I grew up with motorcycle trials and production car trials.The car trials were awesome, me, my mam, dad driving, bouncing like buggery to negotiate grassy bank sections in a Mini Traveller. Upgraded to a Hillman Imp and I was chief bouncer, we became faintly competitive. All the cars were daily drives and the sections were easy to get stuck but hard to damage the cars. Driving home in a mud covered Imp is a very fond memory. PCT's should be really big for anyone who enjoys playing in their cars, awesome fun. Cheap, safe and very social.
MOT comments... Trails car. Sills dented. advise raised suspension, used off road. Plenty of suspension free play issues too.
Great use of a mk 1. Total hero little car, gives her a bit of kudos too.

+PAUL,A1 You evidently don't know this, but the UK has a variety of different subdivisions known as 'counties', two of which are the _historic counties_ and the _ceremonial counties._ Ingleton is in the West Riding of the historic county of Yorkshire, and in the North Yorkshire ceremonial county.
Is this a public trail/ track? Looks like something less serious I could have fun with in car :)

Probably because 15 years ago, when it first was used like this it was worth sod all.
yeah i thought so too, even 15 years ago they were desireable, but maybe this one has crashed or something, and they saved it from the scrapyard - there is no way of knowing.

I've done this trail in a Peugeot 205 gti, apparently that's a "classic" , not to me, it's mine and it's great fun.

I hate this stupid show. They seem to love ruining old rare cars like this and that mini. Please step away from valuable cars and find a new job making a different show. It's awful anyway
Your aspirations are very low if you think a mk1 golf (non gti) and a Mini (non cooper) are valuable.
It is a GTI, it's registered as one. But like someone else said, bit of perspective needed considering that car was built more than 20 years ago.

Many immaculate cars are used and are sometimes damaged but that doesnt matter they can be repaired. Its better for people to be out using and having fun in their cars rather than stashing them away in a shed or garage somewhere
