    Seach CZcams for "Dyson V10 Reliability : Battery failure at 18 months." This is the single most important video you must watch as a dyson owner. Basically the video says that you should not charge the vacuum immediately after your usage session, instead wait for the vacuum to cool down for 30 to 45 minutes, then charge it. The video goes into how to set up a timer to automate this process.

      Because people are using them for their entire home and replacing their traditional mains powered cleaners for the battery powered versions. It’s just not good enough. They are okay for quick clean ups but not for a proper clean, you need a traditional mains vac for that.

    It kind of depends on how much you want to spend on a Vacuum. Dyson Vacuums are good, but they are so damn expensive. Also depends on what cleaning jobs you need done. I have no pets and only 2 carpeted floors, So my Shark APEX does a great job for what I need and would rather have corded than cordless. I dont need a Vacuum that can suck up ping pong balls through a keyhole. Again it is up to the individuals needs on which is right for them.

    Actually, the pick up performance is determined by a number of factors, including the amount of agitation! Suction or just Air Watts alone does not clean without rotating brushes. What I dislike about this video is that they are using the Dyson in Max mode! Dyson do not recommend using their machines in Max mode as it does not do the battery any good and it degrades the battery over time! The Dyson gives only 100 Air Watts when on Max for 6 minutes and only a very low Air Watts on the regular mode. The Shark requires so much maintenance and is messy to maintain. These are ideal to be on the gadget show as they are just that.

      Well if dyson didn’t recommend using it in ‘max mode’ then why did they give it a ‘max mode’ button. I have a dyson and a ‘max mode’ never needed to use it yet in 2 years. But it’s still there to use. Bit like giving a car 7 gears but saying only use 6… Max mode is for a ‘burst of power’ when needed. It’s not for continues use. Obviously. Where’s as on a car 7th gear is great for motorway cruising 😂

  • @DredgeTom
    @DredgeTom Před 2 lety

    Of course not the v7 is not a replacement for a mains powered vacuum. It’s an addition between weekly deep cleans. If you put the test up against a dyson that was meant to replace a mains powered vacuum being the V10 - V11 or V15 you would see that it not only out performs the shark by a long way but has all the added benefits of a cordless. On top of that the sharks filtration system is a hepa filter and a sponge… verse the Dylan’s that is a filter that filters down to 0.3 microns from the dirty and dusty floors you’re vacuuming. The filtration is a massive part to consider. You literally put the most under powered, and not a replacement for a corded vacuum, dyson against a mains powered vacuum. Not quite a fair test, also as I use both of these vacuums almost daily the bun capacity’s are much more different then shown. You are meant to slightly exceed the max fill line on a dyson (being about 5-10mm over), where as you didn’t even reach the max fill line on the V7.
