- Hello my little Apples! Today I take you through a full day of eating on a typical day during my Yoga Teacher Training here in Rishikesh, India. It's totally doable as a vegan and you'll find it's easier than you think :) We had some good mangoes, went shopping in the rain, and had an amazing closing ceremony for the last day!

So jealous of all the mangoes
I liked the tiny part where you talked about the science behind postures/ how some people can do some postures and others can’t in your last video! You should make a video from all your notes to reference later and share your knowledge with us! ♥️

Congratulations little Cactus Flower! ♡♡♡
Hey Amanda!!! Soooo proud of you! Congrats!!!!!! Also, I started following you with your amenorrhea videos.... if you could turn back time would you still have quit exercise and how long did you quit. I am trying but I’ve held back soooo long, just trying to change habits. I’d love some feedback
🧘♀️ CONGRATULATIONS 🎊🎈🌸🌸
Yayyyy I love your videos Amanda❤️
This was nice to watch
I'm seriously considering doing my ytt at Rishikesh vinyasa yoga school! I'm vegan too so this video was super informative, thanks!
love your vids like as always..
what about the phytic acid in seeds, they do contain good amount of calcium but also phytic acid.. i'm always annoyed with this fact while having seeds..
It's great that you allowed yourself to be "unkept" during your time in India. For me, it's refreshing when I can go daysss w/o shaving.
I just completed my teacher training at wise living academy in Thailand which was an all vegan ashram!!! Xxx
I'm so jealous! Hope that in few years I'll do the same. Greetings from Italy 😚😚
Congrats
Hey Amanda! I'm going to RVYS in May to do my 200hr YTT I was just wondering if you have any advice on 1st building vs 2nd building? Thank you so much for making these videos they were so useful in helping me pick a school :)

Rock that pottu(bindi)!
How sad is that diet. But congratulations on being certified as a yoga teacher. 💖
My sister did her YTT in Rishikesh this past year, and her seemed so ghetto tbh- poorly orchestrated. But when she was sharing her stories and pictures, she told me women aren't allowed to show their bare shoulders, and people would stare at her and men would spit near/on her- crazy. I noticed you wore a tank top and was wondering your experience with the culture of their behaviour and lifestyle walking in the city
Whoa, lived in India for 15 years but I've literally never heard of stuff like this. People just tend to mind their own business when it comes to clothes. The staring thing is pretty harmless. Indians don't really mind eye contact but it tends to freak people from the West out but it's just a cultural difference. "allowed" is a strong word. Women just don't wear open shouldered clothing in the more rural areas like Rishikesh because Indian clothing doesn't bare that part. Also, skin exposure increases your chance of getting melanoma so people just don't go there.
It's really annoying to see people from outside of India just assuming that women don't have agency there but bear in mind that the messaging is coming from a white man's saviour perspective. Indian women exercise their right to choose the way they live just like any other woman from any other country and people tend to jump to conclusions just because the culture is different and they don't understand the cultural perspective behind their choices. These problems really come to light in India more than in any other country ive been to because India is so strongly unique and self-assured. East Asia tends to mimic western culture and the Mideast leans towards fundamentalism but India is authentically liberal in its own way. It takes a long time to understand that because we are so enveloped in a singular, Eurocentric, Abrahamic, idea of what is "progressive".
I have a keto question - I’m doing the vegan keto and really enjoy your vids. My neighbor is doing regular keto with animal products and she says her hair is falling out (wtf?!?!) Is this a thing? Will it happen with vegan keto???
It can if you don't feed yourself the proper nutrients you need!
Would you recommend going there for a YTT during summer season?
YES
Thank you so much for replying!
its definitely hot, and definitely crowded in rishikesh but i think the cluttered chaos makes it unique. the cooler seasons are less ideal (at least in my opinion) just because the buildings don't hold in heat so you're basically cold everywhere haha. I went in july and it was an amazing experience, but then again i LOVE the heat and detest the cold. it's all personal preference but whenever you go make sure you're prepared!! not like i was during my last trip (in my vlogs )
Just started watching, i know this is gonna be interesting 😁🔥🔥👏
I hope the whole thing was!
how many "hour" teaching did you do???:D you probably said it before and i missed it >.
200 :)
Congrats girl!!!
thank you!!
Will you be making yoga videos?
Lol the golden question!! Eventually when I am ready!
Would you please tell me what are some good yoga videos on CZcams I want to do yoga at home and congrats on your yoga teaching

CONGRATS AMANDA 😀👌JIMMY3966
Yes, make a video about dairy. I really want to see the evidence behind your claim, that dairy leaks calcium from bones. That myth has been debunked many times. Its an old theory, because higher amounts of calcium was measured in urine, when consuming acidic diets. So the scientist thought, that the acid was counteracted by taking calcium from the bones. But when this theory was put to the test, it was really just calcium from the diet, not the bones.
Now yes, there is a correlation between countries with high dairy consumption and those countries having more osteoporosis. But it is just a correlation. Like you know, a lot of things is important for bonehealth: vitamin D, sunlight, exercise, smoking and much more. The countries with the highest dairy consumption, also lacks in those other factors. Like Denmark; here we drink A LOT of dairy, but we also do not get a lot of sunlight and vitamin D deficiency is VERY common up here in the north. Also we are very sedentary. All these things matter.
Also just because a country has low instances of osteoporosis, doesnt mean they dont have other problems with bonehealth. They often have softer bones, which causes other problems. Osteoporosis is not the only illness involving bones.
Simone we get it, you like milk

Chloe Austin i dont drink milk, im vegan.
