You are an Outer, a new breed of human being that appeared in the aftermath of the Moonfall calamity. As a mercenary for the Orbital organization, you are on the front line of a desperate war for humanity's survival against the Immortals-corrupted AIs that have rebelled against their human creators. Piloting a fully customizable mech known as an Arsenal, you must team up with mercenaries like yourself and complete missions to defeat the Immortals once and for all. But be careful-in a war fought by mercenaries, today's allies can become tomorrow's enemies.

I was really pissed when i heard how people started sht'ing on this game. Seriously finally a good looking mech game and everyone shts on it...O_O I was like "All we have are games where mech dont even look human like, gundam games and games where you play with mech 1 or 2 times. Are you drunk people?" And don't get me started withh devs that want mech to look "realistic" I want my huge a s s laser
Agree ! Mechanoids aren't realistic and I don't care, when I play with armor units I want my arm-mounted railgun AND a battle-axe.

The armored core fanbase seems to love this game. screw everybody else.
I'm one happy customer that they brought Daemon X Machina to PC. I first bought it for Switch and am not dissatisfied at all to buy it again. Aside from the lack of marketing for the PC version this game has had a release with zero issues for me so far. I wish they make more of these games as a mecha fan.
Also, why does RoboDad look like a budget Ganondorf? A Ganondork perhaps? Since he's too stupid to even speak.

The X logo looks like "Darling in the Franxx" and that anime was also a Mecha genre. Looks great

Seems good, looks a lot like a God Eater style with mechas, which is good.
Only issue i have based on this video, is how much screen the HUD takes.
PS: Quite curious is the story any good, or does the focus is on combat only?
You can customize the UI actually. Took me forever to figure it out though.
The story is interesting, but the storytelling is garbage. I'm 75% done with the game and it seems like the important stuff got crammed in the end due to time constraints.

This reminds me of the old Armored Core on the PS1.
It’s made by the original AC devs. They all quit Fromsoft after AC4 For Answer, and left to make their own company to continue the series.
That’s also why AC5 and VD were so lackluster, and why it’s been over a decade since the last AC game.
(Also, AC6 trailer seems to be more ps2 era based, and DxM feels like more of a successor to AC4 For Answer, in terms of gameplay)

I hope this game gets cross-platform play with the switch version(as I think they have the same content) because God damnit the online community for the switch version died when the steam version released and I don't wanna shave out 60 bucks for a game I already own on my preferred platform just to be able to easily play online lobbies quickly.
I heard it is too choppy on switch. So I'm glad it is on PC now.
I own it on switch. I honestly don't have many technical issues on my copy, and I played most of the game in handheld mode.

Yes, after AC4 For Answer, over 80% of the AC dev team, and lead game and mech designers, all quit Fromsoft to start their own company and they made this as their first title.
That’s also why we hadn’t seen anything from Armored Core for over a decade now.

I got bored/busy. I would love to go back to it at some point, but my motivation for long games took a huge hit last fall and it's been hard to build up the motivation again.

Why do these games insist on using a center point targeting system and put them on a console, when they could use something similar to resistance retribution. Having to move the camera so you can keep your target in the center reticle feels so nauseating at times. It's understandable in fps games, but when you're controlling a mech with all its advanced systems, why do you have to manually aim at a target?
Edit: Okay, I've spoken too early. There's a lock on system that doesnt lock your camera to follow the enemy. That's good. Definitely would be easier to play on console.
