  • Showing you how to install the Mcarbo spring kit on your FN 509 and 509 Tactical.
This seems like an excellent 509 upgrade for the money (20$) defiantly helps with the spongy stiff break. Should pair well with the Apex trigger/sear or be a nice stand alone upgrade. Get Protected, Sign Up With Aura 2 Weeks Completely Free with my sponsor

How's the reset coming along? How many rounds were through the 509 when you made the spring upgrade?

For a more consistent result with the gauge, do the pulls slower.

have you checked the primers one the fired rounds to see if you have striker drags on them or have you had light primer strikes with the spring change id like to know might pick up this kit thanks for the video

I did this upgrade and had to switch the striker spring back to stock as I was getting light primer strikes. The trigger feels much smoother and lighter and other than the light primer it's great.

Have you had any of your firing pins break? So far I have not and I have been using the stock firing pin in 2 of mine and an apex in one.

@@jamesmanning8795 no, I’ve only put about 300 rounds threw mine and I only dry fire to clean it. Better to have the fix ready if needed.

Some youtuber filed down a specific part of the barrel a bit and said that helped. I personally haven't tried it, though 😂

Did you get and install it? I just found the apex trigger it will be here Tuesday. I already did the striker. I'm just not a big fan of changing springs but the fn just SUCKS. Everything I've purchased from fn has been over priced and disappointing. I will NEVER. EVER. Buy another fn ANYTHING.

    • @alvinjayv5829

I did get it and have it installed on my fn509t and it's way better than the fn factory springs. I also have the Apex trigger and striker, day and night difference!

@@alvinjayv5829 I did the Apex trigger and striker. My locking block pin was pretty easy to remove. Aside from that I polished everything that moved and holy sht what a difference. I have the compact tactical. Now it's better than my polished apexed Glock. It is SMOOTH I don't think I'm going to change springs for reasons I already stated and it's good enough now. I stand by my position on FN though. No reason I should have to buy a 800$pistol and put another 200$+the hour(s) polishing into a trigger.
