I forgot how much I liked these bands. I have been messing around with so many brands I forgot. Lol 😆 it was you how got me thing about it again. I will do .54 green this week sometime. I need a break from the damn wind. Lol
Really like your approach. You give us realistic shooting, misses and all, so we can see what we can hope for in accuracy. My formula is to take your misses and multiply by several times to get mine hahaha. Good job on the choice of tapers. Your speeds match those found in heavier bands.
I would like to try them but at the moment l am stuck with over 5 meters of Theraband role ans a 2 meters of Simpleshot .8mm and not to forget 3 roles of Simpleshot tubes. I shoot over 100 shots a day on paper. Looks like l will be a good shot by the time l finish my Theraband role. Thanks for the knowledge and inspiration. I am a regular follower of yours now.
Just keep in mind its not only speed that counts. How comfortable the draw is makes a big difference in your accuracy. Stiff hard to pull bands will affect your accuracy.
ive just put an order in from GZK ,got myself a thru the fork style titanium frame , and some other bits and bobs lol ordered friday evening , have heard good things on their delivery times so i,ll keep you posted
@@ATOMark My first order from GZK took from 16/6(evening) - 22/6 (morning), I could not believe it, so fast from China to my door in Sweden. Free shipping on my order over 69 usd.
I had a set of GZK yellow anti cold bands and they worked they shot fast as any good latex but they have some kind of additive that made them smell so bad I couldn't take it the box I used t keep them in still smells like them 2 years later. I stay with simpleshot black nowdays good stuff but not winterized.
Gzk bands are all pretty good in the cold but their true anti cold bands are black. Simpleshot has great bands, good speeds and they seem to last. In cold weather I just go up a size.
I haven’t tried the GZK bands myself either. They’re on my list though! You’re out there freezing your butt off and shooting and I’m inside listening to 60mph wind gusts, and I’m thinking, maybe there’s a chance! I’d have to steak down my target box today though. I’ll tell ya, if I could figure out how to shoot in this crap though, well that’d be something indeed lol. Hope you and yours are well. Cheers from the (windy af) desert southwest.
Oh man shooting in the wind it tuff. Once those bands start to vibrate you never know where that ball will go. Its tuff when you have the itch to shoot but the weather isn't cooperating. Stay safe out there brother
Really so all gzk are cold weather bands? I knew orange were fast but I was surprised at how fast they were. I am curious to try the green. The draw on green sucks I would pick orange over green every time.
@@ATOMarkYou could say so, I guess. I don't know, what is the lowest temperature those are ok. Perhaps best way is send a message to GZK and ask that. Someone said, that new green GZK is stiffer than older ones...
@@KalevalaSlingshot the green is for sure. When I started shooting green they didn't seem nearly as stiff. The last batch of .5 I received dealt like .66. I even brought it into work to check with a micrometer and it read .51.
@@ATOMark after I commented, I saw your other videos showing your tests of the Green and Black Bands . How long have you been shooting ? Your accuracy is looking sharp 🙌🏻
I've been shooting about 14 months now but I shot a bow for 2 years before I started shooting slingshot and I used to shoot fire arms with my dad when I was s kid.
@@ATOMark you can see your progression in the Videos. Great content you are putting out. Have you see the guy in Northern Ireland ? Catapult carnage. He is a mean shot too.
hello. I enjoyed the video. I wonder what the band size is. It seems to be 24mm on the wide side and 12mm on the pouch side, I'm curious about the thickness and total length of the band.
Hello brother..can you make video on upright shooting style..and also anchor points for upright shooting..I don't shoot gangsta.. I.like to shoot upright as I feel more natural hand position on upright
Is there a reason you don’t test both size of ammo with the same width bands, unless I’m just being daft I could then judge what is the best band taper for my steel bearings which are 8mm. I’m limited with fork widths asI only have a wasp unniphox catapult 19mm.Always enjoy your posts. I have to mention it’s a great day to be a Glasgow Rangers fan although your probably thinking what’s he on about.
My inlaws are from Glasgow. I did a video recently on how tapers affect band speed. 24-12 was great for 8mm but terrible 9.5mm. I used 25-15 as it is a common taper for 9.5 ammo. If you are shooting a frame with smaller tips you need to use a heavier band to shoot heavier ammo. Like .6 -.7
Well I have some bands pomade I was hoping for your advice on thickness, brand and taper for 7mm steel. Whats the fastest you have put through the crony with 8mm? And what using?
Oh the fastest I have tried so far were the snipersling .50 taper 24-12 with 8mm steel. I had some 304 fps with those on the chrony. I have never tried 7mm steel so there may be a better option.
Thanks for sharing. Great stuff and learning a lot from your videos
I like that push to target. Good video!
great work...Thank you for this awesome video
Thank you for the feedback man. I appreciate it 🙏
Yup, knew these would be good! Use 'em all the time. Thanks for showing this Mark.....

Great informative video thanks 👍

The speeds are great but they are maxed out bands so the longevity is not the best.
Good video brother and thanks again for the testing 👍🏻
My pleasure buddy.
Man nice shooting despite the weather!! I've never tried any of the GZK but all I've heard is good stuff i may have to try some
It is quality stuff. I think the green is the fastest but the draw is really stiff. I will test those next.
Awesome shooting bro!
Great presentation and content as usual bud....well done👌👌

Very good speeds with so thin bands 👍
Not marked as cold weather bands, but somewhere in package You find text "antifreeze".

If I shoot the 9.5mm with the 24-12mm taper you won't get the true potential speed from the bands as the projectile is to heavy for that taper.
@@ATOMark Thanks for the advice
I get a 550% elongation factor with GZK Orange 0.54. Is that around what you did with your test?
I think I got 6oo%
Can you try .7 100% slingshot with 8mm steel please, that’s what i shoot and I’d like to know the speed if you would be so kind.
Many thanks
Steve
I do have some 100% coming but it is onmy .48. K will be doing another order soon with many sizes. I will test them.
Waiting on That GZK green, 24-12mm.
Also , where do i find 0.5 GZK green in U.S??
I dont know if there is a supplier in the U.S. I buy directly from GZK to avoid counterfeits.
Do you buy your GZK bands on Aliexpress?
No I buy them from GZK. The shipping is faster and there are too many counterfit bands on Ali. GZK and precise have both been victims of scammers.
speed is chrono in meters per second or in fps?
Feet per second
Have you seen the carrod slingshot
No where did you send me the picture?
I just found it on CZcams. Looks really cool. I just need to figure out how to attach flat bands to it. I am not a tube shooter
Wonder whats the fastest band/taper for 7mm steel is?
What size bands do you shoot? I can tell you what precise reccomends per band thickness.
