Another point of notice: It is in the older parts of the old testament, and primarily with the quote "I had this vision". An angel can be a human being or perfectly human-like, but also some heavenly being which would never appear just in the forest.

A friend of mine used to have a couple of Madagascar hissing cockroaches as pets. That was the ultimate goal of all alchemists in ancient times, and the reason many of them were employed by wealthy and powerful people. I've always wondered if the P in our modern Ph.D (doctor of philosophy) is somehow based on that.
The name change was due to Scholastic Corporation owning US publishing rights, and wanted the change to something more magic related, which Rowling agreed to. It had nothing to do with kids not liking the term philosopher. The first film also had the name difference, but India and the Philippines also had the American titled first film too.
