Is it okay to double up and put 2 of these Gearbox overwraps, 1 on top of. the other, to get to a better fit? Or is this not recommended?

The original elongated GearBox Pro Power Paddle is the ultimate and a person has the option to add lead weights to The original elongated GearBox Pro Power Paddle to change the characteristics of the GearBox Pro Power Paddle for more stability and control if that is what they want. if a person wants the control of the ultimate then buy the Gearbox Pro Control Elongated. The ultimate should not have been compared to the GearBox Pro Power Paddle but rather the ultimate should have been compared to the Gearbox Pro Control Elongated pickleball paddle. I would like to see the original elongated GearBox Pro Power Paddle in a wide body format with a handle long enough for 2 handed backhands.

I played with the ultimate at our club. Definitely an improvement on feel and sweetspot. How do i get my hands on an ultimate?

I’m looking forward to more reviews. I wouldn’t want the extra weight because I love the maneuverability of the pro power. Control isn’t an issue for me either. But for certain others I see this as a solid new option.

Mine is on the way. I LOVE my PPE and find the power great for resets and half-volleys...I can hit those with minimal movement. So I don't have trouble with the pop and power of the PPE for those shots. What I'm curious about is the maneuverability/flickability of this paddle compared to the PPE--THAT is what I separates it from the 16mm paddles I've used in the past. I find I "lag" a bit in fast hand battles with the 16mm so I love my PPE's 14mm for that added benefit. When my Ultimate arrives, will be comparing the 2 for this key aspect and report on it here. I can learn control and touch using the PPE for resets and half-volleys; it's harder to get stronger to whip the 16mm around in fast hand battles, so I'm eager to test that out when mine arrives. ;-)

As a current Gearbox Power Pro Elongated, I would be interested to understand the spin on this upcoming paddle versus what is out today.

I agree that Gearbox makes great paddles. We are also a pickleball sports tech company that released Instant Replay for pickleball with slow motion and frame by frame freeze. FYI, you might want to look at a possible bad batch of these paddles. My Pro Power Fusion has only been used about 10 hours and does not have any power at all. It gradually died the more I played with it. Other people have had similar experiences, so I'm not sure if there's something going on internally with the bonding of the foam and SST carbon fiber or what.
