I learned of a way to power the Traxxas Bronco light kit, using a non-Traxxas ESC and motor combo. Traxxas part number 7826. The package doesn't say TRA7826 it just has the 7826 number on it.
Where can I find this part I need two of them. My best friend is legally blind and we trail at night because of work. We need the lights to keep track of the cars. Any kind of a lead would be appreciated!
Or just use a 2s/3s xh balance plug to 2 pin jst adaptor to directly hook up the light module to battery? That light module just draws battery voltage from stock esc anyway.
Not everyone has the extra money. Trying to help the budget builders out there, not the ones who just throw the most expensive pieces on because it's easier.
Thank you been trying to figure this out before change my motor and esc
You are very welcome! Happy I could help!👍

I have the part number listed in the description. I think I found it on eBay. Hope this helps and good luck!!
Couldn't you just solder a 2 pin jst connector to your esc and plug it into the stock traxxas power module?

yes 100%
this works too.
How can I do this with a maxx light kit to a non traxxas esc?
I don't know. I'm out of the RC game.
Does work also ob 3s?
It shouldn't be a problem. I ran 3S.
The Traxxas light kit uses up too much power from the battery. Better to just use a separate Lipo battery with a jst plug.
Not everyone has a small/separate lipo they can use.
Anyone can buy one.
