technical player to ever win the best african footballer of the yr. Odeguami is a far better player than him right now.
So with all you just had about Osime even from the international view he should not be rated yet abi and Okocha who was dribbling himself without any recognition she be abi?! Trust sense is far from you, you lack sense big time!
i am from Ivory Coast and maybe some of you dont really remember seeing Rashidi Yekini play. That man brought power, strength, and fear when he got on the pitch. He should definitely be first because Okocha didnt cause fear like Yekini did.
Okocha is undoubtedly the best of all time for Nigeria
U dey whine
Dumb Dumb
Kanu is the greatest as it stands
@@sydneychukwukelu Okocha was better, but Kanu was very talented
Mr j j nd Mr k n best of all one❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Okocha is an exceptional talent.. he's in a league of his own.. talking about winning...he won us the 94 AFCON and 96 OLYMPICS so he won laurels too. The most expensive African and 3rd most expensive in the world when he went to PSG. A true legend. 🙌
Okocha didn't win us the 1994 Africa cup, all the team members did and Yekini did better than Okocha.
Julius Aghahowa - Emmanuel Amuneke - Peter Rufai - Henry Nwosu - Uche Okechukwu - Tijani Babangida.
Every other players have done well for themselves and for our country but for the fact that you placed Okocha no 1, you are a great man! Okocha is my second best player in the world since I started watching football in 2002.
Okocha is the best. He play not for self Glory but for the team and fan. He Never give up when the team. is down producing passes for strikers. During his time, the team is built around okacha creativity. He is a talent Nigeria may Never have again.
Jay Jay a wizard in football. We love u
Nice one 👍, I am proud being a Nigerian okocha is one of my idol in football
From a Ghanaian Mathematical Segun Odegbami, simply the best
Okocha is a legend
Even Ronaldinho respects Jay Jay Okocha .
As you said in your documentary that Kanu has more stats than any player in Nigeria. Kanu should be number one ❤
Only modern day football celebrates stats, even kanu himself will tell you Okocha should be number one.....
Okocha is undisputably the best. He and the likes of Ronaldinho have natural flair for football. He is a genius in football.
In terms of natural abilities and flare on the football pitch, Okocha is truly unassailable. However, King Kanu achieved much more than Jay-Jay while playing the beautiful game. Papillo is my number one.
Okocha was unarguably the BEST. Kanu was only luckier to have featured in big teams
Great work..I have one reservation tho..I honestly dont think Osimhen should be on this list yet.
the others(in the notable mentions list) have achieved more for Nigeria..im not saying he is not a better player than some but legacy and impact >>>>
We said with wisdom
Wrong!!Arican Player of the Year!!osimhen is the most valuable player Nigeria ever had. He's officially the most rated of the super Eagles in history.most expensive ever yet you saying he ain't supposed to be on the list.Lucky if Nigeria ever produces one again.if he deserves been on the ballon d'or top10 ranking then he's without a doubt already one of the best not just in Nigeria but the world.

Those of you saying Osimhen doent deserve making the list really dont know who is great playee.AFCON Bronze n Silver medalist.siArican Player of the Year, most valuable player Nigeria ever had.officially most rated of the super Eagles in history.most expensive Nigerian player ever yet you saying he ain't supposed to be on the list.Lucky if Nigeria ever produces one again.if he deserves been on the ballon d'or top10 ranking then without a doubt one of the best already not just in Nigeria but the world. He's at the top already
Osimhen is rated currently the best in Africa and Italian league now
Jay-Jay okocha was and still landlord in Nigeria football history while others are caretakers, I watched him play with my late brother Ugocity in Enugu, see him as ball not human being❤
Jay Jay okocha, all the way.
King of entertainment.
His type comes once in 40 years.
Peter Rufai deserve a place among 10 best players in Negern football history from stationary stores, dragon of Benin,he also makes a name in Belgium, Holland Spain, back to National teem from 1981 to 1998 he was in nation cup silver 1984 , 1988 and winer at Tunisia 1994 with 2 world cup 1994 and france 98 just to cute the stories of dodo mayana
My favourite is the only Golden Boy of Nigerian football. The only two times African footballer of the year award winner we have
Kanu is number one ❤
Alaba
All my top 10 were going to come from the 1994 team.
Rashidi Yekini..
Remain the greatest
None like Okocha,in his days, seeing him on the pitch alone gives Nigerians confidence
Julius Agahowa,Finidi George, Daniel Amokachi. Now think about this.
It's beautiful seeing how you take us down memory lane; this is both nostalgic and inspiring, a testament to the fact that skill and talent put to best use brings stardom. Your editor did a great job as well. Thank you!
This is high praise! Thank you on behalf of the entire team.
1994 Squad. The greatest ever.

Honestly, if not for JJ's skills I would have rated Osimhen as no.1 of all time
@@frankanore exactly bro, don't understand how some people do their ratings.
Os!mhen shud top 3 sef
Jay Jay Okocha 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🤟🤟🤟
Great one guys. Well done. The truth is ratings will always differ based on different indices. It would be much easier to rate based on a specific criteria like awards won, number of goals scored or number of clean sheets kept over specified number of games than to just rate based on the perceived pitch performance which would be vary subjective to the person doing the rating.
You are absolutely correct. There are no criteria for appraisals or at least specific list for appraisal,so, I humbly beg to differ. The list is biased, period.
Rashidi Yekini for me ❤️⚽️🇿🇲🇿🇦
Since JJ retired no. 10 shirt also retired Supper Eagle retired period. Ever since then it has been try and error.
Absolutely correct this days we just struggle with the ball no class no qualities
This list is obviously limited to recent players. Where is Chukwu, Henry Nwosu, Okala brother, Muda, Teslim Balogun. Even at that, you can't miss Keshi who I regard as the pathfinder for his generation paving way for their professional sojourn abroad. He captained every team where he played from NNB to National team and abroad. He won the Afcon as a player and then as Manager. May God continue to rest his soul.
You left out Haruna Ilerika, Yakubu Mambo, Godwin Okala.
They're all heros, I miss them
As Okocha de dribble for video, e de dribble me too for here sef. 💯
Rashid Yekini 🎉🎉🎉🎉👍⚽️
Okacha is Our Nigeria Legend player
Yes indeed.
odeguami is the second best all time nigerian player, period
Nice, but you did not go far back enough. There were many great players who did not have the opportunity to play in Europe at that time. Notably, the likes of Tasilimi Balogun, Omokachi, Norkwapo, Anieke, Ntephe, Achebe, who I consider the best midfielder ever. Anyiam, Ibiam, and many more whose names were once great. Perhaps the best way to do justice would be to compile perhaps greatest 50 or 100, whereby these stalwarts will get a mention.
JJ remains the best of all time.
Rashidi yekini❤❤
Okocha worth it he is the best
There should be no Yobo here. Where is chairman Christian Chukwu and Stephen keshi?
He did mention keshi
Ndidi Boniface and Iwobi will be top 10-asque soon
As a Nigerian, I found this nostalgic and exciting to watch. Well done!
Mission accomplished! Thank you.
@@OrishirishiMediasir, your list is VERY WRONG
@@OrishirishiMedia
Keshi is the freatest nigerian footballer of all times
Then Rashidi
Then Kanu
I will place Kanu ahead of Okocha any day any time.
Very obvious
Same here. Kanu has achieved more. Check him at Arsenal and Ajax
Bench warmer at both clubs
Jay Jay Okocha...all the way from Bw🇧🇼🇧🇼
The best in a generation of good players. J J Okosha.
Omitting Emmanuel Amunike, once CAF best playet of the tournament and the legendary sir Christian Chukwu, demonstrate your research limitation and judgment, however thanks for the efforts
Nicely done but don't forget about Mutiu Adepkoju (Head Master) and Etim Essien!!!! CC
Rashidi Yekini is my greatest player of all time.
JJ is too good that the world has to mention he's name twice JAY JAY
I'll add Emmanuel Amunike to this list as well as Henry Nwosu
Okocha was the best I ever saw from Nigeria. He was an entertainer and could beat any man on the pitch. Kanu , Finidi, et Al all excellent players, but Okocha for me
Kanu, Okocha, Amunike, Yekini, Amokachi, Keshi, Okechukwu, Babayaro, Taribo, Obi
Granted it is going to be a herculian task putting up a top 10 list in football in a country like Nigeria. Too mzny great TALENTS, too many great memories. But I think your list is influeced mostly by the so called tv era when dstv etc allowed us to watch some of these amazingly gifted guys and it followed that nany other great talents outside this era were left out: only Mathematica Segun crossed the bridge from that era: what about the other greats from this time as were mentioned by others on this platform. We had ALWAYS had great talents and our problem was ( and still is) administrative & managerial. That is why it took a Westerwhof for Nigeria to finally realised her undouted potential in football both in Africa and the World stage. Cameroon don do am twice before then
Look, we can do it all, czn you image a country famous for its flare and attacking football do the Mourinho's Chelsea stule to the final of the just concludes Afcon 2024; and to great effect- just 2 goals, one of that being a penalty.
Not to rubbish this ' brave' attempt at naming Nigeria top 10 ever, I think the Big Boss should at least make the list. So many firsts in Nigerian football: and he paved d ways for acceptance & respect of Nigerian talents overseas, first in Africa( Ivory Coast) and Europe( Belgium, France) and then the success of Afcon as a coach in 2013. Granted the libero role is not that popular again, how many Nigerian defenders are better at going forward, initiating attacks and scoring goals and doing so elegantly.
Top 10? Please make top 30😂😂.
By the way, just last week,Ronaldinho was praised as an irreplaceable, one of a kind talent to everplay at the Nou Camp, but this same guy learned under the maestro called JJ at PSG. Just like he ( Ronaldinho)too and Iniesta influenced great Messi playing style.
So if Okocha ,Kanu, Finidi, Muda Lawal etc had the enabling environment to horn their skills early enuf especially at formative/developmental stage: coaching, diet etc. How many Ballon d'Or winners will we have produced. Your guess is as good as mine.
. Rivaldo, Ronaldo de lima, Ronaldinho tell the tale of how they were poor & couldn't afford boots growing up, but they didn't sell pure water on Lagos roads or oranges in Enugu when they were supposed to be at the academy honing their skills
As per my top 10? I am not that brave like you guys.
Great work people, keep it up ..
God bless Nigeria..
Oshimhen is good player, but should not be rated yet.
Kanu Neakwor is very good player and should be rated 2nd after JAY JAY.
JAY KAY OKOCHA is extremely exceptional player whose dribbling skills has no match or equal
The list is a good try, however it's largely subjective. Nigeria has had many many phenomenal players, most with areas of strength and weakness. Ranking them in order might be rather herculean.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST Is Coming Again
From where?to do what...to play football?
Yekini shuld be no1🇳🇦⚽️😍🙏
JayJay Okocha so he good, he was named 2ce!
Jay jay is my world best
1) Papilo
1) Jay Jay
1) Sam Okwaraji
2) Peter Rufai
2) Rashidi Yekini
3) Christian Chukwu
3) Segun Odegbami
4) Stephen Keshi
4) Henry Nwosu
4) Mikel Obi
4) Obafemi Martins
4) Ahmed Musa
4) Vincent Enyeama
4) Joseph Yobo
5) Taribo West
5) Daniel Amokachi
5) Sunday Oliseh
5) Mr Garba Lawal
6) Yakubu Aiyegbeni
Finidi should be part of the 10
Chairman Christian chukwu should be part
Keshi instead of Yobo
Kanu is nos 1
Mike nos 2
Rashidi yekini nos 3
To me JJ is the greatest footballer in the world aside Pele and maradonna he inspired Ronaldinho his skill is unmatched. Daniel Amokachi is the second best player in Nigeria, peter rufai come on
Amunike 5, Osimhen 4, Okocha 3, Rashidi 2, Kanu 1
The maker of this video doesn't know anything
Okocha's goals baffles me
How could you omitted Peter Rufai? The most popular Nigerian Goal keeper
Yea popular but he wasn't so good in my opinion.
We appreciate your feedback and would love to hear who else you'd add to your top 10.
He was popular but not the best ..... Even in his best, we had the likes of DOSU that stood on the pole for Olympics and also, Enyeama achieved more, logically speaking.
Aswear
Some of you are considering what these players achieved for Nigeria as a country. Well, I am not a Nigerian, I'm a Ghanaian. I am objectively looking at the one who knows how to play football for real. I will unequivocally state that Austin Jay Jay Okocha is the best among them all. He is indeed the number ONE. You made absolutely no mistake placing JJ on the No. 1 position. Thanks a lot. We are talking about football, nothing else.
Okocha remains the best player Nigeria has ever had
Kanu Nwankwo should be ranked no. 1
Don't worry, Both of them are Biafrans, We are proud of them, Biafrans got Talent o
Jay Jay Okocha👌
Victor osimhen
Okocha is best of the best
osimen is the greatest african footballer followed by jay jay okocha there are so many reasons
Jay jay.okacha is the Best nigerian Ever.
Jay Jay is the most entertaining football that Nigeria, Africa, and the world cannot forget in hurry. His type is rare and the kinds of risk he took while in his playing days, even in competitive games, still remain unrivalled.
great
they did perfectly
it was stunning
Jay Jay Okocha
Kanu is number 1 , okocha should be number 2
KANU IS NUMBER 1
Osimhan
Kanu is the number 1 . He can mesmerise opponents with ease ... Kanu had it all .
Jay jay all the way
Emmanuel Amuneke remains the greatest IMO
Sunday Oliseh is my favourite Nigerian player.
Kanu is above okocha if you ask me
Odegbami is number 1 please. He won us our first nations cup.
Did youbeven read the title?
Pls what makes you think Okocha was better than Kanu. I want to believe you are biased in you selection. I terms of laurels, Kanu had a better show. UCLA, UEFA cup, Dutch League 2x, Dutch cup, club world cup, FIFA u-17 world cup, African Player of the year 2x.( The only Nigerian to achieve so). Nigeria premier League with iwuanyanwu nationale. Not forgetting his EPL invincible feat with Arsenal. Pls u can't ask for more. Olympic gold medal, an honour shared with Okocha. English FA cup with Portsmouth.
Pls in your subsequent reviews or analyses, consult and research widely before going public.
Kanu Papilo Nwankwo is and still remains the best foot ever to have kicked football in Nigeria colors.
What is Okocha individual laurels or even club laurels. If Okocha was that good he would have signed and played for bigger clubs than Bolton wanderers.
Reviewing their respective clubs, the only big club Okocha played in Europe was PSG. How did fare over there. PSG coach later confessed that Okocha signature was mistake.
Kanu conquered Europe with Ajax. Conquered Europe with inter Milan, conquered England with Arsenal. Ranked 11th FIFA best player in 1995 only surpassed by Victor Oshimen recently. Against Gabon in a world cup qualifiers in Port Harcourt, Papilo played only 8 mins and won MOTM award.
Pls, give honour to whom honour is due.
There are only 2 footballers in Nigeria, Nwankwo Papilo Kanu and others.
Respect.😊🎉😂❤
I can understand why you did not mention Thunder Balogun (hot shot), Haruna Ilerika (master dribbler), Henry Nwosu ( our own Pele), Thompson Usiyen ( one of the best all round strikers Africa ever had) .These were great players from the 1970s to Early 80.
Okocha fantastic legend
What did he win so far?
KANU IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE NUMBER 1
Papilo should be number 1. Yekini number 2 and JJ Okocha number 3
Oshimeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen
Good compilations but then i have some exceptions. My Pick 10 Stephen Keshi 9 Muda Lawal 8 Vincent Enyeama 7 Finidi Geroge 6 Obafemi Martins 5 Segun Odegmami 4 John Obi Mikel 3 Rashidi Yekini 2 Austin Okocha 1 Nwankwo Kanu. These should be the finest Nigerian players of all time.
Look their rating depends on their generalization. One of the most sensational or the most incredible football calculating wizard is Segun Odegbami. You see destiny matters a lot in every endeavor.I cherish J J Okocha a lot but his generalization falls under younger generation because most of them were not born when Odegbami, Christian Chukwu,Muda Lawal,Amesimemeka, Emmanuel Okala etc were making wave! However they couldn't not make it to the world cup no thanks to Odiye historic heading mistake.Odegbami would have been another Pele.He was wizard on the field of soccer!!!.So , please nose is very far from the head!. Rating Odegbami as no 9 is a peculiar insult or harsh undeserved demotion.Thank you.God will continue to elevate your platform.Amen.
That he made the list is ok. If he was that impactful he would have helped his generation to the world cup.
I totally agree with you but Mikel doesn't deserve to be among. I don't know what he achieved for the country
Osihmen
Kanu is d best jareee
I just started watching. I'd be outraged if you place Okocha as the top guy sha.
Amokachi and Yakubu should be in top ten
Okocha is from Delta
He grew up in Enugu. Still spot on
Well, nostalgia became me when I watched this. Osimen though shouldn't be on this list yet
I Agree with U on Victor Osimhen. A different generation from the basket d Uploader picked from
I disagreed with the choices. Perhaps the age of the team of the producers defined their choices. If the clip has been daubed in moder times , maybe. But even then, Muadshiru Babatunde Lawal, Peter Rock Rufai the best Nigerian Goal keeper , far over Oyenma . In 1988, 1994 Nations Cups, he kept Nigeria to Victories. He was dramatic and superlative. There was also Ateugbu of 1977 Nigeria World Cup exploits . Same was Thunder Teslim Balogun. The ages of the producers influenced their decisions. They saw as little their eyes can see. There was one Nnwako Nwabuese , the first long thrower in Nigeria football and Giant Emmanuel Okpala. Good luck folks
