- 6.7 Powerstroke How to Replace Vacuum Pump
In this video I have a 2011 F250 with the big 6.7 Powerstroke engine and the truck has no brakes, well no power assist so feels like no brakes, also has check engine light on. This is all caused by a failed vacuum pump. In this video I will show you how to replace the vacuum pump and make it a successful repair. Let's get started.

Awesome vid Tone! Kind of rare to see you having to do something over but it’s exactly what you do. You make a mistake then you go back and fix it right. Like I said Tone is the real deal at mechanical repairs he hides nothing which is why I watch. Plus I can learn something and have fun at the same time.
Thank you Bill I truly appreciate your loyalty. Yes I make mistakes here and there just yet to learn from them and share so others know about them. Thank you very much for watching.
Good video, Tony. I’ve been there too, get a little bit ahead of myself, and then had to go back and start over.
Thank you Steve I appreciate you watching. Yup sometimes you just miss things
Gravyyyy. Awesome vid bud!
Thank you my brotha. This one was surprisingly not leaking but no vacuum. Thanks for watching
Hey awesome channel!!
So I have a 2016 F250 Diesel I was on my way home the other day and all of the sudden I could not brake my brakes were hard as concrete and then I was seeing white smoke come out of my exhaust it freaked me out I don't know what was going on so I pulled over..... my truck is deleted with a switch on the Fly.....
And I opened up the hood and of course I am not a mechanic I didn't see anything but I drove the truck home going 20 miles an hour I had to use both of my feet to brake..... is it the vacuum pump? because I do have that leak that you're talking about it's all over my driveway my wife's uncle is a diesel mechanic he is retired he doesn't mess with it anymore he told me that it is the vacuum pump but is the white smoke part of it is that normal that was coming out of the exhaust
thank you so much!!

Hard brake pedal is most likely the vacuum pump failing and is easy to test to see. White smoke from tailpipe is not normal.
