you should always judge people not by the mistakes they make but how they deal with them, that copper dealt with it pretty well
The best to handle it, as a highly trained professional driver, who's job is to maintain the standards of everyone else on the road... Would be to pay attention and not drive like that in the first place.
Driving without due care and attention is an offence under the road traffic act, the cop should have been held to a higher standard and if it were us mere mortals that the cops loath, we would have been up before the magistrate court quicker than a tart drops her smalls!
Can't say the same about the cyclist, who was keen on hounding the cops.
@@fredmercury1314of course, but we all make mistakes.
Pity cyclist didn't see it that way. Determined to get a reaction for his moment of fame on youtube...
4:23 Yes, the copper made a mistake. Spoiler alert, they are human too. He apologied. Move on. I'm a cyclist too and there is no way I'd make such a big deal about it.
Totally agree. Said sorry, move on.
Not only are they human, but can you imagine the amount of crap he's dealing with on a day to day basis. I'd much rather have officers on the beat too, instead of the great panacea, the speed camera.
Nah, never give them the benefit of the doubt because one thing is for sure, if you pulled out on a cop like that they sure as hell wouldn't just accept an apology and "move on".
I wonder how many times that Cyclist has jumped a red light?
@@johnbaldock6353 Do you, really? How sad. Of course, we'll never know, but I'm guessing the answer is somewhere between zero and a thousand, inclusive. As it could easily be either (although is more likely to be somewhere in-between), quite what the point is of wondering about it goes way over my head. If you want to say, "Some cyclists are arseholes", why not say that? I suspect you want to say, "All cyclists are arseholes", but realise deep down that such things work both ways, eh?
At 02:54 my blood boils! My wife spent her last four years in a wheelchair, and the nonchalance of the van driver is incredible.
How do you know he was nonchalant when you can't hear their conversation. The guy moved once asked.
@@I_Don_t_want_a_handle doesnt matter parking on the pavement is an offence and being an idiot doesnt negate the issue
@@Vteccer666 parking on the pavement outside of London is still legal, so it's not an offence per se. It only becomes an offence when you block the pavement (which he did, although to his credit seemed to move reasonably quickly. Many others would have just told the lady to wait until they had finished)
@@ArminGrewe law changed last june or july to make it an offence all over the uk
@@Vteccer666 no, there was a consultation to change the law. That's not the same as actually changing it. That's unfortunately still pending (at least in England)
03:49 You fucking hero mate, CZcams and Twitter..... The cop in the van probably had no idea what you were on about. Turn the camera off, get off your bike and touch some grass
I can tell you now he didn't. This is from Sheffield, the police station is a fair way down the road from where the nutter spoke to the copper in the van. What a sad twat.
5:08 you mean?
That's the most exciting thing ever to have happened to that cyclist lol
I bet he had a wank over it that evening.
Yep proper bellend
There are few things worse than a self righteous cyclist.
@2:12 Why don't people get this. Even the caption writer has the problem. "Van is totally in the wrong". Yes it is, but the driver in lane 1 is not free from blame either. They are not doing all they can to minimise risk. When you can de-escalate a situation, do so, and do not let your ego come in.
If an accident were to happen here, the insurance companies would hold the driver in lane 1 partially responsible as well even though the main fault would be of the van. Is the ego and pride preventing you from giving way to the van worth the hassle of getting into an accident and increased insurance premiums?
Well said. The van did a poor job joining the motorway but the entire situation could have been resolved by the cammer backing off a bit. Like you say, ego gets in the way far too often these days with people shouting about 'priority' rather than relaxing and de-escalating the situation.
Lorry drivers never lift!
3:50 whilst the gesture to stop the traffic was nice though supporting her argument with her would've been better instead of hiding away, it's a shame the extent of human kindness extended is uploading it to CZcams and Twitter. However in your second video you showed the true colours, a middle-aged YuuTube drama-clout chasing scrub and this is coming from someone who doesn't have a great opinion of Yorkshire police myself. The man got out and spoke to you face to face to extend his apology for his poor manoeuvrer and you shovelled shit into his face for no reason and continued your man-baby rant to another coppa for no reason than to get another line "It's going on YuuTube, name and shame" god I hope I don't see more of your shit on this channel.
Nothing shouts “I’m a complete bellend” quite like saying “you’re on camera” (or something to that effect)
"Look for yourself on CZcams" is my fave 😂
Do they expect the guy to look at every clip uploaded to CZcams that day to find their clip? They probably just desperate for the extra view.
7:14 Id say the Audi driver saw the light change to green for left turn only and mistook it as his. He’s actually in a right turn lane as there’s no access straight ahead.
#8 fs mate. Minor event overly dramatised by you. Clearly you never make any mistakes
What an absolute wimp he is.
Jfc do you think this cyclist actually is going anywhere or do you think he just cycles around looking for youtube material.
Make them pay road tax
All I’d say is you were likely hidden by the A pilled. Depending on the car and angle entire lorry’s can be lost in blind spots.
@@staceycalder9327 I don’t think you understand how the tax system works 😂 nobody individually pays road tax in the uk
#9 do not enter the yellow box unless your exit road or lane is clear. The only exception is if you’re turning right, your exit is clear, but you can’t turn because of oncoming. In that situation, you can enter (because when the lights change, you’ll be able to clear the box).
0:28 I did most of my driving lessons in Morecambe back when I was a learner, and almost every time my instructor took me along that street, I would forget that those traffic lights were there. Luckily, they were always on green, but I was convinced that if I got taken along there on my test, that would be the time that they would be on red.
Ironically enough, the first test that I took did indeed go along that road, and I made a point of mentally reminding myself about the lights, only to be told to turn left onto a narrow road shortly before the bend where I promptly failed for driving too close to a line of parked cars.
Awsome!
6:40 This is a strange pedestrian crossing layout. There is an island in the middle but when the traffic lights control it that does not affect things to any extent. Usually an island divides a crossing into two crossings. The lollipop man seems to be stood on just one carriageway and not centrally as per normal. In this case standing centrally would be on the island. If green lights were showing then an element of misunderstanding would come into play.
4:23 Chris Numnuts hoping to go viral in America
Seems everyone hates Chris 'drama' numnuts
Number 8 making a complete fool of himself. What a bellend 😂😂
Last clip , did the traffic warden tell the Audi driver that he can't park there ? :)
Surprised cops didn't see the cyclist with that massive chip he's got on his shoulder
That biker in #1 needs serious anger management or hang the gloves up...riding with a ton chip on your shoulder is dangerous.
No the biker's reaction is totally reasonable, if you ride a motorbike daily this is at least a weekly occurrence at roundabouts. It's time drivers started looking before pulling out.
Don't talk bollocks all your life.
#8 Christ lad dry your tears
the second clip is where i live in morecambe. that was unexpected to see sunny morecambe in a random vid!
1:50 car park “smash”. The car ‘allegedly’ hit doesn’t seem to move much on impact. Surprised how much damage the cammer’s vehicle sustained.
Yes, and that's a very slow 'drive away'. They could easily just be moving out of the way of other traffic.
You'll be surprised how flimsy many modern bumpers and the brackets holding them are....
“You’ll be a CZcams star” 🤦♂️🤣🤣
4:45 BLOODY CHIL OUT RIDER! He’s only human. We all make mistakes…bloody hell they poor copper you had a right go at apologised how many times. Give him a break 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
reverse the situation and plod would be nicking the driver for careless driving.
That one in Preston, know that junction well. It's awful for accidents.
At 0:38 that just proves how much attention the driver in the Corsa was paying.
3:23 The thing these arrogant people never seem to understand about this situation is: Instead of parking legally on the road, and blocking the road... They've chosen to park *illegally* on the pavement, and block both the road *and* the pavement.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well done. Well played.
What gets me is that by half cocking his van on the pavement it didn't allow two lanes of traffic to pass, so half the road is STILL blocked. So what's with the idea of blocking the road AND the pavement all about? It would have made zero difference to the road to have left the pavement clear.
Even with the use of all the modern reversing cameras, sensors and parking assistance tech, why can't people manage to reverse INTO the parking space, if they can reverse at all. It's really not that hard.
Like any aid or warning, it requires the driver to actually pay attention to it.
... because in a shopping centre car park you want easy access to the boot?
@@I_Don_t_want_a_handle Yeah I think this is a fair point.
My local supermarket has a walkway between spaces where you can load and unload the boot more easily and more safely and still 99%of people won't reverse into the space
#5 the kind of driver that causes mulitlane pile ups.
That's the least bad thing that South Yorkshire police have done!
#JFT97
At least he said sorry. If it had been in America he would’ve just shot you and deleted the video.
They do the same here, apart from the shooting you bit.
#1 weird how they bring their dog on that scooter
I have no idea what the biker said in the first clip 😂😂😂
The cammer on #9 obviously doesn't know the rules on Yellow Boxes either. The rule is "Don't enter unless your exit is clear" as we don't see the FOrd stop we don't know whether that was true or not
#5 Merging procedure isnt always black and white, and isn't easy in a vehicle with poor acceleration like a van. There could also have been a train of traffic behind you, given you're a lorry. Couldn't you just have slowed down and let him merge?... That's exactly what I'd have done, and exactly what a lot of other drivers would have done too.
It's very black and white in the Highway code: Traffic on the slip road must give way to traffic on the carriageway. Van should have accelerated sooner to merge ahead of the cammer, or slowed to merge behind them. The cammer is a truck and is not only under no obligation to slow down to let the van in, but will take a lot longer to build any lost speed up again. Van is totally in the wrong. It's sad how many people still don't get this and try and argue about it.
Agree. There was nowhere near enough space left on the sliproad for the van to ease off and drop back behind the camera vehicle (and that's assuming there's a reasonable gap there in the first place). Just knock the cruise control off for 5 seconds and let the sod join the carriageway - forcing people to stop is not an option.
Worst thing on the last clip out of all those cars, only one actually stopped to help.
#5 we don't know what was behind the cam driver though... really with how fast the van was going would it have been the end of the world to slow a little and let him out?
With the other truck passing I suspect the cammer had already slowed a bit.
Maybe not but it is clearly the van drivers responsibility to ensure they join safely, and he categorically failed to do so. In fact, I am not entirely convinced the cammer did not actually reduce speed, but the van was so distracted he was also slowing at the same rate. Compound this with the fact that the cammer was unable to move to the middle lane and the van created an unnecessary and dangerous situation.
PLUS, as you say we don't know what was behind the cammer - he could have been being tailgated from behind and didn't want to slow down (for good reason).
why didnt the van accelerate further? there was a truck passing on the right faster than the cammer... i mean wtf is everyone suposed to do come to a stop because ppl dont know how to drive?
Why didn't the van just speed up?
Because the wagon driver can't always see what's sitting right behind him. It's up to the van to join safely not the lorry .
Perhaps whichever authority is responsible for marking box junctions in Liverpool can gave that one a freshen up?
Now those bees will lose the ability to build a Honey comb... that will affect the future of bee's.
#10. In the old days that black bar in the middle of the crossing guard's paddle was for them to chalk a number plate of any offending driver so that they could get prosecuted. I think that the new ones should have tiny UHD video cameras in them now, one each side powered by rechargeable batteries in the handle. I mean that driver should have been prosecuted for that ridiculous manoeuvre.
05:58 (#9) Yes the S-Max shouldn't have entered the box unless their exit path was clear, however the cammer, should have anticipated the real likelihood of traffic from junction on the left, and left sufficient room for the Ford to reverse.
Asking a PCSO about Advanced Police Driving.. like they would know lol
I have seen some of these before!
#8 youtube warrior keeping our streets safe, one rant at a time. Or so he thinks.
Shock the cyclist is out to create drama, get a life and move on.
Says the person sitting in a big metal box. Grow up.
@@garyboyle695 Hi Mr Cyclist! Have you found a more reasonable pass time than being a full time 🛎 end yet? 😂
#6 pedestrians always have the right of way, it’s not right in fact it’s a crazy law but it’s a fact.

Jesus, don't accept any more clips from that cyclist.
I won't my son, I won't.

or cyclists in general
2:44 yeah alright driver chill out. He’s got his girlfriends takeaway and needs to get home. How much did you swear at the poor guy?? It’s a miner chill out…🤦🏻
Wasn't aware that cyclists had to pass ANY sort of Driving Test..? Seems the only qualifications needed are a recording device and a Karen attitude.
The first clip sounded like a dog.
#8 that’s Snig Hill police station in Sheffield it’s where police vehicles are parked up the cyclist I’ve come across a couple of times and he’s the type that looks for drama where ever he goes. Complete and utter tool. Copper did the best he could under the circumstances the cyclist was just being a bellend and over dramatic.
#8 Cyclist is an absolute idiot. Firstly he’s riding the wrong way up a one way street so the Officer, whilst he should have checked properly, had no reason to suspect that road vehicle of any sort would be coming from that direction. Second, even after an apology the cyclist acted like he was the most entitled person on the road.
He needs to learn the Highway Code and needs to learn how to accept an apology.
It’s people like him that get cyclists a bad name.
Nope, not a one way.
Smidsy?
Acronym for - Sorry Mate I Did not See You, more commonly used by the motorcycling fraternity :)
Cyclist looking for you tube fame - he pulled out slowly enough so no danger, and apologised… . Get off your high horse (and I cycle regularly in London…)
#5 Totally agree, it is the responsibility of the vehicle driver joining to do so safely, not the drivers that are already on the carriageway. He should have been rear-ended.
#7, why, oh why do these people think that 'putting it on YouTuibe' will have any effect on, or and recriminations for these drivers t is beyond me?
Number 8, cyclist getting on like a ball bag.
Clip #1 unfortunately sums up how all too often professional drivers behave on the road, and the cammers reaction is completely justified.
Some of these "cammers" are far worse than the drivers. Foul language, screaming...how would they react in a serious situation? And as for the "I'll put this on CZcams" guy...seriously, get a life. Or are you Mr Perfect?
I cant imagine what its like to be perfect, ill have to ask the cyclist !youtube, twitter name and shame wtf.
Biker in clip 8 - going the wrong way up a one-way street, and blames the cop! And why s he not wearing a crash-hat? A wooly won't protect his skull!
Not defending his riding but where does it say it's a one way? There's a give way marking on the road suggesting it's two way but with oncoming traffic having priority.
Also you can see the peak of the helmet at the side of the screen. He took it off to talk to the camera rather than removing the camera from the helmet.
Don't worry , nothing up there worthy of protection.
Jobsworth
Not a one way st. You can see cars facing the same direction as the cyclist
The cyclist is an absolute weapon with nothing to do, will stick it on twitter and CZcams, bless you everyone must dick and hide with these threats
#8 no need to be like that. Yes he pulled out, but you sorted it easily and he apologised and checked you are alright.
@6:28 Not correct. You can (and should) enter and stop in a yellow box IF your exit is clear, such as turning right at the lights with only the flow of oncoming traffic impeding you. Of course this was an occasion was not one of those times.
7:35 the merc driver paid for their poor lane discipline there. Had they not been needlessly hogging the middle lane, they probably would have missed the errant Audi.
nice bit of victim blaming there. Also, how do you know why they were in the middle lane? What if the left turns off left just down the road and they wanted to go straight on?
@@ArminGrewe I checked, all lanes go ahead. Clearly the Audi driver is at fault, but had the Merc driver been doing the right thing, this collision may not have occurred. You often find collisions are not due to a single factor.
The Merc didn't brake either.
Driver goes through red light. You="other guys fault".🤦🏻♂️
@@loftyintentions1985 not their fault, but if their road positioning had been better, then the collision could have been avoided.
I'm always looking for vehicles jumping lights at intersections and positioning for best visibility.
The copper apologised one of those things mate I’m sure you’ve made mistakes in your life
Proper cringe that cyclists people make mistakes doesn’t matter if there a copper or a civilian. Get over yourself lad 😅
Whilst I agree the cyclist was a bit of tw@t, if it had been the other way round, do you think the cop would have let him get away with an apology?
6:00 bad cammer, if someone has blocked a yellow box or keep clear then leave them room to reverse back.
How the van totally in the wrong joining the motorway? From the start of the clip he’s ahead on the truck/cammer, there is still a duty for the truck to allow the vehicle onto the motorway. As soon as that van is forced to break he will then be joining the motorway too slow and therefore dangerous
No there isn't. Do you know what give way lines mean? And there was plenty of time for the van driver to get ahead or possibly drop back. It's the responsibility of drivers entering major roads from minor roads to do so safely.
@@loftyintentions1985 so everyone who’s in the inside lane on a motorway has no responsibility to pay attention to vehicles joining? And that doesn’t even seem the case in this scenario. The truck is putting pressure on the vehicle that is ahead and joining. I agree that the van should have sped up though
@@jamesw2539 no, I didn't say that. Obviously you have to try to avoid a collision(which the van driver is massively guilty of not doing). It is the responsibility of the driver joining a major road from a minor road to do so safely. The truck driver is not putting any pressure on, doesn't seem to increase speed and has no obligation to move over or slow down. Remember, if your manoever causes another road user to unnecessarily change speed or direction, then you are in the wrong.
@@loftyintentions1985 I still don’t think the van is completely at fault, he was ahead from the start, maybe should have sped up some more the make sure he could join safely but the truck is not helping the situation and let’s face it, you’re being an arse if you don’t allow another vehicle to join safely
@@jamesw2539 where the van is or isn't is irrelevant. It's joining a najor road from a minor road. Go do your research. Everything I stated is in the highway code. If you're driving along a major road and a van, waiting to pull out of a minor road, starts to pull out and you have to swerve to avoid it, who's at fault? The van driver for not giving way to vehicles on the major road or you for not allowing it to? Or maybe you should move over and put yourself at risk. There might not be anything overtaking so you have a free lane....this time. But what happens next time? Van driver is fully at fault.
4.30 I would Say cyclist fault as HE failed to see a Hazzard to Him self he could see the car better then the car driver could see him..

Maybe we can all ignore going through red lights and not get caught all police are interested in are speeders.
The police complainant - what an absolute tool
#8 was a poor emerge by the police driver, but you can see that the cyclist was in his A-pillar blind spot and had a restricted sight line. So it's understandable and just shows how important it is to be aware of what you can't see as well as what you can. And that applies to cyclists too!
God cyclists are a sanctimonious bunch aren't they!! Ready to attack at even slightest mistake...luckily they all perfect and never break the law or make mistakes
Not all of us to be fair. Agree he’s being a bit of a knob though!
Majority of cyclists are decent. Cyclists like the one on this video who deliberately look for drama (and often the cause of it) are fortunately just a minority.
And how is that different to the majority of dashcammers?
@@ArminGrewe sorry don't remember saying it was any different. As for the other comments I am on the road every day and I would it's the vast majority of cyclists I see break the law.
3:42, you clearly don't have to move stuff off a van via tail lift for a living. The van driver would have to stop his unloading, return the tail lift to its vertical position before he could move an inch. It's highly likely that when he started loading/unloading the mobility scooter was nowhere to be seen, and the probability of one showing up at the critical moment was pretty small.
The suggestion that the van should have parked across the road is frankly laughable. It would mean that the vehicle would be facing oncoming traffic, and the driver would be forced to emerge from behind the vehicle INTO the path of traffic multiple times to achieve his mission; each one being physically dangerous.
In this case, a discussion about how each side might accommodate the other is perfectly appropriate, and as I'm not picking up what actually passed between them, somebody here is being very judgemental.
But by half cocking his van on the pavement it didn't allow two lanes of traffic to pass, so half the road is STILL blocked. So why block the road AND the pavement? It would have made zero difference to the road to have left the pavement clear. Oh, and it would have made unloading safer as the tail lift would sit flat on the road and not at an angle with a lip to trip over or a trolley to fall off.
or he could just park his van legally
#9 5:56 is the cammer complaining the car stopped in the box was in his way or simply complaining in general. Had the car correctly stopped before the box it would have still been in the way.
The black SUV was stopped in the box junction, which is actually an offence and can get you a fine. They were blocking the road for the blue car coming from the left, which is exactly what the box junction should stop happening.
Something makes me think you don't really understand box junctions either and/or don't recognise one when you see one ...
@@ArminGrewe did you even read my comment? Or take on board that it was a question? Read my last sentence again.

Not sure why #8 thought mouthing off to a policeman was a good idea
At best you're shouting at a nice one who takes it on the chin and admits they made a mistake, so you gain nothing
At worst you're shouting at an arsehole having a bad day who can make your day a whole lot worse than you can his in return
