Your video has been amazing dude - just picked up a Dinghy as a beginner and the trucks were so sketchy. I took your advice and tightened them up a full turn and it's SO much better for me to learn on! Thank you!
Just look how well structured this video is...and how many time stamps he made for us.... Bro... I SEE the EFFORT!!! love for ya it. Won a life time subscriber and viewer.
Anybody new who is about to get a dinghy This is definitely the best review on CZcams and I have to agree with him that if a skate a few miles or for longer than 20-30 mins my feet are killer. Him saying that if you are going anymore than 2-3 miles definitely choose something else is the most true thing ive ever heard. Not to say you can’t ride it more than that long but as many times as you have to push to keep up with other longboards this will always be just a short trip little fun commuter and that’s why you should love it
You are the best downhill skateboarding resource online. I have no idea how you can put out so much skating content and not get sick of it lol. Cheers from the US!
Really appreciate the review! Nice to hear a well articulated explanation of the board feel, pros/cons, and adjustments. Just great content all around man! Just ordered the Dinghy Turbo Flight to mess around on during the times I have only 5-10min to kill. Seems to be perfect to store in the car or take on trips without sacrificing a ton of space. My other longboards are really stable, good for long distance and slides, hence why I wanted this in my collection to mix things up. After your video I really cannot wait to start riding it 😁
So stoked you've found the video useful! Dinghy is def the board for that 5-10min. If you have ay slide wheels, through them on it and you'll have a proper fun time.' Hope oyu enjoy the board bro :)
I have this exact same board and am learning how to skate on it as a complete beginner. Was researching how to slide and glad I got your opinion about the learning curve. Will probably try to learn on a different board then.
Great Video! I got the same specs except for a coffin shaped deck. I really love it but the 105mm trucks are a bit small coming from 150mm trucks. After tightening the trucks it felt much better for cruising.
Tu video es todo lo que necesitaba saber sobre esta tabla y sus componentes, le comprare otros trucks a mi dinghy y otras ruedas para tener mayor estabilidad en las vueltas. Saludos desde CDMX.
Awesome, detailed review! I started learning on the Drop Cat 33 and 38 that I got for my wife and I, but I find myself enjoying the 33 more as I don't do long cruises and enjoy just zipping around our lane. I've been looking at a Dinghy XL coffin as it's slightly wider than the regular Dinghy. Do you think it would make more sense to replace the Drop Cat 38 as we use it the least, or would riding that Dinghy be close enough to the Drop Cat 33 to replace that board?
It does tire out your feet pretty quickly and it does accelerate really fast but loses its speed pretty quickly. My bushings also are really squeaky and it came like that out of the box
Use some parafin wax and sprinkle it between bushings etc, it removes the squeaks entirely. I didn't have parafin wax specifically so I just cut up a candle lol
Does anyone know what the proper bushing replacement for the dinghy is? I'm looking for a barrel+cone replacement with the same size but as mentioned - i'd like a more firm stable ride. Tightening the screws yields some results but I'd much rather have it looser with firmer bushing set than soft and overtightened.
Do you have a suggestion for the best wheels for this board to go over cracks with? I keep catapulting off of it because the wheels it came with don’t handle brick roads or cracks super well
You can get plow king's, but then risk getting wheelbite. Also you can learn to handle cracks by deweighting the board and or driving through the pebbles with force
Great review! I have a quick question. Just got a dinghy blunt and I am a beginner. Won’t be doing any tricks for a long time. So just learning to cruise. Will swapping to 72 plow king wheels from 63 fatty hawks make the board more stable? Thanks.
Maybe a little cause it will make the tracking width wider. You're better off buying after market bushings for stability. Or tightening the back truck a little bit (half to full turn) and flipping the front washer
Flipping the front washer (it’s between the two shocks right?) that will make it more stable? Blunt has 130mm trucks so it’s a bit wider then the classic. Thank you!
@@captureinstyle hmmm, thunder bushings fit well in Bear tkps I hear. You'll have to find out the duro you currently have in the trucks and then get ones harder or softer depending if you want mroe turn or stability
I'm thinking about just buying the deck and using old 139mm indy trucks and 65mm longboard wheels, would that work on the dinghy or should I shell out for the complete?Maybe get a different shape landyachtz deck?
is this board good for someone 5'2 with small feet? I'm just gonna be using it for transportation around my town, which has relatively big cracks and crevices.

"show your local pebbles who's boss"
Fear no pebble!!
Most honest authentic Dinghy review on the internet.

yeah! I recommend you find some second hand downhill boards and use them for learning to slide :)
A good review thank you. I really like the shape and convenient size of these boards. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Thanks for watching! I really like the discrete shape too haha
brilliant review!! 👍🙂👍
investment in your happiness! love it dude. love the way you talk honestly about stuff and give down to earth advice. keep it up dude!
I appreciate that! Gonna keep it going as long as I can :)

I'd actually recommend something liek the Ripper isntead, or a slightly longer version of the Tugboat, like a Sidewalker or the Rally Catr

@@konan8353 cool thanks for the tip
Just keep riding and the squeakyness should go away. @Sjrv00 has some good advice thoguh. You also add dish soap or lubricant to get rid of the noise

I heard Thunder bushings fit well in Bear Tkps
Looking good brosky
bisou
Will this board be good for going down small to medium hills?
Not good for hills at all. Max speed maybe 20mph
Does the Dinghy Turbo flight have different trucks? Or can you just pop on Plow Kings from your Dropcat and call it a day?
Yeah essentially
Do you have a suggestion for the best wheels for this board to go over cracks with? I keep catapulting off of it because the wheels it came with don’t handle brick roads or cracks super well

How do u get sponsored by them
They noticed me and wanted to sponsor me!

I'd go with a slightly wider deck. It can work but the trucks are a bit too wide for it
@@downhill254skate So maybe something like the dinghy blunt? That's 8.6" wide. Thanks for the response by the way, love your reviews👍

yeah should be alright. Bigger wheels are better for big cracks and road imperfections, dinghy might not cut it
@@downhill254skate ok ty!
Look at me, I am the Dinghy now..
hey man, which year was this board (Dinghy Honey Island) released ?
Not sure tbh 🤔
Looks like 2017...
Oh cool i also weigh 70 kg
