- I see and get so many questions on how to use the Traxxas pro scale light without the factory traxxas ESC!! Well here it is! I talk all about it! I just received my Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300KV so figured it was perfect time to explain how to make this work!!! Also installed the traxxas Rollbar for the K10

Just installed the pro scale lights and rock lights and was nervous I couldn’t use them if I upgraded the motor. Thanks for the video! I’ll be doing this eventually
If you have a 3d printer or a friend with one. There's an STL file you can get for a switch mount for the fusion switch that screws into your factory TRX-4 ESC holes. Super clean install and the switch fits in like a glove. No tape or adhesive needed.
hi m8 i did exactly the same with the fusion pro 2300kv and the lights work but i cant switch on hig and low beams, only the halo lights rear and brake and reverse and blinkers work. even have the maxx link cable and the app but even in the app it doesnt work, the app shows all functions but when i switch them they do nothing 🙂
That have a built in BEC? I have one installed currently, if it does, I'll have to remove the old one?
Are your turn signal working
I have basically the same setup (hobbywing, maxx link cable, power directly tapped from the 3s LiPo), but after a minute or so all the functions of the lights stop working. Lights just stay on. No turn signals, no brake or reverse lights. If I turn off the ESC and turn on, everything works fine for a while and then stops again after a minute or so. Seems like there is some disturbance in the communication between receiver and the light module. It also stops responding in the app on my phone. Any ideas?
What light kit are you using ? Tra8035 or tra8035r ?
Howdy and Great Vid, What did you use for the boxliner? and is there a reason you did not just piggy bach the L.E.D harness to the 3070x Traxxas connector .
Would i need the wireless module traxxas part number 6511, in order to get the lights to work this way utilizing the max link cable?
will this keep it waterproof with all the soldering???
If anyone is worried about running direct battery, this is from the manual for the light kit, referring to the JST plug off of the kit’s power module: “to Traxxas XL-5 HV Electronic
Motor leads are so turn signals don’t turn ON unless motor not turning. Receiver cable runs brake lights and reverse lights.

Will this same method work on the traxxas UDR light kit for a non traxxas esc?
where do the rock lights plug in?
When running this setup do all the light features work without the app?
