the Puigement situation not just ridiculous it's a shameful scandal
Very true ! An absolutely incredible scandal
Pedro Sanchez wants to keep power at all costs. He became president without a democratic vote by finding a "loophole" and ousting previous president. He already has sold his own country, and he will continue to do it in the future. The people of Spain should be ashamed of themselves for allowing people like Sanchez (which there are many like him in gov't) to thoroughly embarass the entire country, but i guess the Spanish are happy enough only with boasting about their so called Gastronomy.
Summer is the best day of the year in zScotland.
Hi Stu, I fully agree but UK is a complete S Show, corruption has no boundaries.
You never been pissed on a scooter Stu?! Spain is big enough to go rural or semi rural if you don't like noise. Come on Spain you can do well with business other than tourism. Just get the bureaucracy out the way. Pump the water south if you have to, for agricultural or cities. Build it and they will come. Sun is power. Water is life. Spanish food is life. Get a grip.
Really enjoy your videos. You are very straight spoken , with the "just my personal opinion" caveat.
Tonight, you made me laugh out loud at the deadpan thanks you gave to your Scottish ancestors for moving to Australia 😂
Absolutely right to be sceptical about the AVE Murcia-Almería date. We were waiting for years and years and years for the AVE Murcia-Madrid and when we finally did get it it makes a dogleg detour via Orihuela & Elche, or, worse, via Alicante. D'oh!
Muy bien dicho , no lo queremos .
Excellent report.
Enjoyed that Stu. Thanks. The Sánchez novela might become interesting or swept under the carpet, if there's enough space. 😂
I never thought I would hear "Spain's number one fugitive from justice" and "soon-to-be-voted politician of the year here in Spain" in the same sentence. Sigh.
It actually happened the same long ago on the affair "Banca Catalana". The only President of the Generalitat of Catalunya who came back from exile was Jordi Tarradellas, after Franco's death. He warned against the forcoming independentist Catalan politics consisting on hidding up corruption with the flag in exchange of votes with the Government at charge of Spain whenever it be. It has little to do with independentism
@@joseantoniodavila2752I entirely agree with you. The famous money the Pujol had in Andorra is probably what is left over from Banca Catalana. Wouldn't be surprised...
Jajaha, España is diferent! 😂
Speaking of robots, I saw a report recently, that some UK supermarkets are using them in the alcohol sections of their shops......
Politicians and Corruption seem to walk the same corridors of power here in Spain
Another great update!
Amnesty for past crimes doesn't mean amnesty for future ones. 😂😊
Good grief! I can't, I feel like we are back in high school with the petty crap.
We got two parking tickets last time we visited. One was easy to pay at Calpes' Soma? The one from Benidorm was impossible to pay, and we tried.
Reminds me very much of the minority Conservative administration in the UK doing a deal with the DUP - a fundamentalist evangelical Christian party who implacably opposed the peace process in Northern Ireland and in the past supported armed terror gangs to achieve their political objectives - for their majority in parliament.
Another great video Stu.. pity there are so many comments from people in a bad mood.. you must be doing something right if you can get them bothered enough to type..
Knowing how Spanish products and services work, the dog will be s**tshow too! Btw cudos to Malaga students come up with something usefull (sarcasm). Those geniuses should also think how to make the offices more efficient, they may save some trees. But again, efficiency does not go together with this country.
I wonder if Sanchez has looked at the long game? His agreement to bring back P’mont could make him go down in History as the political leader who led to the breakup of Spain. Not a good look for Sanchez.
Scotland is a gorgeous and can have good weather in summer
Went to Scotland in Spring weather was great. But last time I went in summer it rained? The dam weather just does what it wants!
Hi I really enjoy your News Updates. I watch a lot of Spain videos and I am considering relocating. I am Muslim and want to know the feel of environment. Meaning is there a lot of visible Muslim women with the head scarf that live there, not just tourist. Also if there are local Masjids and Islamic schools. These factors are important to me. Thank you if anyone else can comment. 😊
Don’t expect to receive an honest answer.
There are Muslim women with the scarf everywhere. In the years of my granma there were Catholic women wit the scarf on everywhere too. There are one or two big mosques in big cities and humble small ones in small cities. I have no idea about madrasahs or any kind of Islamic school. If there is any, it has to be private, as the Catholic schools. There are Muslims in Spain by their millions and perhaps half of them are Spanish. 90% are "moros", which mean arab from the West, as Morocco, Maghreb.
Don't go to nasty old france, then
Best to stay where you are. There are enough Muslims in Europe as it is.
@@juliansimms7031 Burkas already seen in my small town. Burkas!
God or whoever help.Catalonia! Hopefully things will remain as peaceful as now and Junts goes down the drain as in the last Catalan elections!
I wish I knew the rules for pronunciation. Barthelona or Barsellona???? Jerezzzz or Jereth?? I try to follow the newsreaders on Cuatro TV but the Spanish people in the hotel have a different pronunciation. 😮 Help!!!!
Both are fine. S or C-Z. It's like the rotic R dividing English by the two same languages.
In spanish: bar-the-lo-na
In catalan: bar-sa-lo-na
Thank you.
Did not know that basically another language is spoken in Valencia an hour away. Can be very confusing ......
Hi there, I am sometimes puzzled by the Catalan street signs. All my Castilian Spanish study doesn't help me. Still warmer than here in the UK thank heavens. 😊 @@blondebrandy

Stu... Your own headlines are slagging yourself off.... LOL... Tony cuenca
I assumed you were of Scottish descent. I know my gene pool! (I’ll also guess that, like my own, your hair was more reddish when you were younger?)
Perth was founded by scottish..........scottish sailors settled down in western ausssie
your whistle as you speak is very anoing ..or adjust the sound of your mic!,,,
What a great Guy a Robin Hood of Spain Coming riding in to Free Catalonia , That is what we need in Scotland Maybe not a Robin Hood but a Robert the Bruce to free Scotland from Westminister. YES now we are talking FREEDOM
Not so sure Puidgmont is a Robin Hood, qfter his efforts in 2017 all the money left the region so he hqs done more to hqrm Cqtqlan independence than he has to pursue it.
He sounds like a bit of a reverse Robin Hood to me!
Scotland is welcome to another referendum.
Thanks Stu for the information 👍👏
@@nickvickers3486 The same was Jordi Puyol, and he nicked a lot of money. But the still call him Molt Honrable or Most Honarable. They are all Zelenski,s. They nick your wallet with white gloves. Pokiemon know what it is,using public money for own profit and use. Like 99% of the local, provincial and national political figures. But he, that is the Arabic inheritence of spain.
@@susanaescriba977 replying in Catalan is not helpful, it isn't a standard language as I found out the hard way. Support for independence is part of the culture, but unrealistic when the autonomous region is so dependent on the EU.
