"I do follow you closely which is why I have the opportunity to discredit most of it" hahaha fuckinghell Simon
Ruthless! 😂😂
“Not that I’ll be listening to you anyway “.
I guarantee Jim and Simon behind the scenes talk about getting Martin riled up 😂😂
Like teenage girls aren't they.
You know this 😂😂
It's crack up but I love Keown especially few times he owns them, if he was a bit composed he would actually Roy Keane this show
Course they do, I've watched enough Talksport to know that Jim loves the fireworks Simon vs Martin (or anyone) causes as it brings in the ratings.
Why wouldn't they be though, the guy still has arsenal bed sheets
Simon wasn’t having any of Martins bs today 😂😂😂
I do like these two jibing at each other… although it feels more like Jordan doing the jibing 😂
8:18 - timestamp for when Simon gets Martin on the hook 😂🎣
Fun fact: Mikel Arteta has spent more than any other manager in Europe since he took over at Arsenal and has finished 8th in b2b seasons then bottled top 4 to Spurs then achieved the biggest PL bottlejob ever.
@@davidstephenson164he's made arsenal Spursy.
Arteta won an FA Cup with Emery's squad. Spent £640m on 25 players, has won no major trophies with HIS players. He has also not brought any academy graduate into the first team. But PR spin and glazing is mad.
Keown is so easy to wind up it's comedy gold lol
its getting to the point where I cant help wonder if hes making himself (look like he's) wound up on purpose for engagement, its so comedy
That's the only reason he has that gig. Two clever people wouldn't work. It's the classic clever/dumb double act.
@@robovac3557 Simon being the dumb one, quick to jump aboard every lame media narrative while claiming to despise media narratives. Also using words out of context every single day. Not nearly as smart as he wishes he was.

I do love watching the 2 lads poke Keown like this..🤣
"Is that a song?" Jim loving it!
I love the way Simon winds up Martin! Really knows how to get under his skin!
He’s just a typical Arsenal fan really. They’re very easy to wind up
Keown would’ve broken his leg had Simon been a player in his day 🤣
I bet Simon looks foward to Fridays more than any other day during the week knowing Martins in the studio 😭🤣
Isn't that a song 😂😂Simon schools him every time 😅😅
Super Simon, top clobber
The banter these three have is brilliant 😅
Keown trying his hardest to tow the Arsenal line.
It's toe the line
Then Simon Chelsea should win the league. They spent £1B.
They should, hence why they are a bit of a laughing stock that everyone has given up on.
Yea and they are a joke like Swarthenal.
@@dannytallmage2971 don't know what a swarthenal is dude
@@adriannicholson6043 What's leggo head mate just address whoever your talking about by the name and don't try to sound stupid

😂😂 yeah, remember when he threatened to walk out of the studio because he was called out on his bs?! Absolute weak personality
Building for how many years ??… with over £600 million spent .

Simon and Jim got invited to the premiere of Mean Girls
Arteta is better than other recent ex player managers, Gerard, Lampard, Rooney but he's up against two of the best ever in Pep and Klopp.
What’s the relevance to this comment? He’s still poorly spent money on players like Havertz when they need a striker to compete
@matthewm3869 He hasn't spent poorly tbf, most signings have turned out well and Havertz has performed okay for us. Yeah we could do with a clinical striker but our signings haven't been poor.
Let's be real haverts was a poor Signing😂
@garrysutters1835 idk man, there's talks about Zinchenko not being good enough now and also you want an "upgrade" for Jesus. So really that's a lot of wasted money.
Yes arteta is better than BAD managers, that in itself doesn't make him good.
its always funny listening to simon and jim run circles around keown
Simon does that , Jims not bright enough to , he just cheers SImon on from the sidelines like the playground bullys weedy little sidekick
@@dontbewokejim is not bright enough🤣 u must be joking.he instigates the arguments and he labs up with simon then frozes out and sit back just smirking whilst Martin is teared into shreds
Simon doesn't run circles around Keown, he just blathers on and giggles like a school child. It's embarrassing to witness. Keown often lowkey obliterates Simon's arguments (he did it several times today) but Simon just keeps talking over him and sniggering like a simpleton. It's like being back in the playground.
That just means he's manipulative , it doesnt mean he's bright.@@Woze899
Arteta is too nervous and generally emotional, that’s why he bottles it. It is evident that he doesn’t deliver on the back of the amounts spent. But he seems to have a God-like status with all Arsenal fans, for whatever reason.
Last season Arteta fielded a team against City that had Saka , Nthekia and Martinelli up front - total outlay 6 million. City played Grealish , Haaland and Mahrez up front - total outlay 180 million. Yes Jesus was injured but still no comparison. Perhaps when he has been at it a season or two more spending like Man United , Chelsea and City then Arsenal might make those 6 points up that they missed last season, right ?
I'll tell what he has "delivered" so far - a place where Arsenal go to that was totally stale and toxic a few years ago - that is now vibrant and exciting - a team that IS competing now - and not just accepting 4th place as an achievement.
I don't think he is "bottling" anything - I think he is learning from his mistakes. You need to ask yourself if 3/4 seasons ago Arsenal could attract a top top established England international ? - It's now probable that any top player in World football who wants to come to the Premier league might be tempted to come to Arsenal.....3-4 seasons ago ??.. nah no chance. Who is responsible for that then ?...I think he is doing a great job putting my club back on the map - it's not happening overnight and there has been hiccups but so far it's an upwards trajectory in most areas. Yes he is emotional and nervous - experience and good advice will help in that area. I'm going to keep faith in him - I don't want to go back to scrambling for fourth or worse and booing echoing round the Emirates.
Martin now said they’re at a rebuilding stage but at christmas they were favourites for the title race 😳
I love the rebuilding argument 😆
There's no way this is a rebuild. It's an acquisition job to strengthen last seasons success of a bottled challenge attempt
The rebuilding stage is the dumbest cop out excuse, every club is rebuilding. It’s not like a manager will one day claim their team is the finished article and needs no more improvements
3 seasons on with £500m spend n they still rebuilding that is a joke😂😂😂😂. Let see how Ange in 2.5 seasons from now....is clear now that pple r starting to compare what Ange has done in 6mths to Arteta has done in 30mths.
Buting £65M for Havertz is a fireable offense.
The smile Simon does 😂
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g give it a rest ffs
Lol did Martin just quote Chumbawamba?
Declan Rice has secured the midfield Arsenal lost six games last season they are currently losing 20% of their games this season 4/20 if they keep up that record they would have lost 8 games this season which is worse than last season meaning Rice hasn’t secured the midfield, obviously this could change based on the remaining 8 games but statistically speaking Rice hasn’t improved Arsenal
No where near the level Xhaha was at on last season's title charge
Yet West Ham replaced him with Alvarez and haven't skipped a beat and doing very well.
Also bought Kudus and Ward Prowse with the Rice sale.
West Ham got the better end of the deal so far.
The basic point to take from this is that Havertz should never have been signed. Waste of money, they should've signed a competent striker.
Brilliant broadcasting keep it up
Simon please tell me which clubs aren’t spending that kind of money in the Prem nowadays.
Good banter there. 👋
These same Arsenal players outscored any previous Arsenal side including the Invincibles.
Jordan is telling the truth havertz is the clear signal that arteta fucked up by not getting someone like Maddison who was a cheaper option than havertz
Wonderful, wonderful, radio - 3 people all talking at the same time so you can't hear a thing and just get a headache.
3:24
Simon: is that a song? 🤣 he’s petty
I can tell you this Arsenal squad isn’t good enough to win anything, too many average players. Teta gonna need another 700 million to keep telling people to trust the process
Wissa ain’t injured he scored for DR Congo a few days ago😂
I’d love to see Simons face after that 5-0 thrashing 😂😂
I agree with Simon on this one
Arsenal had one good season last year. Thats a fact. They are now over hyped.
How many good seasons can a team have in a year? 🤡
@user-tn8uu2cu8g How many goals has Allah scored lately?
We are not out of he race, we need to see how the team responds after the race.
CLASHES, SLAMS, DISAGREES: What’s the common denominator? TALKSPORT😂😂
"Fur coat with No Knickers" 😂😂😂😂...Simon got some "brilliant phrases" 😅
£65m for Havertz was pure corruption and stupidity.
8:00 Comparing Arsenal to Palace ; wow Keown sounds like a child.
I agree with MK. Ivan Toney will stay with Brentford, atleast till the summer window anyway. After that. Probably a move is on the cards.
No balance to the Arsenal team ..need some big physical players and some experienced goal scorers
The table doesnt lie City and Liverpool are more balanced and Vila is catching up and just need maybe 2 players
Spurs also look like they could do something and their recruitment is excellent
that is the only critic i have of mikel arteta...not getting a proper 9 is his biggest downfall and he will feel the wrath of arsensl fans if he doesn't get top 4 or get to the later stages of the ucl
" IS THAT A SONG "
Classic Jordan
Simon is looking more and more like brains out of The Thunderbirds!......Those glasses!!!🤣🤣🤣
Good on you Martin Arsenal through & through keep the Faith 🙏😇 yes cmon you Gunners 🙏👍😇
But when is Erik Ten Hag is a different story. Arteta path at Arsenal is very similar to Ten Hag at United.
Arteta started out his tenure with conservative tactics and the same applies to Ten Hag and as soon as Arteta got the squad and the depth that he wanted he implemented that Tiki Taka Style while Ten Hag is yet to have a Full Squad and depth to play that Style of Football.
When was Tent Peg in a title race in England? Never.
Simon loves it when Arsenal are on the ropes so Chelsea have spent well,he hated it for 3/4s of last season and loved it when the wheels came off
Simon does know a lot about failure
And ❤️ Arsenal have responded 👍 👌 👏 😀
Martin Keown is the Ty (AFT) of Talksport 😅
Hardly. Martin actually has dignity and class.
8:15 "...not that I'd be listening to you, by the way."
I love seeing Jordan slapping people down.😂
I prefer watching the likes of Eddie Hearn slap pretentious, arrogant and sanctimonious Simon down.
Is that a song... omg 😂
David Moyes has also spent £400-£500million in the last 2/3 seasons Simon. Any chance TS can have a conversation about that please.
To be fair at least he won the European FA Cup
Looks like Simon’s play thing is back in the studio
They love to wind Martin up he takes the bait every time
Keown constantly looking down ay his notes kills me 😭
This is better than standup comedy. Martin keown on a hiding to nothing cause his too passionate about his former team and slippery Simon you can't hold him down on anything. Jims the straight guy that sets it all up. Brilliant 👏 ❤
Just waiting for the ad at the start to finish, and I'm going to take a guess that Martin Keown will be on Arteta's side on this one...
Keown is a legend in his own mind
Now we know Keown expenses his porridge and coffee on his way into the studio in the morning 😂😂😂
Not just arsenal Man Utd and Chelsea also need a decent top striker/scorer
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g what’s this got to do with football??
The point of Havertz is fair if you add the money for him and Raya together that’s Ivan Toney right there
Keown only comes into the studio if he's promised 10-20 minutes on Arsenal every week.
I think its time TalkSport ended Keowns' contract. He's been found out to be lacking in very basic football terms, and I saw a poll recently where just 14% of people believed Keown was a good enough pundit to be featured on a channel, I wont mention to feature on certain top matches. Do even TalkSport know Keown is looking to find another job anyway? Someone high up must of heard something surely?
Surely Simon would need to go then as well because his knowledge of football is basic
As an Arsenal fan Arteta has more misses then hits, wasting £100m on Havertz and Raya when we needed a striker or rw was bad. Wasting so many £20ms on Jorginho, Runarson, Leno, Taverse etc also adds up. 4 years £700m spent and we STILL don’t have a good bench is bad management and just 1 trophy too
Leno?
Do leave off FFS.
hits - Odergard, Trusty, Rice, White, Jesus, Partey, Timber, Zinchenko, Ramsdale, Magalhaes, Trossard, Tomi, Turner,
Not enough time to give a verdict - Kia, jorginio, kiwior, Marquinios, Raya
misses- cedric, willian, runerson, mari, Lakonga, nuno, viera(so far)
trusty, turner and some others were hits because we sold them at a profit and we had no intention of playing them in any other way then the way we played them. the ones that need more time clearly do because its been 20 games....you cant give a final verdict after such a short time.
so actaully they have missed very rarely and when they have it was for very low fees for the most part. there is a great tifo video on percentage of players that get signed that become a success and its very small...its around 50 percent too 40 percent. so yes...a.ctually arteta and arsenal are OVERPERFORMING their signings lmao.
@@Alex-vf6qihow is Timber a hit? Played 40 seconds of football 😂😂
591,148,419.79 Pound sterling isn't 700 million is it, absolute melt, I can deduct outgoings if you'd like? To compete with man city and get us out of the hole we was in is pretty good going in anyone's book
It must test your patience, Simon, to deal with this

The phrase 'vacuous and uninformed' springs wildly to mind.
If you're talking about Martin, he has more dignity and class in his little finger than both the sniggering schoolboys have put together.
@@FreshAlchemy That may be but someone should still stand him up to some proper scrutiny.
Armando Broja would be a great backup option to Ivan Toney. younger & cheaper & Chelsea have publicly said they are open to selling
Why make a bad habit of picking up Chelsea scraps. 🤷♂️
@@Iron-Bridge I get what your saying but he’s the complete other side of a David Luiz, Willian, Jorginho. He’s young & didn’t make his name at Chelsea. He made his name at Southampton. Chelsea just haven’t given him a chance

😂😂
I'd love to hear Martin characterize the ARS performance @LIV in the league before Christmas .... before he bigs up their FA Cup performance against a depleted LIV.
And ... ARS should by all rights be at least 4 points further back of the leaders at this moment.
It's quite obvious that Arteta bottled his use of half his funds this part window. He didn't need a 2nd keeper ( Raya ) nor another playmaking mid \ 10 type fwd he doesn't score regularly ( Havertz ). that was 125M+ spent to get nothing additional, perhaps to get worse.
Has Martin borrowed Simon's Das Boot sweater?
Simon loves an argument with Keown 😂
Is this about a 4 game run? I can only imagine it must be transfer season and there's not enough being spent 😂
Im a Charlton fan so impartial but Arsenal are a fav topic on Talksport for creating a time to go after them, constantly, just like AJ. Agenda
The problem with the "you spent £200m arguement" is that all the big dogs did too!
Arteta is a victim of running City close. Realistically last season they were out of cups early and were playing a second team in Europe. They're not good enough in midfield or up top to win the league. They need a 3rd CM and a striker, then they'd be close
To be fair on Simon, this time last year, Partey was being compared to Rodri and Casemiro as the best CDM in the league… to this extent…. One could argue that Declan hasn’t improved arsenal… but they’re in a similar position as last season at this point…
Partey............wasn't !!!
Fun fact: Mikel Arteta has spent more than any other manager in Europe since he took over at Arsenal and has finished 8th in b2b seasons then bottled top 4 to Spurs then achieved the biggest PL bottlejob ever.
Lazy analysis. He came half way through the season in that first season and emery left them bottom half of the table. No1 seems to remember. 2nd season was a poor season granted. Next season, nobody expected arsenal to get top 4 , it was even a surprise considering the start they had. Next season Arsenal are challenging for the title. Was it a bottle job in regard to the title? 100%, they should have won it. Arteta is a new manager 4 years into his career, battling against some of the best in the business and doing a decent job. A couple of years ago, you all were laughing at Arsenal, they were complete banter, now they are title contenders. Overall considering where they were, he’s done a decent job.
Just to clarify, Martin, Villa haven't "fallen off a cliff" at all!
Since being beaten by Forest on 5th November, they've only lost once, to Man Utd away with that arguably anomalous 3-2 turnaround. 3 draws, which weren't ideal, though the Bournemouth one was against a very, very strong team in the best form at the time.
Arsenal, on the other hand, since that date have lost three, including against a Villa that have "fallen off a cliff" and a 2-0 drubbing at the hands of West Ham.
Even let's just take the last three games if you're implying recent fixtures. Villa W1 D1 L1. Arsenal W0 D1 L2. 4 points to 1. That's not even considering that Villa should have had a stonewall penalty for the Tarkowski horror tackle on Diaby, seconds after a softer but arguabe penalty shout against Mykolenko. Still 4 points against 1, last 3 games.
FACTS!
You should try listening properly, because the whole premise of your comment is wrong
@@monkeytennis8861 enlighten me then...?
Fur coat with no Knickers 😂😂😂
Too bloody good
Really? Yeah I've only heard Simon say that about 12,000 times. It got old long ago.
Can't we listen to Martin Keown without Jorden interrupting him all the time and destroying the conversation? People want to hear Martin's opinions, not simon Jordens! And ignore all these other jokers. Because they're not Arsenal fans and are only here to troll. I'd like to troll their teams but they probably arent worth listening too anyway.
Not an Arsenal fan but from what I saw (though limited action) Jurrien Timber was a difference maker. Let’s see what the look like with a healthy Timber
His performances are a bit wooden though.
Also arteta trying to get something out of Gabriel Jesus which Guardiola wasn't able to do, Zinchenko is also another case when he get exposed sometimes, arteta has not done himself a favour by signing city and chelsea players
Martin had the last laugh with the result 😂
Viera £38m
Rice £100m
Timber £40m
Havertz £70m
Raya £40m
What a joke!
Great move by Pep ??? Even a u-9 parent coach could figure that out, bring on the best creative midfielder in the world when your team needs a goal. Genius, that Pep !!
Summary: Jim White loves Scott Minto
is that a song?? 🤣
Lol wait a minute, didn’t Simon say in the summer that Arsenal would need to spend at least £200M just to stay static. You can’t be saying he’s spent loads of money when the other teams have been spending plenty of money over the seasons (Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle). Even if Liverpool may have spent less recently, they’ve got a solid squad and only need to add a few players whereas Arteta has had to scrap the entire squad pretty much and get players in a highly inflated market. Even Klopps admitted he never wanted Salah, which was around £30ish mill, and who would have seen him become how good he has. Could have easily ended up with Reus who was his first choice (albeit very good player, but injury prone and not on Salahs level). City can splash out £60-100mill on one player. They spent more than Arsenal with Gvardiol, Doku, Nunes and Kovacic. So how are Arsenal supposed to top city who won the treble and then have gone and spent more in the summer as well 😂
The defense cost them the title last season. This season (until the last few games) the issue was the midfield not creating enough chances. Alot of that is due to Partey being injured and not having a replacement, which is Artetas fault for sure.
Very basic analysis from radio pundits thinking the only issue is that they dont have a clinical striker.
I watched Arteta since he joined the club. I have supported him the entire way even when many fans wants him gone!
He hasn’t made many mistakes when it comes to buying players. Willian, Lokonga, and Havertz are the only players he’s bought that I didn’t actually want at the club! Every single other signing and decision he’s made in terms of bringing players in, I haven’t had any problems with….
Sometimes, a few bad decisions have a greater impact on our success than a bunch of great ones! I’m not sure where this squad will land in its future development, I believe it will be positive though. I just want to see Arteta be as ruthless with Kai Havertz and others as he was with Aubameyang, Ozil, Cedric, etc… if that versions of Arteta shows up more, he can tremendously improve the form of our squad!!!!
I watched Arteta since he joined the club. I have supported him the entire way even when many fans wants him gone!
How many times have you supported your club who you claim you support at the Emirates?
It’s always funny watching Simon run circles around Keown, he is such a thin skinned child. The bit where Keown says if he was still playing he wouldn’t listen to Simon even though he JUST SAID what Simon said would motivate him to play hard. He is so easy to rattle
Martin is such a melt 😂
