How to install and wire Rock Lights on the Traxxas TRX4

- We finally received the rock lights for the 2021 Bronco TRX4 and we are going to get them installed. We will show you 4 different ways to connect the power to these rock lights, two of which will allow you to control them from your Traxxas Link app.

Great video, thx! So I'm assuming the light output is lower b/c it's being "filtered" through the lighting power module vs. receiver, right? That's a bummer b/c the rock lights are noticeably dimmer using the app, even on high. Makes me rethink buying the rock lights from Traxxas since aftermarket is cheaper and I think I'll end up plugging them directly into my receiver (or Aux 3 port) and have the rock lights on all the time. But the receiver seems to give full power from the rock lights since it's more of a direct connection.
Yes, they are dimmer because of the preset output level of the lighting power module. Depending on the body you have, there is still quite a bit of value in the Traxxas lighting module, especially on the 2021 Bronco body. This allows the full functionality of recerse lights, turn signals, high and low beams, etc. You can still connect the rock lights directly to the receiver even if you have the lighting power module as shown in the video.
Please god can anyone answer this question for me: are the headlights SUPPOSED to dim slightly (~20%) when the brake lights come on with the 21 bronco light kit from traxxas? I have a hw1080 setup but I swapped back to my xl-5 to test and it’s still happening? I’ve cleaned my connections before so I doubt it’s that? It’s getting proper 3s power? Is it just supposed to be like this?
Hi! I read your message now. Yes, in my trx4 bronco 2021 when i brake, the front light go down in power. Whene the brake light turno of, the front light turn back at 100% dimmer.
When I connect the battery the halos come on before I even turn on the truck on is this normal
Yes, this is normal, those are the daytime running lights
Why do they say plug into 7 can you control 7 with your phone?
No you cannot, you can only control the two channels shown in the video from your phone
