The weirdest of all facts on Vettel's 2010 title winning campaign is the fact that he had not led the championship before
if the FIA disqualifies both Max and Lewis from the WDC for causing "drama", then Bottas will be world champion while never leading. I know, it's impossible, but it's fun to think about it.
@@Bearical imagine chaos in the final race and everyone gets disqualified. Kubica win the championship
@@Bearical I think we need the FIA to do that.
@@Bearical hi Bearical.
@@DiscoveryRoad 2008 Brazil should be number 1 anyway.
Ah yes, a video about title deciders. A nice reminder for us Brazilians about the end of the 2008 season, am I right?
It's sad to think what may have been had Massa never been hit by that spring
I hear it is forbidden to talk about that race in Brazil
@@phoenix1279 it is
I feel for you, mate. If it makes you feel any better at all, there were a *lot* of people in the UK who, whilst cheering Lewis on, were genuinely crying out of sadness for Filipe. He's very popular here because he's such a nice guy. Had his team not let him down a few times during the year, he'd have won the championship before Brazil. So please don't hate us over it (or Lewis - or Timo for that matter!), but you can have damned good reason to hate Ferrari. Talk about inept!
@@Xiphactinus talk about ice in one's veins. I was so cold and didn't dare breathe until I heard he was alive. Then came the bad news. It's a miracle he recovered at all, let alone so well!

2008 will always be the craziest man, last race, last lap, last corner, last place needed. Legendary
While the other title contender already crossed the finish line (and thought he got the wdc)
IS THAT GLOCK GOING SLOWLY?!
"IS THAT GLOCK" has to be one of the most iconic moments in all of sports.
*cries
Massa feels so devastated after hearing Lewis got 5th..
Who knew the craziest one was ahead of us. Max winning at the last lap after the drama in Abu Dhabi.
That is the craziest I've experienced so far, so much drama.
Definitely the craziest ever though I think Verstappen's win has been completely overshadowed by the controversy which has taken away from it
@@williamhobbs4202 nah, it wont be later into the future... Michaels championships are also remembered in a good way
@@williamhobbs4202 Nah, no mention of the stolen Ferrari technology on the McLaren in 2008. Funny when there was a big rules change in 2009 and no stolen Ferrari technology available, the McLaren pace fell off quite a bit. The last lap of Max passing Lewis will be shown on T.V. over an over again. Probably no mention of the age of the the tires, or what else people are complaining about.
@@danielorourke5224, Spygate was 2007
That happened two days after this video 😂
There's one added to that today, what a race!
Congratulations to Verstappen, well deserved winner of this season!
I still dont believe it, maybe when i wake up tomorrow 😂
Im genuinely surprised that there are no stiupid comments saying the the race was matchfixed or verstappen cheated
@@mrmemer2179 as a Mercedes fan ikr people talk too much
@@mrmemer2179 he cheated
Staying out did not backfire for Glock. He gained positions.
Thank you for saving me the effort of writing that 🙏
Depends on your definition of "backfire". A whole country hating me would seem bad to me.
Yeah but still Glock was destroyed by the Italian media and received death threats from fans I mean that is seriously messed up🤦♂️
@@phoenix1279 I can kinda understand Italy's reaction to Glock's troubles given it was Hamilton vs a Ferrari, and you know how much Italy loves their Ferraris
@@corbinselanne7990 death threats? Really?
This season is history:
6 red flags, Max and Lewis going with even points in the last race, and ofc NIKITA MAZEPIN, and a crazy championship battle
spinning around while rocking adidas hardbass music in the background
@@nu3566 yep
Just disqualify everyone and make Mazeking WDC
*mazespin
I do find it funny nobody mentions that Schumacher has the same if not more accident than Mazapin.
2007 should definitely be in there with Kimi, hamilton and Alonso all in it in the last race.
I'm glad you called Lauda's decision to withdraw as a brave one. I remember watching it and being relieved. I honestly didn't care which of the two gents would win the championship, but I didn't want to see either get hurt, either. I was a nervous wreck throughout because that rain was virtually as bad as this year's Spa.
The less said about '94 the better. I'm still sore about that one.
@Cemi get a job mate
@@leostreat3573 …. Watching F1 = no job?
At least we got a fantastic movie out of it
@@KingENDLESS did you not see the comment ?
@@KingENDLESS it was spam ffs
now even the last lap of the abu dhabi grand prix can be added to the list
the last lap was crazy af
i literally jumped of my seat
Man. So many great battles over these years. Let's hope for a great last battle with Max and Lewis!
begone bots
Abra kadabra Fuck off bots
All I want is last lap verstappen just ahead of Lewis Lewis goes for a move at the last overtaking place they hit and spin both have no wing and it's just about who can drive slow but fast to the flag the fastest

I still can't believe Vettel won the 2010 title, without leading the Championship even once!!
I am also glad to witness this season, as it definitely has made it's place in the history books of F1!
Without bad luck Vettel would have wrapped up the title much earlier
@@phoenix1279 totally agree
@@phoenix1279 TBF everyone that season had lots of bad luck.
And now the greatest title decider has just been completed today! What a race Verstappen in a last lap god send! Congratulations!
The choice to stay out didn't backfire on Glock, he still finished ahead of where he was before the other chose to pit.
Missed the 1974 United States Grand Prix both Clay Regazzoni and Emerson Fittipaldi had a tie points, but unfortunately for Regazzoni he suffered mechanical failure.
04:54 "Turning into the apex" LMAO
The bias
1984 Portuguese Grand Prix: the first Grand Prix staged in Estoril and McLaren duo Niki Lauda and Alain Prost went into the Finale separated by just 3.5 points. Lauda went into the Finale ahead despite Prost having recorded 6 wins in the season (up to then) to Lauda's 5. To beat his team mate, Prost needed to out score Lauda by 4 points, which he could do by winning the race with Lauda 3rd or lower. Prost qualified second behind outgoing champion, Nelson Piquet, while Lauda appeared to have it all to do from 11th. Typical of the year, Lauda knew that he couldn't match Prost in qualifying, so he concentrated on the setup of his car for the race and by driving consistently, not over driving in the stress of the championship battle, he picked off car after car, until Williams bound Nigel Mansell, driving in his final race for Lotus, retired with brake problems and found himself in second position, the minimum he needed to be crowned champion for the third time.
Prost went on to win the race, his seventh win of the season, in a bitter sweet manner because his first title slipped from his grasp by just half a point, the smallest margin in F1 history
NASCAR's Cup Series has an even smaller margin: 2011, Tony Stewart by tiebreaker, five wins in the last ten races to Carl Edwards' one the third points race into the season
@@corbinselanne7990 I'm playing devil's advocate here, would cynics scoff as since 2004 NASCAR has not had a season long points battle, instead having various iterations of The Chase for the Cup?
@@SiVlog1989 IndyCar 2006 also ended in a tiebreaker, but that series is a season-long points battle. Sam Hornish Jr was the winner.
@@corbinselanne7990 Cart 1999 is another one as well as I recall, although that one was overshadowed by the tragic death of Greg Moore, so nobody was celebrating one way or the other
*_IS THAT LATIFI !!!!!!_*
I think 2012 was a good one too with seb dropping to last and a damaged car and still won
In tricky weather conditions too
@@pixytokisaki1457 and without radio and a bad pit stop
1989, 1990, 2003, 2007, 2012 and i really enjoyed 2016 too. It wasn't crazy but one of the most intense race in the history of title deciders i think.
Time to modify this video 😂
I would argue that, already, 2021 is tied with 2010. That decider race in 2010 cannot be beaten, but the overall 2021 season cannot be beaten either.
Both are supreme in their own way.
Is that glock will forever be legendary, along side 2007 and 2010. Sadly with everything that went on in that final lap will make everyone forget the whole season
Little did mat know... there would be a seventh added today
"Is that Glock?" and "Nicholas Latifi has crashed" both have the same energy to me
Wait a a video from wtf1 that's not either 4 min or an hour and a half?!?!? WHAT IS HAPPENING! This is a good thing! So happy to have solid content in a video instead of rushing through things.
2008 was an emotional roller coaster on the final lap
Well I guess we are about to add another one in this list today
Abu Dhabi 2010 will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons
Might have to make 7 craziest F1 title deciders after the race in Abu Dhabi today
I guess you guys have to make a new list after yesterday
Watching this right after 2021 final race 💀
The 1964 finale. Graham Hill was leading the point standings in his BRM with 39 points. 2nd was John Surtees with 34 points in his Ferrari and 3rd was 1963 world champion Jim Clark in his Lotus with 30 points.
Graham Hill just needed a 3rd place finish to be crowned 1964 champion irregardless of whether Jim Clark or John Surtees won the race. Hill was in a good third when Ferrari driver Lorenzo Bandini amateurishly(?) drove into him in a corner forcing Hill to pit his damaged BRM. Hill rejoined 13th but finished 11th, two laps behind the winner when the race was over. Graham Hill himself (and his team) believed that Bandini had been ordered by Ferrari to take him out because the mistake was suspiciously clumsy. On Christmas that year Hill send a record with "Driving Lesson instructions" as a Christmas gift to Bandini. :)
Jim Clark had to win the race to be champion. As it were he qualified on pole and led the first 63 laps out of 65 of the 1964 Mexican GP. Since Hill had been taken out by Bandini this meant that Jim Clark would be champion if he won. Unfortunately for him an oil line ruptured forcing him to limp home in a damaged car a full lap behind the eventual winner. He finished 5th.
So going into the final two laps the running order was Dan Gurney (Brabham-Climax), Lorenzo Bandini (Ferrari) and John Surtees (Ferrari). However 3rd would not be enough to make Surtees champion so Bandini was ordered to let Surtees by on the last lap making Surtees finishing second. And winning the 1964 title by a single point. After not having led the point standings at any race during the entire 1964 season...
Interesting to note is that they had a count-back system in 1964 where only the best 6 races counted towards the championship. Hence Graham Hill - who had scored in 7 races - had to subtract the 2 points he had from finishing 5th in the Belgian GP. Had ALL points counted like they do today then Graham Hill would still have been 1964 champion with 41 points.
The thing is that one could call Graham Hill the real champion on points who cruelly was taken out of contention by Bandini and that Jim Clark deserved to be champion for his perfect race from pole and leading all the 63 out of 65 laps (not losing his lead even during the pit stops) following Graham Hill's "accident" with Bandini. But it was Surtees who benefited both from Hill's and Clark's bad luck and won the title by a single point - after not having been in the points lead at any point during the entire season.
I hope we dont get smth like a "Is that hamilton! is that hamilton slowing down!!!"
Can you imagine a similar finish as last year's Hamilton puncture finish, but again in this final race?
@SneakyJ11991 no way Hamilton could be 30 sec9nds ahead of Max, unless some damage forces him to pit or something, but what we could get is hamilton undercutting Max who unstead commits to staying out which eventually results in:"is that Max, is that Max going slowly?"
Bro I'm hoping for that
This video is even better to watch after the next day!
The one with Senna hitting him and Prost out in the first corner, and then calmly stating: "If you no longer go for a gap..."
max will probably copy that
@@Bearical Technically not a 'title decider' as that was the penultimate race
2008: IS THAT GLOCK!?

Reupload it as "7 CRAZIEST F1 title deciders". Gonna need some wine after this one.
the 2008 brazilian grand prix still hurts me inside
Alternate Title: 6 Most Controversial F1 Races
Latifi > Glock
We’ve got another crazy championship title decider here.
Yup, coming back to this after what happened at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021.
i think this needs to be updated
Makes new video : 7 CRAZIEST F1 title deciders
And now we can add this one to the list aswell.
How could you miss out on 1984? I´m old enough to have seen it myself and man was that a crazy race. Niki Lauda won his last title by
half
a
point!
Well time to add Abu Dhabi 2021 to this list
May have to add 7 😅
Need an updated version LOL!
Safe to say this one goes on the list
Nicholas GoaTifi, the modern day Timi Glock 🐐
Number 1. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021
So many people forget Alfa Romeo were the first F1 winners.
You have to update the video mate
Lets be more like Seb and all show some universal love and respect for the winner and the sport as a whole! What an amazing season this has been
And after today, we have another insane decider
Really, no 2012? That's a yoke
Yeah considering he had to come through the field twice
nor 2007 when the championship isnt sealed literally till the final race, Kimi-Alonso-sir Lewis 3way battle in the final race
I think this 2021 finale is better than all of this ones
There's nothing else like it 🔥
Imagine Verstappen DNFs because of his gearbox back in Jeddah and Hamilton spins because of lack of grip and finishes P10. Mad.
if his gearbox breaks down they will probably shift less which will extend the durability.
Nah even funnier Max and Lewis both try and take each other out and get DSQ'd so Bottas takes WDC
update the clip to include this years race that was the craziest race ever
I think you can add another one to the list 😂😂
I loved Rush, as I wasn't alive to see the real thing, it was awesome to see it play out on screen.
Watching this right after the race well done Max
Is that Glock, is that Glock going slowly ?!
NO GOD PLEASE NO
Little did they know that the very next day there would be another crazy title decider!
Just got the notification for this and I have to say that the timing of that notification was brilliant.
I think we need this list to be remade with todays race on it. Christ.
This aged well 😂
I think we have a new addition to this list
The End Is Near 😂😂🔥
Right there's some great title deciders on this list apart from 2008 in my opinion
But there's 7 other big title deciders missing from this list
1956. Monza Fangio V Collins V Berha. Fangios steering arm broke on lap 22 forcing him to retire, Berha retired aswell, and Peter Collins gave up his chance to win the title and handed his car to Fangio because he felt he deserved it more. Fangio won the title by 3 points
1959. USA Brabham V Moss V Brooks. Moss lead early in the race but retired handing the lead to Brabham which he held until the last lap where he ran out of fuel but amazingly he got out and started to push the car and eventually got it over the line in 4th place then he fainted due to exhaustion but what's even more amazing because Tony Brooks was in no position to win the title Brabham didn't even have to do what he did he could have just retired and still win the title
1964. Mexico Surtees V Clark V Hill. This is what I believe to be the greatest championship decider of them all, John Surtees was the rank outsider going into this race and when he fell to 5th at the start of the race it seemed all over, Hill was in 3rd and Clark was 1st this would have meant Hill would have been the champion but that was until half way through the race when he was hit by Lorenzo Bandini from behind which allowed John through, this now meant Jimmy would be the champion but then with 7 laps to go things changed, Clarks car was in trouble and with 2 laps to go lost the lead and the title this now meant that Hill would be champion again but that was until John Surtees who to everyone's surprise was now 2nd flashed passed the line on the last lap and became an 8 time world champion because before he was a F1 racer he was a 7 time motorcycle world champion, the championship lead changed 3 times within 2 laps that's crazy
2003. Japan Schumacher V Raikkonen. Schumacher started 14th Kimi started 8th in the early stages of the race Kimi was in a better position that Michael because Michael suffered from a collision losing his front wing but after a good pit stop was up to 10th fighting his brother but Ralf wasn't making it easy but Michael Schumacher kept pushing then later on in the race Ralf almost took out Michael but only clipped the rear of his car at the chicane but after all the hard fought battles, collisions and near misses Schumacher managed to finish in a points scoring 8th place and with Kimi in 2nd Schumacher won his record 6th world title breaking Fangio's record in the process
2006. Brazil Schumacher V Alonso. Alonso was starting 4th and Schumacher was 10th, Schumacher was to suffer a massive blow when he suffered from a puncture dropping him to 19th but then for the rest of the race Michael was fighting his way back through the field pulling off overtake after overtake including one of the most iconic of all on Kimi Raikkonen into the Senna esses sadly Michael missed out on the championship to Alonso but he showed his fighting spirit and proved once again why he had won 7 world titles in previous years because he is hands down the greatest of all time, keep fighting Michael
2007. Brazil Raikkonen V Alonso V Hamilton. Kimi was the rank outsider but he drove a very cool and consistent race through out, Hamilton made lots of mistakes and Alonso kept the Ferrari's honest, but Kimi held on and won the race and the title by 1 point, by the end of the race the championship standings looked like this, Kimi 110 points, Lewis 109 points, Alonso 109 points when before the race the points looked like this Lewis 107, Alonso, 103, Kimi 100 what a turn around
2012. Brazil Vettel V Alonso, Vettel got hit at the start which put him last and Alonso had just moved up into the podium positions which would give him the title but then all of a sudden a good few laps later Vettel came across the line in 8th place then even later in the race there was drama at the front, Nico Hulkenberg collided with race leader Hamilton forcing him to retire this now meant the championship was back in Alonso's hands but Vettel was flying and was soon up to 6th and then with 2 laps to go Paul Di Resta crashed coming up to the last corner bringing out the safety car which now meant Sebastian Vettel became world champion by 3 points
How could you miss those title deciders out
One more addition to this list then… 2021 Abu Dhabi GP
Honestly I really do think the 1997 European GP could fit on here, thanks to the qualifying times of the two frontrunners in the world championship setting the stage (and...Frentzen) followed by Schumacher's hijinx costing himself the championship and runner-up status.
Funny how no one ever talks about those 1994 and 1997 seasons. I have clear vision about who the real ”GOAT” is.
1 day later, and the list already needs to be updated.
Lmaooo the last thing I ever expected to see in a wtf1 video was the Phillies phanatic (green thing chasing atv) Go Phillies!
I think it needs to be 7 now
Well, this list is already incomplete now
Now you need to add the 2021 F1 World championship title too😍😍😍
Max in the last lap unbelievable ☀️
This is one amazing season
I think you can add one to the list now!!
You need to update this with 2021
i imagine years after 2021, some youtubers like wtf1 will make a video about Max and Lewis. that would be cool
I'm watching this video just one hour before the Abu Dhabi Grand prix. Who knows what we're going to witness today!
holy crap, I'm a Phillies fan and i never would have guessed I would see a Philly Phanatic clip in a WTF1 video hahah
This video will need a minor update...in my opinion, Abu Dhabi 2021 could definitely fit on this list haha
I'm disappointed you didn't include the 1974 season.
Is that Latifi?!?!? 😂😂😂😂😂
Now, this list must be 7 craziest F1 title deciders
"Is that Bottas slowing down?"
might want to add another to the list
Well, we can add one to this list 😂
Webber and Masa, the both still deserve a title, just like max on Sunday (in my opinion)
webber? really?
Add 2021 onto that count. Today has been crazy.
The three saddest words I've ever heard in F1 -
"IS THAT GLOCK?!" - Martin Brundle
2012 Brazilian GP is missing...that too will go down in the history book!
Now you can add 2021 as well 😂
Yes, 2021 will be no.1 in the next video no doubt
