    Good video. I particularly liked the comment about maximum speed; very useful information.

    Tip...stitch thick black leather onto the blaze where the contact is happening

    My SV1000S has the same issue with another brand of bags I use. So when I use them often I
    just use some PlastDip and paint those areas to protect the paint. It really works and is super easy to remove.

      That's a neat trick. How does the PalstiDip hold up? Does it ever rub through or show signs of deterioration? Hos many coats do you put on?

    I have a 2022 Z900. I mounted an SW Motech EVO tank bag to the tank ring. When you set up the bottom latch mount block on the bag, you will need to set it about midpoint on the bottom of the bag so you can ride comfortably. You will need to angle the TFT display max up angle. The bag will make getting to the key a little bit of a pain, but still OK. Other than that, bag works fine.

    You know 3m electrical tape could work for shaffing

    Can't you use the black rubber antislip bodywork protection sheet designed to go between luggage and bodywork. Should imagine its only a couple of dollars.

    What did you end up using to protect the body work? Can you do a quick vid?

      R A I used foam PVC pipe insulation (cut about a four inch long by 2 inch wide piece) and taped that to the bodywork where the bags touch. This is a temporary solution as I’m still looking for a piece of foam to lay over the passenger seat and drape over the bodywork on both sides before I reinstall the bags (the flaps that Velcro together over the seat would sandwich it in place).

      @@Craigs-corner I'd try something like "Clear Sticky Back Plastic Book Cover Film Self-Adhesive" to protect the bodywork.

    All in all it seems like a bit of a hassle to find bags, for the Z900.

    Hi.
    Can you put a full face helmet inside of the bag?

    • @Craigs-corner
      @Craigs-corner  Před 5 lety

      Bruno C. Hello...You cannot put a helmet in the bags. When they are expanded, I believe there is enough room inside, but the problem is the bag opening is a fixed size, and it’s not nearly big enough to fit a helmet.

    Is the pillion comfortable with saddle

    • @Craigs-corner
      @Craigs-corner  Před 6 lety

      Ride by Wire If you’re referring to the riders pillion; yes, I don’t realize they are even installed while riding. It does make mounting the motorcycle slightly difficult (swinging leg over) as I’m short, so I stand on the footpeg and then swing my right leg over.

    where did you order you bags from?

    • @Craigs-corner
      @Craigs-corner  Před 3 lety

      I ordered mine from SDMoto (France). At the time (2 yrs ago) they had the best price and free shipping to the U.S. (was cheaper then than now). There were only a few U.S. distributors then, and they were all out of stock, so I reached out overseas. I’m not sure what the current US supply looks like, but here is the link where I ordered mine...cheers, and Happy New Year! www.sdmoto-parts.com/en/panniers-sets/3544-sw-motech-blaze-panniers-set-kawasaki-z900.html

      @Craigs-corner  Před 3 lety

      Enjoy the trip! I live in the Atlanta area and ride The Dragon quite a bit. You should take the Cherohala Skyway from Tellico Plains, TN over to Robbinsville, NC (the Skyway ends near Deals Gap). If you’re gonna run the dragon, you should also ride the Foothills Parkway. We ride those areas a lot.

    Over $400.00 and they arent made from a material that won't screw up your paint on the back sides??? My saggy Ogio tail bags seem better and better with each review of these things, that I watch. Good honest review BTW.

    • @Craigs-corner
      @Craigs-corner  Před 6 lety

      Art Rendon I paid $299 for mine. I don’t have any experience with Ogio tail bags, but I do have an Ogio backpack, and they make good stuff. These bags do come with clear film to stick to your bodywork to protect it, but it’s not very effective. These bags are still worth it, IMO...they don’t move at all...even at elevated speed...no flappage whatsoever.
