    I really appreciated the detailed explanation of the manufacturing/design process that makes Gearbox paddles unique. I think it would add significant additional impact to provide a comparison to a competitor's top level paddle with a more typical design. The competitor's brand should be obfuscated to avoid any legal issues. Just a price point comparison and overview of the design differences with the same cutaway views to illustrate the points would be extremely effective, IMHO.
    Another good addition would be to include a lower end paddle that most beginner's start with. Again, conceal the brand but this target consumer represents a large market who isn't aware of why they should be upgrading to a top tier paddle from Gearbox as their skills progress.

    What’s next for paddles? Would you consider allowing customers to pick a color, vs having to go with a color? Would you consider a 16mm paddle, similar to the 14E, just a little thicker? Love that your paddle weights are mostly on spec - no other manufacturer can make that claim!

    That was quite interesting. After trying my friend’s Gearbox paddle, I am contemplating purchasing the CX14 as it is being advertised as a softer paddle that helps against bangers.

    Thanks! This is very helpful, I ordered the CX11 paddle and let my pickleball friends try out the paddle. They were impressed with the power generated but I was wondering how the carbon fiber was intergraded into the paddles.

    As an am player, this is exactly what I was looking for .. I don't really care what the Pros use, I wanted to understand the technology. I can figure out how to use it on my own. I have several GBs and have settled on the CX14E .. love it. But I was unsure how it technically was superior. I see that several models are sold out. Good job.

    So I take it this is a closed mold process, or is it open? Is it vacuum infused, you said pressurized, does that mean you are using pumped resin to fill the mold? Does that yield more resin rich outer surface?

    • @GearboxPickleball

      X ray works well. We know when the internal portion of the paddle fails by inspecting the outside of the paddle.

    This is Patrick not Joan. Gearbox is an awesome paddle because of the feel, pop and response. The biggest attribute is it’s durability and lack of an edge guard which I abhor because they look cheap. Anywhere I play the paddle attracts a great deal of interest. I wouldn’t use anything else because of its unique construction, superior material and the price point is spot on!

    I am offering this comment as a constructive criticism and feedback. You keep making these videos trying to promote the advantages of your product using arguments that are totally irrelevant to the overwhelming majority of players (the potential buyers). The average player wants to know how the equipment can help him/her win games and play better. And, for them, material technology prowess is useless for sales pitch. For a game like pickleball, the marketing that works is association with proven winners. That's why the paddles associated with Ben Johns name sell like hot cakes and get sold out, in little time. That's why Selkirk finds so many suckers to part with $333 for an average paddle. I understand that Gearbox might not want to shell out big bucks for sponsoring top players; after all it is a business decision to make the expenditure. But your marketing for engineers (and I am one) does not work for the masses. If Joey Farias was smoking JW Johnson on court, playing singles, your product would be flying off the shelves. But it isn't.

    • @GearboxPickleball
      @GearboxPickleball  Před 2 lety +4

      Hello Sidney - Thank you for the feedback and we do appreciate you taking the time to write this. Yes we do agree sponsoring a top pickleball athlete will help in more visibility and sales of our paddles but we believe that is only one way. The majority of our marketing is directed to the benefits and how these paddles improve your game, like larger sweet spot, spin technology, control or power, extremely durable and much more. But this video was a deep dive and we know it is not for everyone. Well sense you are an engineer I hope you enjoyed this video. Also Gearbox products are flying off the shelves actually. Thanks again for reaching out.
