Small bit of extra information: I bought the standalone Pro Scale Lighting Kit (and the correct installation kit for my body) and the standalone Pro Scale Lighting Kit came with the receiver communications cable. FWIW; the problem that the uploader has seems to only exist on the 2020 Bronco, not on any of the other kits.
I'm super pissed off about the light kit. I installed everything per the instructions and soon as I plugged in my battery the link cable blue wire glowed and burned out my receiver. I don't know what went wrong. Now I'm afraid to replace it and try again
Would the light kit still function (cycle theough the high/low beam, DRL and hazard function) if you eliminated the Maxx Link cable all together and didn’t replace it with the receiver communication cable? I know you won’t get reverse lights and turn signals for sure but I’m not too worried about that.
yes that's pretty much the way i have mine setup we have all of the things work , but the reverse lights , sometimes they work sometimes not ,but all the other functions works
@@Esteb858 in the description i have to put the wire in ch.1 on the reciver(Traxxas reciver has 2x Ch.1) Bit the Spektrum reciver has only one ch1 port. Do you know what i mean
@@Crawler-Cars so there are 2 sets of connectors, 1 has 3 wires to it that I plugged into any extra channel i had on the receiver then the other one with just 1 single blue wire correct, you can leave that unplugged cause it’s for the light module to know when you’re turning the wheel for turn signals. If that’s important to you then you’ll need to splice it into your steering servo connector

I like Traxxas products but they are the Apple of RC. They like their proprietary components.

I run a hobbywing fusion 2in1 1200kv and am looking for an answer as well.
Fab body work man. Great video.

@@Crawler-Cars you will need to get the receiver communications cable directly from Traxxas since it’s not sold separately.

How much voltage are you running from the mamba esc?
Where did you get the roll cage from, is it 3D printed?
Roll cage is from an Axial 10.3 jlu
