Who Should Buy the Lupe Vacuum?
The Lupe is designed to be powerful, usable, and easy to maintain over the long run. Those are traits many consumers look for, but can be incredibly difficult to find.
I would recommend the Lupe if you’re looking for the following features in a cordless vacuum:
Excellent Cleaning Performance: Our test data speaks for itself, the Lupe removed 97.3% of all debris we tested against (by weight). It was virtually flawless on hardwoods and fantastic on both low and high pile carpets.
A long-lasting unit: With quality parts and a design that encourages replacing individual parts as needed instead of the entire vacuum, the Lupe can be attractive to buyers looking for a vacuum that can last for many years.
Cordless Lift Away Design: We’ve seen many corded upright vacuums offer a lift away canister, which in theory is beneficial. However, those vacuums are still corded. The benefits of a lift out canister that is also cordless cannot be understated. That design feature of the Lupe really takes it to the next level, allowing for highly portable cleaning on stairs, cars, furniture, and other hard to clean areas.
XL dust bin capacity: The Lupe has a dust bin capacity of 1 liter which is among the largest for this class of cordless vacuum.

I like your reviews because of your tests. They are objective and I like the design I would love to own this!
Thank you!
Nice video as always
Thanks!
Buscemi, thought you looked like someone from the movies, glad I found it in the comments, great review
Thanks!
This is my vacuum and I love it!
Nice! It really is a nifty machine. I've got one of these in my home as well that we use fairly regularly.
I think for someone who's just got out of bed your done a good review
Lol...the burn compliment, those are rare.
@@ModernCastle sorry I didn't mean to offend you I genuinely thought you just got out of bed
@@googlefriend7685 oh, not at all. My hair does have that natural "just out of bed look" :)
Thank you for your review. I noticed you went from carpet to the wood floors, so you don't have to take brush feature off when vacuuming hardwoods?
You don't have to. Most hardwoods are sturdy enough that it's a non-issue.
Great clear review - Thanks. In the UK not actually launched until next month (March 22) However order placed a month ago. Love the ethos about replaceable parts. The actual vacuum is more powerful than most due to the revolutionary front roller sealing the vac are. I have sent too many 3-4-year-old vacs to the refuse tip as parts were not available. Well done Lupe!
It's not launched in the UK? Are you sure?
We got this vacuum when it first launched in the UK around 18 months ago.
It was definitely launched already although I do see they’re accepting pre orders again. It must be a stock issue as it was 100% released already in uk and Ireland
@@TheKarenohara Ah, that makes sense
@@ModernCastle I actually just emailed today. They have a batch due so any orders placed before 6th March will get their delivery by mid March. Any orders after that will be delivered in May.
@@TheKarenohara Oh nice, well good timing then
I'm super interested in this vacuum. What I dislike is the second brush role that can get easily tangled. I'm searching for a way to build some kind of hair combs for anti tangle. Are there any ideas if I can somehow modify the vacuum head? Would appreciate any suggestions?
Unfortunately, I'm not really sure how you would go about doing that.
I have just received the Lupe and tried it, disappointed. The trash bin lid is hard to open. Have to press the latch release and use the other hand to manually flip open the lid. Also dog fur is stuck in the middle of the long flat rectangular bin. Had to use a stick to pull out the fur.
@PsyTruthSeeker Their response is repeating the instruction and told me to remove the cyclone part, which I've already done that. The lid never got easier to open. I had bought another one for my brother and his in-law and they don't have dog fur but encountered the same issues with opening lid with two hand and debris stuck in the middle of the canister. When you have the lid and the cyclone open trying to dump the debris, now dusts and coming out from both ends. We both returned our vacuum and cost $125 each to ship back from USA to UK.
Either Buscemi or the General form Star Wars your bloody famous man 👨 congrats
Lol, indeed. Thanks!
Is it difficult to push on carpet due to the strong suction as some reviewers said?
Not in my experience. Suction is high, but not so high as to create problems.
BUSCEMI. The feet on the canister should slide or fold out so they don't look like a design afterthought. Also, the tube doesn't fit into the tube slot?! Go home tube! Tubes are gross, they should go behind the canister anyway, but if they're going to be visible they should at least tuck tightly into a slot. Super great vac though, great design principles. I'm hoping v2.0 gets some aesthetic love, especially considering the price.
How does it hold up to commercial corded models used in the hospitality industry?
Commercial corded models are nothing special. The ones I've tested in the past aren't the types of vacuums you'd actually want in your home.
They are basic, but designed for long-term use with easily (and cheaply) replacement parts. That's it.
I'm sure the ex Dyson guys were just so tired of making overpriced crap that breaks within 3 years.
Does it have a power portable brush a cessory?
Yes
Can you use this on laminate flooring?
In most cases, yes, it'll be perfectly fine. If you're worried double check with the laminate manufacturer.
Hmmm. You look like Hux, but sound kinda like Buscemi.
Lol - I'll take it
Are you going to review the Bissell IconPet Robot Vacuum? It has 7000 PA!
I'll add it to our list!
I heard its not very good. No smart navigation, poor edge cleaning, high price (compared to other robot vacuums with more features)
How is it poor
It has a d shape
@@dianar2280 Because it doesn’t have a side brush.
Is it a mop too or no?! I just cannot figure it out ?!
Should i have a vacuum robot and the cordless vacuum or one of them?! Can you help?!
I want a vacuum and a mop at the same time as i don’t like rugs so mop is an essential to me
It is just a vacuum, no mopping function.
I personally think a robot + a cordless is the way to go. That's the setup I use in my home. Getting a robot vacuum with a mop + vacuum is nice.
moderncastle.com/robot-vacuums/ - check out our review of the Roborock S7+ and Narwal T10. Good vacuum / mop combos.
@@ModernCastle so you have both in your house?!! Don’t you think it kinda buying two vacuums but with a different looks with a little difference between them?! Am trying to figure out the best ?!
The roborock s7 is one of the brands that i am thinking of
@@suzansh4582 There's a big difference between the Roborock S7+ and Narwal T10. Roborock is a vacuum first, mop second. Narwal is a mop first, vacuum second...however, the vacuum on the Narwal is honestly just bad. So I never use it for vacuum and only use it as a mop.
While the S7 has the mop attachment, I end up using the Narwal as a dedicated mop and the S7 as a dedicated vacuum...that way both vacuums just do what they do best.
@@ModernCastle oh thank you so much for the clarification.. obviously it will cost me a lot as i must buy both
Thank you so much for your time
@@suzansh4582 You're welcome!
So cordless vacuum review left without battery life time?
Yeah...that's my oversight. Sorry about that. We should have tested that.
$800 USD it better be good.
Hux with the charm of buscimi :P
Lol - I'll take it :)
Hi I’m holding for General Hux... ok I’ll hold
Today is the END of the Republic!
you have the face of hux and the teeth of buscemi (if he had some work done but not all the work necessary for perfection).
oof...
There is a guy on here channel name The Vac Mat he’s used parts of your video and didn’t even credit you.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I really appreciate it.
@@ModernCastle no problem, I recognised your socks.
@@googlefriend7685 and my Modern Castle shirt! The guy could have picked a better clip if he wanted to steal our video.
your the cross between them both lmao
I'll take it
This cordless seems to do everything well but pick up long hair without getting tangled. That's the one thing that's the most important to me owning a very long haired pekingese. Until they fix that problem I'm going to have to pass.
I've read that they're working on an anti hair tangle roll
Definitely Buscemi
How do you do fellow kids?
Sustainability eh?
Do they last longer than a Dyson? Those things are fragile and go downhill after a few years.
It is designed to be long lasting. All parts are available to purchase and easy replacement so it can serve you for years. Check out their website!
If you had a beard you would look like my friend Austin
He sounds like an amazing guy
Buscemi
How do you do fellow CZcamsr?
😂 Huxcemi
Lol...
$779 and $899 is hardly “easy on your wallet”. Nice review though.
Yikes...is the price that high now? When we initially did this it was closer to $600 if my memory is right. Still expensive, but not nearly $900.
@@ModernCastle The $900 Lupe has two batteries, but yeah not cheap. Dyson V15 Detect is $749 and the Dyson Outsize Absolute+ $899 so I guess it's inline with it's competition? Although it's a corded upright my benchmark is still the Sebo Felix $699, as in I could pay less for a Sebo Felix or this.
@@kc5077 Yeah, I wouldn't be looking to replace that Sebo either. I imagine it's a power house.
@@ModernCastle I paid $599 plus tax just a few days ago
@@NiNitosix That's not too bad.
Ditch the socks
This vacuum while getting great reviews and the concept of ungradabilty being great, the darn thing is ugly, it looks like a Starwars vacuum belonging to the empire. If you're going to pull this off your going to have to at least add some color to the dang thing and add anti hair wrap to it. I've considered based on review but at the end of the day, I don't want a Starwars imperial trooper vacuum. Even if it means buying new vacuums every couple years.
