I definitely feel the same way looking back at old photos of me with long hair (and sometimes in dresses or flowy blouses that my mom always made me wear because I'd "look more grown up").
That was a fun video to watch Boone. You seemed excited to explain your past and despite the ever present dysphoria that was there, just was living your best life as best you could. I love watching your ongoing story and content so much. I had the fedora era for a bit too BTW :-)
Thank you so much!! :)) I was definitely a "wear what I want to wear" kind of kid. Before puberty, I was especially and unapologetically myself. It's really fun for me to reflect on those times and consider how they've really affected where I am now. Thanks so much for watching!
Boone, my dad says the same thing, even though my second memory in life, around 5 years old, was him telling me I would have made a great girl. I think Dad's have a really difficult time admitting these things.
It's kinda funny to hear your old stories, and how little you had to do to get the reactions you talk about, like being perceived as gay when you were going through your journey finding yourself. During those times, I remember those same responses for doing way less. I think all it took for me to start getting those, "Are you gay?" questions was having only slightly long hair and putting a little cat figure on a necklace. It's funny how little it takes to make heteronormative folk raise their eyebrows and start investigating.
@@boonewilliams5338 High school is the strangest time to experience for anyone; as envious as I am of you discovering yourself so early on in your life, it's also promising to see someone like you not just finding yourself, but living as yourself. It's inspiring, even for me as I enter my late 20's.
Had to sign in to like and sub. Just had to. Anyways, about that make up thing, I'd be worried too as a parent but only due to the fact that 14 is WAY too soon for a girl to be covering her face and blocking those natural breathing pores of her face with full makeup and chemicals. Also at 10, your fashion sense has already been fab af! That scarf also looked great! The jeans and plain shirt and belt, in my opinion seems more nerdy than anything else kinda like how computer enthusiasts might dress to go to a coding competition.
i came out like two years ago but I don't know how to bring up the whole clothing thing because they are supportive but they have a hard time understanding me and what I'm feeling.
I understand that it can be very tricky in the beginning. It may be a gradual process, but I feel very confident they will start to understand more and more as time goes on. I'm sending you well wishes and the very best of luck 💛
My pleasure and by the way even though mick tierney comes up on my name tag my name is mina carroll mick tierney was my husbands name even though he has passed i wanted to hold on to this part of him . I waited till he passed till i transitioned . Its funny you wanting to express your true gender in the cloths you wore going to school ,because thats is what i did when i went to school back in the late 70,s i got my mother to buy me high heel cowboys boots for christmas and got my corderrid trousers taken in on the legs like the girls in my school .this was catholic ireland over forty years ago .
You're braver than I am. I had a co-worker say to me , "At least you don't seem like one of those flaming gay guys." Pretty insulting, and hateful, but, I can see where the confusion could arise. I replied to him, "That's because I'm not a flamingly gay guy. " But y'kno, the flamingly gay men make great friends. There's no shame being a flamingly gay man. I'm not sure that my life would be simpler if I was a flamingly gay man. They get a lot of hate.
lol, i was delivering pizza right around the the time "my egg cracked" and i got this pizza order for this house and on the special instructions were the words, "The brick house full of cuties!" and i was just like... wtf? so i get there, and this woman opens the door wearing booty shorts and has her shirt like twisted up into a knot to make her shirt essentially a very revealing bikini type thing and all her daughters and her daughters friends are dressed the same way and theyre all giggly and flirty and the mom is acting like a cat in heat(edit: just thought I should clarify, I'm not mocking or anything I totally get how she was feeling cause God I definitely know how she was feeling... Just don't know how else to describe it lol.) And here's me, just standing there with pizza like, "Heres your pizza?" and they get all flustered and stuff cause I'm not the least bit attracted to them or flustered by the way theyre dressed and the mom is just sooo confused and trying to act all seductive and stuff and I'm just like, "What? what do you want from me lol?" It was so funny they were all so upset and confused that they didnt get any kind of reaction from me. They still tipped good tho lol.
@@boonewilliams5338 I had a miscalculation moment when you showed the pic of you on your 10th birthday and some how thaught your age was around 32. You do look between 18 and 25. I appologize for the mistake. I personlally have that happen to me a lot. Depends on the look I am going for. Haha it's so true. Heteronormativity is somehow both very dominant but also really fragile

Wow not gona lie finding out your age was a compleate shock. I thaught you were no older than 25
I'm guessing you mean "no younger than 25" seeing as I'm 20 haha. If that's the case, I do get mistaken as being older quite a bit

Your voice is natural and perfect btw. It sounds like the voice you were meant to have. And nobody would even know you were transgender
