- In this video I will be reviewing Snipersling yellow .5. I'll test the speed draw weight at 30" (76.2cm) and do a penatration test. I will also give me overall thoughts on the bands after testing and shooting the bands.

You can't beat them when it comes to speed for draw weight. They hate the cold but smoking fast in reg Temps. My favorite band of all time.
Ya brother me too. By the way that can was thicker. I tested another can and it was ripping right through it tried the same can in the video.....no dice.

I’ve been shooting sniper sling here lately and it’s amazing for warm weather. The Draw weight is extremely light for the speed ya get. And the draw is so smooth.
Oh ya. It is my favorite bands. It has been a little cold around here lately close to 30-32 degrees. Once summer hits these bands will be screaming fast

It was nice but cold 3°c..... just above freezing. 280+ fps at that temp is pretty good if you ask me.

I had in same bag 23-18 and 23-13 tapered 0,5 band and used bands with wider taper in my latest video thinking why shooting with 8mm steel feels different then before....
You should try the snipersling black. I believe it’s even faster. Loving the vids mate keep up the good work. Much love from the uk 🇬🇧
Oh ya it is faster. In fact I did a review on the .5 and it is the fastest band I have ever tested
Nice work. You made love that frame. I suggest some balistic gelatine or some transparent selicone instead of cans to test penetration. Thank you for sharing

Great bands. Black is a bit faster but seems a bit stiff and longevity suffers. For the bit of speed loss, yellow is just so much smoother for a daily shooter and black is killer for speed. Yellow Buttah, Brotha! 😉
Yes sir I shoot the yellow more accurately than the black. Its worth the 20fps sacrifice.
Awesome video brother! Those 0.5 bands performed amazingly well! Quick question, how do you cut them? Taper and elongation factor?
The taper I use is 24-12mm. I always check the elongation of the elastic about 2x per roll. I take the elongation results and decide them by my draw length to get my active draw length. Then add only what is needed to attach bands and fork. So the when I draw the bands they should stop exactly at my anchor. This is great for speed but not longevity. I do this for tests only I use a different setup for regular shooting.

I'm using snipersling black .5. I ran a few different taper through my chronograph and with a 25-13 got an average of 320fps at around 10°c using 8mm steel

what active length u cut ?
@@dozenslingshotcrazy1023 I'm cutting 190mm a time length. I bought a couple of templates there was only 2 available tapers. They're 190mm x 25-13 and the other was 190mm x 20-10. The 25-13 is 40 odd fps faster. That's 190mm with no extra added for tying the pouch and clips. I shot Into a lake today and easily got over 200 yards. I was curious as to how far it actually goes

I use the same taper, but in.6 anyone knows if the higher draw is worth it or better try out the.5?
I would try the .5 and see if you are shooting 8.mm steel.

@@ATOMark I seen on ur Facebook the snow it was really havey Scotland has been getting hotter we hardly get any snow anymore hopefully the nice weather comes in and u can get some good shooting done do u hunt with the sling or just kill cans and flippers haha
@@seanmcphee1072 I have my bow hunting permit. I am about 40minutes from my house I can hunt with a catty and I plan to do a few hunting videos this year.

I will be doing some videos with my bow and slingshot this year. I think I have one video with me shooting my recurve on my other channel
