- In this episode of Zeepkist we look at a track full of shortcuts... except they are all fake. I deliberately built a track that looks like it should have shortcuts everywhere but instead blocked them off with invisible walls!

make an easy but long track, and at the end make an very hard part out of nowhere so 90% of ppl are gonna fail right at the end
do a track where there are lots of shortcuts. but they actually slower than going the regular route.

a track with shortcuts so obvious people don't bother not taking them, but then there are secret shortcuts that are way better which you can only get to if you don't take the obvious shortcuts

Next time, leave photomode on, and have Dapper-esque tunnels under the track, going through checkpoints, etc. but with NO way into them. :)
Photomode doesn't show you whether blocks are intangible, so people will assume there's a way into the tunnels - you can add a bajillion rocks at the "start" of the tunnels to make it worse - and they'll just keep driving into things to get to the tunnel that they know is there

@@kANGaming you know when playing on a controller... if you press forward and then turn you can have a very graduatly turn and can easily hold it... you might have to relase for aircontrol, i have no zeepkist but thats what i do if i need small inputs on controller

This, and the rest of the track just has parts that look identical to the beginning, so you don't know if you're being messed with lol.
Or one that just throws you into a random direction at an insane speed.

For the ultimate Zeepkist experience.. sure, use a steering wheel.. but also make a chair out of cardboard or something for added authenticity

i always enjoy pure racing ones, though there was a constant fear that there has to be a cut built-in somewhere ^^

Build a wallride track using only the rotating panel for the wall ride sections. Make it so that you have to turn back at some stage and drive on all of the rotating wall pieces that are now at whatever angle you left them at.

I thought of a concept inverse of this, what if all the shortcuts were invisible wall rides.
If you truly want to make it inverse then the official road is lethal.
I thought of a particular hidden wall ride you could do. Have a jump that lands in the new feather zone that cushions your landing, but have a short-cut wall ride that lets you avoid it.
Pretty sure we had this exact map prior just, with out the invisible blocks.
I like this a lot. I'm tired of seeing tracks where every player looks for a way to cheese or take an absurd shortcut. Honestly refreshing to see tracks driven on the...track...for a change.

…I’m fairly sure the amount of Dapper-proofing might constitute cruel and unusual punishment.
"It's like Formula 1 track limits but in Zeepkist" gives me some (probably bad) ideas.
i was thinking maybe its possible to jump that one barrier at the first wall ride. i dont know if you have enough speed though.
if you get that wheel make a track called 35° Port - the optimal path is to hold 35° left on your steering wheel all the time.
Build a Dapper style cheese straight to the finish and put kill blocks right at the end 😆😆😆
Should do this and do no checkpoints, so people will immediately suspect some sort of cheese.

The idea is good, but instead of (only) invisible walls, I'd use fans, slowsters, no friction, etc to make the shortcuts either impossible or actually way slower, than driving on the regular track.
What about a map like this called “memories” where there is invisible walls on the track and you have to remember where they are through trial and error

do a deliver/fetch quest - take an object to a designated point and swap it out and bring the second object back.
do a kill quest - kill X bots the fastest. include multiple smaller types and have a farmbot boss
tower climb quest - a parkour tower
Epic journey - a race up a mountain with bots and obstacles.
time trial on all
Not even kAN is safe from these porn bots...
I literally have blocked an infinite amount of them and they just keep showing up.

WhenI was playing Zeep i had One joy with very low sensitivity and the second one normal.
Kan get one of those 3d printed steering wheels that you just attach to your controller
Was it Kosmo that actually had a video where he tried to play Zeepkist with a steering wheel? He seemed to have some problems with it, particularly when driving inverted.

How about a track with 2 routes. 1 straight boring quick and the other bit longer complicated but fun. It would be interesting to see if people stop taking the quick route since it boring.
Other track idea is to over lap tracks on top of each other. Work Better with old tracks.
If you want to have fake shortcuts then I think one idea could be missleadingly funny. Instead of walls, put donw boosters on the shortcuts. But they make it so that you are very fast into a not useful way.
It wouldve been funnier if you made it so the shortcuts actually worked but they were secretly slower (due to like boosters or fans or something) and then just confuse everyone whos taking the shortcut way and going slower than the normal people

It’s the “kAN’s Optimistic Narration Derailed” Railroad at this point, since… Tier V stockcar is out of reach of Tier I Level… sorry, but you kind of conned yourself… so, “kOND RR”? Sorry, I know it’s annoying getting so excited and working so hard only to find out you’re 4 tiers away from buying the car you need. But, hey, humor, right?

Invisible walls suck. In the future use visible obstacles that still mess up the player. Stuff like super-powered fans, visible walls, etc. They don't have to be obvious from the track itself, but you should be able to see what killed you when you die.
Invisible walls in Zeepkist temporarily become visible when you hit them, to let you know what happened.
You can say the K word in videos but if I say it in a non hating way in any videos comments and it gets taken down by CZcams for hate speech no watch the context.
An rc controller is interesting but id imagine yeah just using any simracing wheel is really just ideal. The desync'd steering is a legit soapbox steering solution, but its terrible at any kind of speed or cornering. The redbull soapbox races have featured a few builds with that kind of steering. Never seen it work. In a videogame it probably is the best way to steer though.
