This video captures following sights in Vienna that we managed to see during two days holiday excursion:
-Saint Charles Church,
-Saint Stephen’s Cathedral and its South Tower, -which is accessible walking 343 stairs and offers amazing panoramic view of the city,
-Saint Peter’s Church
-Graben Street and Column of the Holy Trinity,
-Kohlmarkt Street,
-Saint Michael’s Square with Saint Michael’s Church and excavation of ancient ruins,
-Hofburg Palace and Monument of Emperor Franz I/II,
-New Palace,
-Heroes' Square with Statues of Prince Eugene and Archduke Karl,
-Outer Castle Gate,
-Maria Theresien Square with Natural History Museum, Art History Museum and Monument of Maria Theresia,
-Austrian Parliament,
-City Hall,
-Burgtheater,
-University of Vienna,
-Sigmund Freud Park,
-Votive Church,
-Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens with Neptune Fountain and Gloriette
These are just some of Viennese highlights and we still miss many of them, however that's at least a great reason to come again ☺️🙏🏻
For our two days sightseeing tour we chose hotel nearby the main train station, from where we comfotably travelled to aimed places by subway. I highly recommend once you are in Vienna do not miss the pleasure of trying traditional and famous culinary specialties such as Viennese Schnitzel or Sacher Cake with Viennese coffee. Sure, Vienna is interesting destination year-round, but during the Christmas tome, which was also the time of our visit, it's indeed magical to walk in decorated streets and taste hot punch in Christmas market.
