I have oily/acne prone skin (also run a lot outdoors in Florida) and I am obsessed with the cooling water sunscreen! My favorite part is how easy it applies. I don't have to rub it in like other sunscreens (sorry Elta MD). It also doesn't feel sticky, it truly is THAT GIRL.
No matter how many sunscreens I try, I always come back to this one.

I'm currently using the uvmune tinted sunscreen and my sensitive skin and eyes are loving it! It has a slight orange undertone but it fades away quite quickly. I'm from Mexico though and we have that range here 😀 I've used the tinted mineral as well and really liked it

THIS is the review I’ve needed for a long time!!! Thanks!! If you ever do decide to order European sunscreens, I would LOVE comparison videos between the European and American versions of a given product (like the US and Euro fluids, etc. - like whichever two products are most similar and comparable). I would also love a review of the UVMune sunscreens because I think right now there are few, if any, sunscreens that offer that same level of UVA protection. I’ve been interested in Euro and Aus sunscreens for their extra UVA protection and, personally, I’m willing to pay for the overseas shipping (especially compared to LRP US sunscreen which I find mostly to be overpriced for what they are).

SO very happy you made this video - the cooling water SPF has been my go-to for a number of years. It's been so good for my combo skin and gives excellent protection! And the price for that huge tube?? It comes to way less than $10/ounce which is a stupid-good deal!! As for the 'cooling' sensation - can't say that I've ever felt that. It just feels nice so I'm surprised it has any derivative of menthol in it. Whatever, for the protection at that awesome price - I'll keep right on using it!! Thanks Abbey!!!

As an American, European and Asian sunscreens are absolutely worth it. They protect you better against UVA and last longer. I ordered some UVMUNE from Amazon UK and I am impressed. Altruist, P20, DermaB, Biore, and Isntree. I don't know if I'd even bother with the American version of La Roche Posay.

I love LRP sunscreens. They are my favorites and what I use the most, especially on days I want to look & feel my best. I mix either the unturned mineral fluid or the chemical spf filtered fluid with the tinted mineral spf, with whatever foundation/cc or bb cream, tinted moisturizer - essentially adding a pump or two of another product that adds more coverage or helps change the finish of my base. I have, and absolutely love; using these two on their own; but I usually like to add a pump or two of foundation (usually Flower Beauty’s Light Illusion.) that combo gives me enough coverage to feel like I can go out with out anything else if I don’t feel like doing a full face or in a rush, but still having protection and a little bit of evening out of my complexion.
I guess I should of stated this earlier, but the reason I felt I should say all this is to say that the alcohol in the spfs have never dried out or irritated my skin. I never noticed the alcohol, and I typically avoid it in any product, but these products defy its stereotype & reputation. This isn’t a toner or serum - as long as you moisturize well, these spf’s are some of the best, alcohol or not. And, even with the alcohol, I have these spf’s moisturzing, soothing, and never irritating.
PS - CVS will often have sales, or extrabucks, or coupons & such on LRP products/SPF’s, so if you are intemidated by the price, they often have great offers that can add up to major savings for products that are worth your time.
    HTH! Love your channel. (:

Absolutely love the cooling water sunscreen. It feels so fresh and leaves a nice sheen to your skin. Not super dewy just a healthy looking finish. Feels amazing during the summer! It really is like putting water in your face. And coming from someone with oily skin I believe this has really balanced my skin out.

I’m sad that it has alcohol in it, but I can’t seem to switch it up bc I don’t know another one that feels that way lol

My favorite is the La Roche Posay Anthelios clear skin dry touch sunscreen. It has more of a matte finish and makes my skin feel really nice and smooth. Looks really good under make up. Not greasy at all. Unfortunately though, it burns my eyes. I have to use mineral sunscreen around my eyes.

The must would be to have the latest UVmune 400 that came out in France/Europe and which contain better filters than their US counterparts and their newest filter protecting again long UVA rays. The tube version is pretty much sold out everywhere in France (but the fluid ones are still available). Luckily I'm French and travel back to my home country pretty often.

The LRP tinted mineral has been my favorite daily sunscreen for last few years, BUT during my last visit my derm said there’s some recent research shows it has almost no UVA coverage, despite it’s broad spectrum claims. Then I saw another CZcamsr show same results, and even my favorite Ulta associate told me she had heard same thing. Have you seen any reliable scientific data? All of your sunscreen videos have been helpful in my search for a new daily sunscreen, so thank you!!

The LRP's new 400 UV cream is amazing! I have oily/acne prone skin and although they marketed the fluid version to be more suitable for such skin type, I much prefer the cream version actually. So lightweight and doesn't make my skin look shiny at all. Seems to have a reliable protection and water-resistance? Amazing.

Had an American friend visit (Canada) in June. She complained about sunblock stinging her eyes. I gave her my LRP Anthelios to try out, warning her it wasn't available in the US and if she liked it she best purchase before she left. She missed the n/a US warning and was disappointed she couldn't find it when she got home and Amazon Canada wouldn't ship it to US. She's visiting again in February and will be stocking up. 😁

I really like the textures of La Roche-Posay’s chemical sunscreens, but I’ve never been able to wear the Melt-In Milk or Ultra-Light Fluid because of that white residue. My guess is that it’s the silica or polymethylsilsesquioxane in the formula that’s supposed to help the formula dry down better.

uvmune 400 filter is supposed to be one of the new kids on the (sun)-block and very good with qualities many others lack and LPR use it in some of their products. Something to look out for? Maybe not sold over counter, as USA is backwards in its filters, but can probably be ordered.

I've been using Eucerin Anti-aging face cream SPF 50 with Hyaluronic Acid and my skin is good with this one. I've an oily t-zone and it keeps that at bay before applying make-up on top. the LRP mineral is formulated with various particle sizes of titanium dioxide that protect into UVA well. L'Oreal has invested a lot of research into formulating Titanium Dioxide so it's more protective. Of course not as good as new gen organic sunscreen filters, but the PFA rating is 21 on this one which is outstanding for a mineral sunscreen, especially considering it doesn't feel like chalk on the skin.

    • @jrmint2
      @jrmint2 Pƙed 2 měsĂci

Thank you for explaining this. L’OrĂ©al is a leading sunscreen brand and so many ppl say the titanium wouldn’t protect from UVA, but it says right on the box that it’s got high UVA protection. It has been so confusing. I know that there is UVA-1 and UVA-2, do you know if it protects well into UVA-1 range? I’ve read that iron oxides can provide some UVA protection too.

Me: Applying LRP Anthelios 50 tinted sunscreen then pull up YT and find this video😁. Good timing! I’ve been waiting for my husband to travel to Europe for work to pick up the UV Mune I’ve been wanting to try. BTW, would you do a similar video on the Ella MD sunscreens please? I’m interested in trying them, but they’re not cheap and I want to pick the right one to try. Thanks! Great video!

i'm currently use Aveeno hydrating SPF but mixing it with Colorscience Glow and Colorscience Flex because both of the Colorscience SPFs are way too drying on my skin. The Aveeno Hydrating helps a lot. After these are gone, if someone tells me that any of these La Roche Posey SPFs are hydrating, I will try them.

LRP UVmune sunscreens are available at Care to Beauty. I spent $100 and got free shipping. Arrived within 5 days. Previously I spent $6 or $7 for shipping on $50 purchase. Great service.

I have tried the UV Mune, I got it because of the unprecedented UVA protection but unfortunately I was turned off by the slight yellow tint and alcohol in it. I’m going to try the Anthelios AOX off of your recommendation, thank you. Wanted to ask about oxybenzone though, is that a safe chemical filter? I have heard that it is an endocrine disrupter.

my skin is reactive to drying alcohols in skin care and anthelios one has alcohol denat as second ingredient. I gave it to my mother, cause I can't wear it. As it was supposed to be good, cause La Roche Posay is a medical type of brand, I didn't think to see the ingredients list. My bad, now I read SPF ingredients too, even I don't recognize most of the ingredients...
