Honestly, game is better than modern f1 games, if it had modern graphics it would be best f1 game ever...
Not really, since its a pretty acessable game for low end PCs, and pretty much with modern graphics, you would cut half of the playerbase, since lots of guys only play this game because its good (obv) and their PCs cant handle better games, geez, even my 2GB RAM - 1.48 GHz shitbox plays this game fine

@@nightvvisher7713 Still, people like me depend on games like F1C to have some fun with simracing (at the time of its release, F1C was considered the 2nd most realistic racing sim, only losing to Papyrus' GPL), the graphics are kinda good if you put them all on full, so i guess high end PC players can have fun as well

IMO by far the best F1 game ever made. Believe it or not, but we still have a community with a couple of leagues still running. Can't let such a classic go even after almost 20 years.

One of the league is classic league, we started in 1996, now we are (always sundays) in 2009, but you need the VB All season mod(free & big) :)
and there is on another day a league, next season is 1983, season by season ;)
Not only you can change points system, you can also change tyre value, front & rear wing, engine etc list goes on. Its still the best game even now.

Ah, this game. It was my childhood too, only difference is that the year isn't 2003, but 2007. I absolutely love the glitch where the AI jump the start and it messes up their brakes, so they just plow straight on into the barriers at full speed. Nostalgia hit me real hard watching this video.

The F1 2001 footage just gave me huge flashbacks. Just looking at the Jaguar brings back so many memoris. I loved playing F1 with my Hotwheel Cars and the Jaguar was my all time favorite. Everytime I watched F1 with my dad I hoped there will win.

Oh man... I remember those mods! They were awesome! I loved the fact that they included specific liveries for each GP, with updated sponsors, helmets etc.

@@Untasfasfled if you take a look in the track data files they included every failure event in the selected GP as well as pit strategies for each driver. Something you can't do in the latest rfactor 2 f1 mods.

I used to play F1 2006 on PS2 even 15years later because of the good old V8 sound, the live commentators, the manual pitstops, the crowd cheering when you pass near the grandstands.

I've played this game for two or three years, on my first computer, when I was little. I can't describe how much I've loved it, and a couple months ago I couldn't resist and I've downloaded it on my actual computer. It's always good to play it, it's hands down my favourite F1 game ever.

This game is very nostalgic, I still remember when my father introduced me to the F1 Challenge 99-02 game when I was around 8 years old after playing this game a lot I became a Formula One fan

I distinctly remember driving almost exclusively on Monaco or Spa, driving always in chase cam, abusing the feature that allows you to see other drivers' perspective midrace just to look at myself while I was racing from the view of the guy behind me. I don't why but I loved to do that. I have nothing but good memories from this game.
I think it would be awesome if Codemasters released an F1 2014-2020. The fact that you could actually choose between various seasons was what made it my favourite game

I remember I was a huge fan of Ralf Schumacher and I fixed some inner settings in the driver profile so that he could win and my pleasure back there was just to change the camera and watch a virtual race seeing him winning all the time lmao, even creating a table of the results! What a time! Thank you dude!

I’ve been playing this game for the last 3 years, and you just mention all the bugs and absurd moments that I faced practically every race.
Btw, although the interface is not so convenient (especially the esc button), I still find it to be more competitive and challenging than F1 2020 (that I also like, but not so much)
Anyway, I woke up my neighbours because of the laugh!

Man I loved this game. I used to mod the shit out of it. I'd download the RH2005 pack and then just create a complete fantasy season with made up teams with weird ass driver lineups. Good times.

I've played this game too..and that time im so addicted to it and still play it until 2007 if im not wrong. There's a web that give you liveries for you car, and you know what? you can custom it into the season you desire. all of the drivers and the cars. Im just feeling so hyped ay that time. My favourite custom livery is BMW Sauber and the Spyker.. it just "wow!"
