- In today's video I'm going to show you how I build and mold a duckbill spoileron to an Alfa Romeo trunk and hand lay/wrap/skin your car trunk with real carbon fiber! No specialist tools required. EPOXY wet hand laminating [DIY]
For this project, I used Nils Malmgren epoxy resin and 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber to get that awesome look. You can find it in the links below @Carbix.se

Oooooo huge thanks there mate! Cool to know where my followers come from. Wow!
I’d love for u to do this for my car
I guess your not from Sweden ha ha?
Great content as always, cant wait for part 2..
Yhank you so much!!! Just wait and see. Came out awsome.
I've use fiberglass a few times before but i feel like I'm missing something; the bootlid is metal and the wing is CF, then smoothed out. Then i would have taken a mold to them make the CF bootlid as a single piece of only CF. So not making the mold and then filling that with the CF, is this not just making the boot heavier? For not much structural gain?
I had the same thoughts. I assume this whole process is mainly just for aesthetic purposes.
Hello and thank you for watching. You are absolutely right, my friend, you should actually do that. But my client didn't want to spend the money on me casting it. The customer's goal was mostly appearance in this case. This is a good example if you want to try this at home and perhaps don't have all the knowledge to cast/mold off and glue on afterwards.
Hope you have a great day.
@@MagassDesign ohhh right, that makes a bit more sense now. Thank you. I cant wait to see how it will come out!
@@N3onDr1v3 It came out better then I thought .Just wait and see on the next vid on sunday and i hope you will agree.
You're correct. Spend money- less performance. But you can hard park in the car meet better😂
👌🏻🔥❤️
🥰😍😘
They should have just had u do the molding and wrap it in carbon fiber looking wrap. I know you have to do what the customer wants but I personally hate this "trend" in lets make it look like carbon fiber parts....
I hear you bro.. 100%
How much would you charge for a job like this? Cheers from your neighbor, Oslo Norway. 🙂
@@Dr-Asim Around 20 000 SEK
@@MagassDesign Wow. That is way to cheap. How many hours did you spend in total? 150 - 200? Probably even more.
Just saw the the second part just dropped. Will watch it later.
Thanks for the content brother. Like it a lot.
@@Dr-Asim I know it's way to cheap. But if I would take more I have no customers..
But I also have to be better on saying no if the customer dosent want to pay
Thanks for watching and especially taken the time ro write. I really hope you are going to like the second part.
