This was expandebals....
I like you video's
Next time a dutch weapon please?
I want sub
It will keal
That was an awesome experience! Thank you to everyone at Forged ❤️
You did great Keaton!
Well done fella.. That Ono you made was absolutely gorgeous..
Good job man lots of talent
You made a beautiful Ono bruh congrates!
Yeah. It was a truly beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
The Japanese Ono. Named after the last words of its victims.
🤣

Heart: *gets ripped out*
Doug: hehe squish squish
You can almost hear him thinking, "Kali maa. Kali maa. Kali maa shakti dae."
Mortal Combat: Fatality!
@@jrm48220 What is that
@@imthkng1224 it is from Indian Jones temple of doom where the one guy rips the heart out.
@@hockeycheck1224 Ohhh ok
Doug is hands down the best judge on the show. He always appreciates each blade and is optimistic when testing the weapons.
Yesss him and ben
@@taualphanu2920 I like that Ben was a competitor and they brought him on as a judge
and now he is in the Latin American version of forged in fire too ...they're exporting him
And I like his style as well
doug is a trained swords man and martial arts thats how he got the part
As long as their axe is better than that “Oh yes” joke, then they are winners in my book.
Ono, the joke didn't land, somebody is definitely getting the axe tomorrow
Was half expecting them to use a kool aid jug for a test. Ono, oh no, oh yeah!
this is the fabled axe that destroyed the beatles
The way it’s edited, they give no time to recover from such a punny line.
I agreed with Devin.. For the 1st joke is funny.
2nd is..kinda.
3rd is boring
4th is... Im out..
A judge gets injured,
Douge: It’s fine, it will HEEL
Not bad
When a judge folds about the weight it’s over for you.
To be fair you can literally see the weight pulling down arms and aim whenever it happens.
Lighter weapon has the advantage, easier to aim but just as deadly.
I doubt a lowly infantry man from that period would be that much stronger.
I think Jay is just weaker than the other judges. He's the one that usually complains first and loudest about weight.
Unless the weapon of your competitor breaks, or gets damaged more or cuts less.
@@garrettfuchs2164 finishing product also matter not just the weight. You can see crafting on Keith Ono .
@@Xerxes1688 one guy won even tho his weapon didn't cut at all just because his opponent's weapon was heavier
Doug - the Ghost of Tsushima
😂😂😂
Mind blowned
Poisons and slaughters the whole camp with a tango knife “it will keel”
Except he's Philipino
5:10 Can we talk about how awesome that trail of fake blood from the axe was?! It was like art!
It look like a anime when they swing there sword with blood on it
Forged in fire is actually just a ultra realistic anime
@@marblemarble7113 cool same for awe me
Doug, the guy who's actually an assassin, picked up the heart from the dummy and squeezed it as he has many times, relishing in the kill
The keel*
Usually he eats the heart u can tell from the look of disappointment when hes squeezes it
Yes
This was one of the closest challenges ever
it was close. Keaton Was a great smith to forge against and now He's a great Friend!
One was lighter and performed just as good.
I wish they would have included the reason they picked one blade over the other in this one. Personally I really like the first blade my self.
@@judgedredd2039 We all know why Keaton won. His weapon was lighter.
@@judgedredd2039 i mean ya anything thats lighter and preforms just as good is pretty much a instant win
Chopping weapon but he manage to make it lighter and tougher yet have the strength and sharpness.
heat treat, temper, and the finer points of grinding
A well made battle axe is usually substantially lighter than most people would assume. Some surviving Dane axes were forged so thin that the blades have corroded straight through in the center. Matt Easton at scholagladiatoria has a great video about it.
@@lukediehl1210 That good info right there.

Seeing Doug’s testing really makes you wonder “What if it was an actual human?”, this episode really made me question this
If it was an actual human, it will keel.
Just keep hackin'.
The result would be pretty much the same, if not a bit messier
@@Darmani2MB you wouldnt see the guys heart flyin out thats for sure.
Just reaching the heart would be a tough challenge as a real ribcage can take massive ammounts of force before it would crack.
In conclusion there would be more blood but a lot less tissue flyin through the air
@@julianeder3383 imagine a dude doing that just a bit stronger / bigger than Doug. Either way, devastating results.
This is probably one of the only episodes where I honestly didn't know which weapon the judges would choose
When it's this close it'll almost always be the lighter/better looking weapon.
Lighter weapon always wins unless it suffers a catastrophic failure.
@@Durwood71 yeah I know that's usually the case, but they were both very well made and both performed incredibly well. Hats off to the blademiths!
@0:12 nobody is gonna mention that epic moment?
Awwwww, the sportsmanship exhibited in this episode is really refreshing. I really like the head judge a lot he's really good at breaking bad news to people who have worked extremely hard and are awaiting a potentially huge payoff.
This is so much better when the weapons are both of high quality. When it's this close though I wish they should a little more of the deliberation process from the judges.
3:50 - I Was supper pumped with how it performed.
@farawayforge
Your axe was amazing, mate! The best of luck in your future endeavors
Don't stop that show I want this show to be keep going
I'm surprised the second judge didn't harm himself by living this time ...
For real, watching his technique after that last video... he's atrocious at testing. He doesn't even hit straight 80% of the time
@@TsarofScars true, most of the failed tests are his error
Well I think he’s just using his brute strength to see if he can damage the weapon. Not test his skill. Of course that’s my opinion if you have a different one feel free to speak.
Yes he’s terrible and the only judge I don’t like
@@-fudufy-8872 that's what I think
This always happens. One person has amazing luck and everything goes well and then the other person has terrible luck and still manages to turn in a great weapon. Props to these smiths.
I like when both blades stay strong and together and it comes down to minor things
Both weapons were beastly and did amazingly. It came down to weight and looks.
Nobody has more fun than Doug on this show
Cause he gets to KEAL
Both had awesome blades.
Kool aid man: *busts into room*
“OH YEAH!!!”
The slow mo at the end of Keaton’s kill test was amazing.
5:08 the blood effects is slick
4:28 The way doug says "ohhhhhh noooooooo" gets me every time
I can't stop watching all this forged in fire videos, man.
Everytime I am here looking for something interesting on CZcams and firged in fire episodes comeup, then my fingers just clicks on it without me thinking about anything else. Good Job
One of the best episodes in a long time, interesting pieces and a fun one to watch. Always impressive when the woodpole handles endure the strength test.
I agree!
series ideas:
FIF: Champion (episode winner)
FIF: Grand Champion (winner of the entire season)
FIF: Grand Master Champion (winner between multiple seasons)
When i saw his Axe i already knew he will win because i can See Quality
Thank you sir 🙏
@@FarawayForge Good job man!
Well deserved.
@@FarawayForge what happens to the winner weapons on the show? do they keep them or do you get to take it home?
Too many “oh no” and too many “oh yes” puns
What a pun!!!
Am I the only one that gets inspired by watching FiF and Alec steele
I really felt Doug's joy
They were head to head. It came down to his being lighter than his opponents.
I'm both amazed by the performance of that Ono and it's design, it's really beautiful.
Hitting the ono/oyes puns so hard it will keel
5:12 that blood makes that cut ALL the better
Both were awesome!
Great show! it was a really good time and the final weapons were Amazing great job Keaton and Logan
thanks brother!
Thanks Nic!
Amazing weapons. Very good job from the both of them
thank you brother!
Thank you sir 🙏
The light one wins again!
One of the only episodes where I would've been satisfied regardless of who won, the weapons were both JUST THAT GOOD :D
He doesent even get an explanation he had to left the building as fast as he could
Cleanest competition ever in FIF imo
'i hope i will at least turn in something ugly' - turns in a gorgeous axe
that might be the closest battle ive seen on this show, i really had no idea who they were going to pick. both performed incredible
No. Its over when the judge said his axe is lighter.
I think it's impressive that it was as close as it was given the other guy had to start over with just a day to finish, but it didn't seem too close. Yeah it performed great, but being heavy is a death sentence in this show. Plus the winner's axe was miles ahead in terms of aesthetics. I know that's not the biggest factor, but it didn't hurt.
It would been funny if the axe was called "Ono Ono Ono" then for one of the judges to say "Oh yeah."
“The Japanese ‘Ono’.”
*”Oh yes.”*
i love how he always says it will kill
The second blade was incredible
Doug had some special extra venom for this KEAL test. He seems to get some extra pleasure dealing this level of savagery. Never seen those dummies mangled that bad by any weapon on this show. Those axes were seriously scary.
In South Africa, its midnight but I woke up to come see this awesome channel
You know Doug has a lot of fun doing the testing.
Doug: *picks up heart*
Also Doug: will it squeeesh?
Ono
Oh, no.
Oh, yes.
I said more than Oh No when the welds didn't stick
@@we_build_it You still made a powerful blade in 23 hours; no small accomplishment. You should make a video about what it was like being on the show!
Thanks!
Best Keel test so far!
Both were great
They performed exactly the same, but Keatons was much more beautiful and sleek. A real work of art.
A true weapon is not about beauty. A true weapon is one that perfects the art of severing the life from an opponent as quickly as possible.
@@jack1234473 Only partly true. If they perform the same in tests it comes down to craftsmanship. If two blades perform exactly the same wouldn't you rather have the blade with finer craftsmanship? I know I would. Anyone can make something that kills. True craftsman set themselves apart by making something deadly appear beautiful without sacrificing functionality.
@@jack1234473 Very untrue, weapons in history were very often made to show status and wealth and would be made to look very nice with interesting shapes and gold inlays and all that, a well crafted weapon is both effective and good looking. not trying to say the other axe didn't look nice but the winner's one looked a bit better, besides it was lighter in weight so easier to use.
0:12 You know he was just itching to say that
That water tube test is cool! 😀 I hope they keep doing it!
that was the most amazing job of both blades, would have to be by far the hardest out of all that iv seen that would be to pick, both did such remarkable jobs
That was one of the best kill tests ever. These things seem fun to use
This is a lot of fun.
Doug after murdering that dummy
That was a fair win.
Did you see the beauty of the heart artwork?
That both looks good AND makes it lighter because it cuts out metal!
"Oh Yes"
Badumm-Tsss.
I hope they do an episode about the Japanese Kanabo.
I don't think it would be as exciting to forge hundreds of rivets and then shape a massive wooden club...
This was one of my favorite forged in fire episodes, especially because of the damage Doug with the Ono’s, it’s unlike anything the show has ever seen. One of the Best set of weapons in the show
The amount of 'Ono' pun in this video is amazing 🤣
Axellent episode
We all know that Doug is a psychopath when he pick up the dummy's heart, squeeze it like it was beating and said "that was a lot of fun"
I feel like they should show more of the forging parts of the weapons
The djent in the background was amazing
Ballistics Dummy: Ono
Doug, smashing through a wall: OH YEAH
That double bass though🔥
I'm surprised they didn't take advantage of the weapon being an Ono by saying "Oh yes" at every opportunity..
Got to love how they skipped day 1 and day 4 of the forging process
At 4:10 whenever I hear that background sound I thought now it's going to be break now but luckily it's nooot 😂😂😂
Cz it will keeeeel 😆😆😆😆
THE SLOW MO'S
Was expecting the kool-aid man to break through a wall and say " oh yeah!" When the host said ono
5:52 why is he standing so awkwardly 😂
That's the most impressive blade after the original blade breaks I've seen on the show
That was a literal tie in my head
if that strength test was something tougher or harder than bamboo, I'm not sure that thin blade would have survived very well.
"The Japanese Ono"
"Oh yes"
Don't know how they called that one. Two absolutely exquisite weapons and both incredibly effective.
4:34 That's a lot of damage! I believe not even Flex Seal can fix that...
Feels like it's rare for both weapons to perform very well in all 3 tests. Guess this came down to the finer details and feel of the weapon.
I freaking love Doug😂🤩
Doug just in the good mood in this video.
Everyone: Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!
Will Willis: OH YEAAHHHH!
The name is true, when you see a Ono you go "O no"
im surprised none of them said anything about it being hard to index the winners weapon the first 2 tests both judges kept hitting at bad angles
I think it's less about indexing but more about it being so light it rolls because it doesn't have enough momentum
@@jackohearts9108 so light it rolls? that really doesn't even make sense...once you have a grip on something it doesn't just roll in your hands because its to light...
@@ziggie16 it's less rolling in the hand then deflecting of a target, it happens when hitting a rounded target or if there's not enough momentum to carry it through. The lighter a weapon the less power and momentum.
@@jackohearts9108 yea i understand the last part of what you said but if you watch the video the blade is at a off angle before its hitting. at 5:15 you can even see after he hit it doug instinctively moved his hand back to the right spot to have the blade indexed properly
If we are discussing momentum, then it is important to understand the definition of momentum: mv, where m = mass and v = velocity. You are correct in stating that having less mass reduces momentum; however, velocity is as significant a factor.
It should be quite clear that to accelerate an object of lesser mass at the same rate as an object with greater mass requires less force, so this implies that if the same force was used for each weapon, then the acceleration must have been greater for the weapon of lesser mass. Thus, the velocity of the weapon with lesser mass was greater prior to impact, which varies directly with momentum as stated above.
Assuming by power you are referring to energy, then the statement that the weapon with greater mass had more energy is slightly flawed. In the aforementioned, I argued how the velocity of the weapon with less mass is greater with the same amount of force applied. Because kinetic energy is defined as mv^2, we see that velocity has a greater contribution to the value of energy, relative to momentum. So, the energy involved would be considerably greater for the weapon with less mass.
I believe your intuition was leading you in the right direction. You will probably want to explore the concept of inertia, because that would be a more "correct" avenue to explore.
Oh Yes! More Forge in Fire.
Every time it smacked against the bamboo I was like "Oh No." hahaha
If any of the judges change from episode to episode I usually dont mind. But without Doug the show just wouldnt be the same.
