      There's two things you need to do: 1. build muscle aka the metabolism boosting - calorie burning body tissue. 2. learn how to track macros and eat at calorie deficit - the three building blocks of calories. Try 30% of total calories fats, .8-1g of protein per body weight, and the rest carbs. If this is confusing, start learning it now.
      Surprisingly you can eat better and more than you think, if home cooked. Also, mostly every item he listed here you can eat, and are eaten by those people who successfully lose weight. Make sure you get into the habbit of buying groceries every week, cooking your meals every day - this active activity will help you be hand on regarding tracking. Eat for fuel for physical and or cognitive endeavors and post recovery only, no boredom eating nor eating for fun (yet - only when youve earned it by building enough calorie burning muscles).

I was urinating almost non-stop. I developed an insatiable thirst. I was to the point that I started checking my blood glucose levels thinking I was a diabetic. Then it hit me that I was not hyperglycemic, but I was “hyper-Sucralosemic”! All symptoms resolved when I stopped consuming Sucralose. It behaved like an osmotic diuretic in my body. I do indeed spend a bit more but I have to admit I feel a lot better and I will save up in future medical bills. I buy fresh free range eggs from a farmer near my house, I only buy Swiss free range organic beef or chicken from the butcher once a month ( I live in Switzerland) I buy fresh fruits and vegetables that are seasonal and locally grown from a cheap farmers market near me, they deliver a full box for $10 every week, I try to eat raw vegetables as much as I can (carrots, peppers, tomatoes and spinach’s) I only drink tap water and I filter it with my Brita caraffe, I stay away from breads, butter, cheeses, the only thing I still eat that is made with dairy is natural yogurt. I also eat a lot of fish, I avoid Nordic wild or raised fish since the Nordic sea is the most polluted. I found out, painfully, that the food companies do not have the consumer's best interests at heart and the only way to eat was whole foods. That doesn't mean it's been smooth sailing, with the advent of better gluten free products and better labelling (at least in the UK), I've stacked on the weight, going from very slim to being 40+ lbs overweight. And even if it has a trace amount, like say 0.00001 grams, labeling requires you still list in ingredients. But the nutrition requires to be listed. And of course manuf will put 0g.

Picking on wheat seems to be an easy target because it's our #1 staple grain. And so many other "buts" I could bring up, but not looking to start a debate. We have to take a balanced approach, looking at what can be produced and marketed in the most sustainable way. Too bad sucralose was never intended to be a pesticide. That was debunked long ago yet people still say that lie. About as true as GMO's being created by sticking a syringe in an apple. Do you really think the scientist who discovered it would have tasted it if he was using it in any way to make a pesticide?

    • @cathygrandstaff1957
      @cathygrandstaff1957 Před 3 lety +11

      From Wikipedia:
      “Sucralose was discovered in 1976 by scientists from Tate & Lyle, working with researchers Leslie Hough and Shashikant Phadnis at Queen Elizabeth College (now part of King's College London).[30] While researching novel uses of sucrose and its synthetic derivatives, Phadnis was told to "test" a chlorinated sugar compound. Phadnis thought Hough asked him to "taste" it, so he did.[31] He found the compound to be exceptionally sweet.”
      So it wasn’t being developed as a pesticide per say, the company that discovered it was just trying to make novel compounds of sucrose to see what they do and one of the scientists thought his partner asked him to taste a newly synthesized compound with unknown properties. Still very dumb, but it’s not like he thought he was tasting poison.

    • @matejbosela9093
      @matejbosela9093 Před 3 lety +4

      he was /still is the person who prepared it - synthesis experts usually ingest their own products for sensoric testing (small amounts so they dont instanly die, of course). My prof at the uni (synthesis/organic chemist) had ingested methanol (the alcohol that makes you go blind) in small amount (concentration was about 1 mg/l which is 0,1% , the blindness occurs if you get 20-30 ml of 40% methanol) to determine the sensoric reaction and well, the shot was bad but alcohol taste was confirmed XD. Also, I have been asked if I can do sensoric testing of pharmaceutical carbon, but theres no way I would dare to do it.
