@@paulschmehl2124 Thank you for the kind words. No, I didn't dispute it. I've heard that if the dispute fails, it always ends with a copyright strike. Since they didn't give me a strike but only demonetized it and blocked it in those two territories, I didn't think it was worth the risk.

Randy and I both shed tears listening to you talk about about his new song…Your kindness, your compassion, your vulnerability, your defense…Thank you!! Randy was truly VERY involved with the vocals and the production, along with Warner Music, Kyle Lehning, James Dupre, session artists from several of Randy’s albums, and a unique team. Randy’s vocal stems from 42 of his songs were used to assist AI in creating the song…so it really is Randy’s vocal, hung on the clothesline of James Dupre singing the song in studio for timing and tempo. It was a beautiful process. I have not seen him so engaged and excited about the music since the stroke-we have been so blessed by those that have appreciated it and understand that we all use AI daily, in today’s world-it doesn’t have to be a curse. We loved your response…many thanks!
I am so pleased that you and Randy liked it. I've been a fan of his for decades. Forever and Ever is our all time favorite. I can't tell you how many times I've sung it along with Randy in the car while traveling.
Hearing him sing again was a joyful occasion. I hope he is able to write and perform more songs in the future.

The way I see it it's no different than someone who's disabled getting a prosthesis to get some of what they lost back. This is what he wanted to do and he was a huge part of it so to me in this case it is no different than a prosthesis or something to give someone who's disabled something back. This has Randy's heart and soul behind it and in it and that makes it a Randy Travis Song.

I heard this song for the first time today as well. Many people are dismissing it and against it because it was done using AI. I think it's just wonderful. It's not like someone out there was trying to put out something fake. This was put together with, by, and for Randy and his family and with his full blessing. More power to him! Enjoyed your reaction. The lyrics to this one hit me hard, though. I lost my husband of 26 years seven months ago.

It is Randy. His heart, his soul. And, while it brings me to tears to see and hear this, it is also a triumph. That Randy's voice is back. The soul never left, he just needed the voice. And I don't care how it happened, he found it again.

@@kenscott993they use someones baseline for the vocals. The AI is used to recreate Randy’s Voice using many of gis previous works. The vocals that the actual singer isn’t really used other than to give the AI program to model is recreation of Randys voice to.

I am so grateful to hear Randy's voice again. One of the most unique and gifted singers to ever touch country music. While I am not a fan of AI, I will give credit where credit is due here.

Look at that man’s smile! He is so happy that his songs that he wrote can still be shared because of AI. AI or not, it’s still someone who wrote a song from their heart and finding a way to be able to share it with the world. Randy Travis was my favorite singer growing up in the 80s I'm sorry but, if someone didn't say it was AI nobody would have known. It caught every essence of Randy's voice and inflections. That deep base in his voice and the sensitivity that binds you to every word was an absolute masterclass. Thank you for this post. I have listened to this song probably a hundred times and this for all of it's purpose is Randy Travis.
Randy is a gift. The singing on this track is absolutely Randy’s voice .. the use of the surrogate voice is to fill in gaps but the tracks are made up of all Randy’s tracks from all his songs . I just think it’s amazing ! This I agree is AI at its best . Let’s hope no one takes advantage of what AI can do . But bringing him back even if it’s just one single is a gift to all of us !

Randy was in the studio for the whole process and gave his permission his blessing and his input so I think your wife doesn’t get the fact that this is giving him the chance to be a part of the recording process again when he never thought he would be able to. His longtime steel guitar player is a friend of mine and put it best, if it makes my friend happy which it does, I’m all for it.

This is Randy! I love it and he has more songs coming out. I love hearing him again. Made me cry listening to it. What a blessing for Randy and for us.💜 I get goose bumps every time I listen to it. I have listened to it several times today and I subscribed to Randy's CZcams channel. It was wonderful to see Randy in a recording studio and laughing and smiling.
Don't get too excited. According to the article that I read, they are working on a second one but it's not working as well as this one. It WAS a huge pleasure to hear his voice again. I hope we can have more.
I think this is wonderful! I read that they took Randy's voice from 40 songs, and simply 'overlaid' his voice onto another singer who could 'form' the song in the right context. This ''is'' Randy's voice from all the years of him singing...put into one song. I makes me teary-eyed listening, and I'm all onboard since Randy is involved himself with the song....a wonderful option for him to still make music and share with us all.
In my opinion this is definitely Randy and he is showing how AI should be used in the music industry. Randy was part of the whole process, he wanted to do this and his heart and soul was all throughout this song and process.

No problem with this because it's trained on his actual voice and it's him helping guide the project. He has no other choice because of the stroke, and we all know he'd be fully capable of singing like this if it hadn't happened. He has receipts to show his ability so this is AI just using that because he no longer can.

I’ve loved Randy Travis since his first release. I’ve missed him having new music. I think since he was involved and approved this, it’s okay. These are his vocals, just altered. Music has been using altering technology for decades. I had tears in my eyes the first time I heard his voice, and I’ve listened to this song over and over. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’m glad he had this available.

Thank you for your service, my dad also fought in Vietnam in the Army. Do I think this is Randy Travis in my heart & mind yes. His producer put hours of Randy’s vocals into the machine, Randy chose the song, the singer to lay down the tracks, Randy was there throughout the process saying yes or no he is just expressing himself through a blessing to him AI. I find nothing wrong with this he is participating in the process. If this were a deceased artist like Elvis just running his vocals through songs for a cash grab yes I’d have an issue with that. I’ve sat through hours of listening to fellow singers being ran through pitch correctors & cutting & pasting vocals because they can’t sing so what’s the difference between their nonsense & Randy Travis well he can sing & they need a machine.
Look, it IS Randy. It's Randy from 1986. All that was provided by someone else was just a guidance baseline track. Think of a coloring book page. It is just a blank colorless outline. Well, they taught the computer how Randy would have colored it and the very powerful computer colored it for him. Also, Randy approved it and so did his family. As far as I am concerned, it is him and I want more. I have the same program on my PC.

thank you for your service. my dad was a wwII vet who almost lost his feet to frostbite in Belgium. he was in 5 different battles in 1st infantry out of Ft Benning. He served in England ,N. Africa, Sicily,France and Germany near the end. This song hits me hard. I'm the same age as Randy (64) and my wife and I were great fans also. My kids were raised up on his music. This song hits me hard because I lost my wife after 42 yrs and she was my one and only. And I have no problem with it being AI because it is Randy's voice just like an echo from the past for an old friend. As long as his family and he can benefit from it. I'm good with it. And like his music and my Donna there ain't no more where that came from.
