His best video? Anyone agree.. I love how calm he is when crazy stuff happens... Oh my tables on fire...just made a whole in my house...shattered a glass bowl. I love his videos
By far your best video. It is hilarious because of your emotional reaction. Do more experiments that border on the edge of science and psycho. Create a pattern of unpredictability that will stir up more responses like this one. "Perfect pill of egg" could be a t-shirt. I would buy it. Keep em coming Hacker. You do good work. What can you do with GOLF BALLS???
Yandy ya but not a hand full because the lithium is so hot that is would melt the silica (sand) into glass, then it would flow off of the wooden rail and burn the floor. but then again a bucket of sand... that will do the job.
There are many many household materials capable of far more then this, just takes a little work and chemistry. With how frightened society is of everything like this you would think we would walk around our houses like they are nuclear plants. :P
Jessica Wood LOL, if that produced enough to kill quickly (which it wouldn't) that would be the ultimate assassination technique XD. Also you can just stick table salt in water, run a current through it, and it produces toxic gas. Certain drain openers or car battery acid, and certain salts for meat are the basic ingredients to very high explosives as well, not to mention something as simple as cotton or glycerin from soap. Other diet salts can be used to make explosives, and aluminum is a primary ingredient in rocket fuels and many explosives and thermite, and everyone has that. So yeah, its pretty impressive what chemistry can do. Naturally, many of the processes required to do what I said are not only are unstable but produce many toxic gases, so it would be very dangerous to attempt (and illegal in some places), but the fact is its there and its all common household items.
Lithium as a metal is not used in fireworks, because it's not safe. As a salt f.e. lithium chloride it's way too hygroscopic. You can watch it turning wet on air in about a few minutes. Almost looks like as if it melts.
A bit of tidbit, Lithium fire actually burn VERY hot, up to 3,000 °C. That also explains why the ceramic bowl instantly shattered once Lithium flames gets to bright white color.
Reminded me of high school chemistry 40 years ago when we did this with Na (Sodium) and K (Potassium) metals. The metals got so hot as they reacted with the water that they melted and formed small spheres that scooted around the surface of the water as they oxidized. And it didn't take long for the K to get so hot it ignited the hydrogen gas that was being emitted. Nice explosion!
Soo hes all about "Safety First" but then he runs away from a ongoing reacting material witch could start his wooden porch on fire, Leaving the fire extinguisher on the poarch...
To get a big boom you need to move further down on the periodic table. Lithium isn't quite reactive enough, try sodium, potassium, rubidium or caesium. The further down you go the bigger the boom until you hit the radioactive stuff. We did learn that Lithium is a great fire starter tho! :D
If you will put it on water, it is safe because it is the lithium metal which will disintegrate. But for putting it to fire, make sure nothing fragile is near the flame or it will break that thing
I love how he says that you need a fire extinguisher and he freaking leaves it right by the experiment XD the 2nd part looks pretty awesome though. I wouldn't have held to it that long when he sets the 2nd piece on fire XD This is actually pretty impressive (fire part)
if you have not tried termite try it but do it on a place with LOT OF STONES cus it is so freaking hot (use a detonator or fuse cus it almost explodes and can totaly melt the roof of a car )
This was not a FAIL, we had fire and explosions, and the danger of playing with lithium metal was clearly demonstrated, 10/10
he forgot to mention that you have to whisper because the battery can hear you
+King Cletus lmao
it's like a ASMR video
The wild battery hears fear in the voice
1:43 he speaks like he is deactivating the bomb :D
cus he kinda is it blew up
rofl
What bomb?
Rush B
His hands were shaking real bad :c
he is a russian .too much wodka
His best video? Anyone agree.. I love how calm he is when crazy stuff happens... Oh my tables on fire...just made a whole in my house...shattered a glass bowl. I love his videos
"I made a hole in my house" LOL!
5:00 wow now i get the "don't try this at home" part!!!
he said it 2 times before this
Shaky hands
Might be withdrawal---he is Russian after all
bluecrabsandsushi2 just because he is Russian? -_- really you people anyone can have a withdrawal...
Angela Rejametova it was a stereotype joke im assuming
Tamahagane lay off the sugars
too much wodka
3:08 "Throw it in the water and run away!" lol!
*Throws it into the water*
..
*Runs away and leaves fire extinguisher behind*
....
Fuck logic.
RUSSIANS
he ran for some vodka so he can survive the fire
Great video taras! Keep up the great work! God bless you and your family and happy new year!!!

That fire extinguisher isn't going to do anything, you need a class k. Fire department protocol for a metal fire is to run the fuck away.
Class D*
Yeah you're right, sorry.
You'll be fine with a bucket of sand, with more than enough to bury the piece you're burning.
Yandy ya but not a hand full because the lithium is so hot that is would melt the silica (sand) into glass, then it would flow off of the wooden rail and burn the floor.
but then again a bucket of sand... that will do the job.
You would never expect a common household object to be so dangerous.
same thought...
There are many many household materials capable of far more then this, just takes a little work and chemistry.
With how frightened society is of everything like this you would think we would walk around our houses like they are nuclear plants. :P
Bleach+vinegar
or you could just put bleach in the toilet.. when someone goes to the bathroom the bleach reacts with ammonia in the urine to make a toxic gas
Jessica Wood LOL, if that produced enough to kill quickly (which it wouldn't) that would be the ultimate assassination technique XD.

A better question would be why would he leave the fire axtinguisher NEXT to the lithium thingy?
Lol Chernobyl much?
Safety is number one priority... So why did he try to make something burning ON a fucking wood fence ? And near to the grass as well... GENIUS
He DOES have a Fire Extinguisher. :/
Makes sense.
***** He's Russian, ok? He'll figure something out xD
Lol :o
yep and also ih fire exttinguisher exploded he woud turn off the fire , but also turn off his life
You're peeling the battery as if you're peeling an orange
Really coo experiment, but I feel sorry for your house :P
Great experiment. This shows to dispose of battries properly not just discard them anywhere. Thanks
i think this is one of he metals used in fireworks, isn't it?
i think its used in firecrackers, the effect is simular
Lithium as a metal is not used in fireworks, because it's not safe. As a salt f.e. lithium chloride it's way too hygroscopic. You can watch it turning wet on air in about a few minutes. Almost looks like as if it melts.
Now I'm going to have to fix this crap lol.
it's the first time he uses the fire extinguisher i really wanted him to use it!
This was the most educational thing I've watched on CZcams since 2011.
Throw in the water and RUN AWAY!!! haha. You always make my day man. You are awesome :D
This guy is a genius, burning things on a wood surface
where can I buy this guy wanna keep him in backyard like pet
What did you think would happen to the glass bowl when you put something that hot in it?
I like how he says don't do it at home, but describes how to do it in 2nd person
Lithium smoke, don't breath this!
blend tec?
Yup
That's not lithium smoke it is hydrogen gas
rajesh shahi rajesh shahi
the joke
your head
Top lifehack
DUDE THIS IS TOTALY DANGEROUSLY AEWSOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a stupid question. The lithium from fully discharged battery react the same?
It's burn with this spectacular fireworks or not? I not test yet.
Thank you for the experiment. It is cool. For the first one I was like: "Man why don't you take that fire extinguisher with you?"
Looks kind of dangerous...... i'm gonna go buy a battery now
hahahhaha throw it in and run away!😂😂😂😂😂
What would you say if I did this when I was 12 without a fire extinguisher, goggle or gardening gloves?
A bit of tidbit, Lithium fire actually burn VERY hot, up to 3,000 °C. That also explains why the ceramic bowl instantly shattered once Lithium flames gets to bright white color.
why would u do it on wood ?!?!?!?!?!?
drinking game drink when ever he says dont try this at home im gonna try because he says that alot
a large gulp

Your videos never fail to entertain. I watch you videos everyday.
Put the Lithium metal in water, and light the fumes produced.
The Flame is 2000 degrees hot xD
I'd only use burning lithium for melting metal and starting fires. But, the explosive properties are undesirable for safe smelting.
Ha. You left the fire extinguisher there.
"learning purpose" only ;)
his hands were shaking so much o.o
Plastic Glass of Water? hahahahahaha
1 way to ruin a bowl, your deck, and a plant
ok, guys, without clicking on any box to type in just type 1980
awesome
does anyone else watch his videos for comedy instead of science haha
Saw another Lithium Battery dis-assembly video where the guy used a pipe cutter -- brilliant!!
Soo hes all about "Safety First" but then he runs away from a ongoing reacting material witch could start his wooden porch on fire, Leaving the fire extinguisher on the poarch...
But will it blend?
Don't breath this :D
It goes BOOM
Walrus
That’s a nod to some old SNL right?
put it in water and *RUN AWAY* .....**forgets fire extinguisher...**
Man, Taras, you're not just crazy - you're INSANE!
i love how hes telling us step by step things but not telling us to do it
throw it in the water and den run away...
I bet that water is toxic

Wow, all those vidoes with a fire extinguisher close by and he finally uses it. never thought he would actually need it
Are u shaking because u are scared or because u on drugs?
Yes
*IS HE CRAZY*
yes. yes he is
:D
because he's Russian :D
:D
The man is nutz
You wanted to use that extinguisher so bad you attempted to set your deck on fire
Still love this video as much as I did back then
dude is shaking as fuck :D:D
Why are you shaking so much
He is simulating drunkness
He's probably hungry. I get shaky when I haven't eaten in long enough.
My favourite was the part where he throws the lithium in the water and runs, but leaves the fire extinguisher next to the "experiment".
I miss these experiments 2018
when the bowl broke at 5:00 it sounded like music
4:29 oohh.. I made a whole in my house.. lolol best part love it lol
love yo vids dude
He is really smart setting something on fire in a wood surface
THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!! I always wanted to see inside of a battery, hey that can be used like a bomb in the zombie apocalypse!
If you will put it on water, it is safe because it is the lithium metal which will disintegrate. But for putting it to fire, make sure nothing fragile is near the flame or it will break that thing
Why would you leave the fire extinguisher next to the experiment?
That was not a fail. That was awesome
"do not try this at home" and he describes to the audience how to do it
When science requires use of a fire extinguisher, I say that's a win.
Great video! Other alkali metals reacts more violent with water and fire but I wouldn't try this even with lithium.
Safety is number one priority.
*Puts on 25c sunglasses from the gas station down the road*
He was nervous the whole time. Shaking like a cold chihuahua
"Oh snap, I made a hole in my house...." HAHAHAHA :D LMAO
Koji si ti ludak brate, jednom ćeš da digneš u vazduh i youtube :)...svaka ti čast!!!!
I love how he says that you need a fire extinguisher and he freaking leaves it right by the experiment XD the 2nd part looks pretty awesome though. I wouldn't have held to it that long when he sets the 2nd piece on fire XD This is actually pretty impressive (fire part)
You are so funny and so genius so many people love your videos way to go
Dont hurt yourself in any experiments its not worth it. Take care CRH youre awesome
"do not try this at home" continues with what you need!! LMFAO LOL
wooow dont give bro its a fail next time you will make it !! keep going brother greetings from GREECE !!!
4:25 Amazing :D This guy is a dope as scientist!
1:59
"It might gonna go on fire."
THE MORE YOU LEARN.
How hot does the burning lithium get?
Thank for the idea sir! Salute! :D
have you try lighting it and throw it in the water?
"Do not try this at home!" some minutes later " Now comes the tricky part" LOLZ xD
“It made a hole in my house”
*”I thought it was cool so I’m going to do it again”*
There is no such thing as a failed experiment! No matter the outcome, you always learn something.
2.25 ''recycle this away''
2.28 throws it on the floor
:P i love u dude keeo it up
if you have not tried termite try it but do it on a place with LOT OF STONES cus it is so freaking hot (use a detonator or fuse cus it almost explodes and can totaly melt the roof of a car )
bravo to the cameraman if there is one for standing that close
"Oh snap i made a hole in my house" LMFAO i love ur english
