- This time it’s really an exclusive access. Many people have heard or seen videos of this unit, but a few have witnessed in real life. They operate a system that has truly changed the course of war in Ukraine, and it continues to destroy targets of strategic scale, every day. It’s a M142 Himars.
We will find out how their work has changed, after year and a half.

Moscow Mike Johnson has more loyalty to Putin than me, an 🇺🇸 citizen, who knows we must win this war for peace. Besides, most of the aid we’ve given 🇺🇦 has been free because the majority of the arms were obsolete, expired (like the ATACMS given), retired, being retired or disposed of at great cost like DPICM. Some examples: MRAPS, ProMaxx, M60 based engineering vehicles, Avenger, HMMWVs, older Bradleys, M113s, etc.

As a veteran I agree with this comment. It completely baffles me how they can openly support vladimir putin which as a soldier would be treason automatically with severe consequences. But these government employees are treated with different standards, naw I'm not liking where our country is headed.
And are we really going to use the M-1 or F-16 going forward? No.
I don't get why Raytheon hasn't offered Mike Johnson a big check. I'd be fine with them doing so.
The shorter range ATACMS is the cluster variant, and the oldest. It could be more useful against meat wave attacks.
HIMARS is doing so much for the Infantry, now imagine they had the good ATACMS 😎👌
They’ve since received GLSDB (finally!!), and there’s 2 videos of what it’s been doing (and how well it works)… 😎
I've read that there are plans in the works to provide the very systems you speak of.

@@ThinGibbons Yes we do! The stocks that they're using are from the mid 1980s. Many of them were going to have to be disposed of due to expiration dates. So they're putting them to good use!

God's speed in maintaining your freedom and sovereignty.
I am Ukrainian by birth, US infantry by choice. 30 years in America 4 years in the military. There are warehouses full of armored vehicles, artillery, helicopters etc throughout the world which belong to the United States Army. Let's take the some of the stuff we don't use and give it to Ukrainians. And the fact that United States cannot produce more artillery rounds than Russia is borderline embarrassing.
Its checkmate
The F-16 isn't a game changer weapon system, either; but it will be able to reach 3-4 times further, at minimal 15 times the speed of the HIMARS truck. That means an F-16 could go from Lyviv to Kherson or Kharkiv --- or close to it, with the protection of the PATRIOT... so the F-16 could release its cargo on Russians, in a re-enforced spot --- at least 15 times faster than the HIMARS.
The jet could _possibly_ deliver ordinance start to finish (round trip) faster than HIMARS using GLSDB *IF* there are no vehicles in striking distance or that which would take longer to travel to the launch point for a given target, however the reality is not only can this system deliver the small diameter bomb faster than if they were dropped from an F-16 (or any other jet they currently have in service), but it can also send them roughly twice the distance too (at ~150km vs ~70km).
Additionally, I highly doubt they’d consider risking an ever more rare, expensive, and precious piece of kit which for all intents would likely be much easier to find and target (with air defence)…
In fact, f16s ARE a game changer, they just may not last long in such a dynamic war. Also they must have the proper munitions. Idk why everyone says they aren't game changers bc clearly they are and have been since they're introduction; glorious warlords they are. I got to stand next to one a few weeks ago at a museum and that was an experience I will never ever forget!
@MikeOxlong- for sure they will have to protect them, yes. They will be very limited. Still a game changer, I would think, especially considering the russians awacs loss-rate!

I'm glad to hear that no HIMARS have been lost. Poland bought 487 HIMARS. If the border ever gets solved, maybe Poland would give a couple to Ukraine.

Lately there was a film about an Antonov Plane returning 2 Himars due to damage to the US.
One was hit by shrapnel and the other one may have hit a mine, one wheel was missing. Repair seems to be possible. Maybe the US gave the Ukraine 2 in replacement? It is all so dammed close in supply.

The people running CZcams need to remember what country they come from! I actually Googled them to make sure it was an American company.
