I have an 05 Ford Explorer and it's in the same place.....Thanks for the excellent info. I couldn't find anything on the web either...From the look of your tube that's not your problem.. Thanks again.
You're right hard to find where about this is located anywhere. I have a 08' Explorer, a little different reservoir location and A/C line configuration but found that same connection point down in back near the firewall like yours. Thanks for the video 👍
Same here been looking for it for awhile . It's in same place. Son of a gun to get to buried down up against firewall on passenger side. But at least I now know where it's at. Rob
Metal pieces is an indicator of internal compressor failure . Flushing of system required to prevent new compressor failure! Long screen of orfice tube toward front of vehicle (toward condenser).
Thanks for the metal info. It's funny I only think of fragments in engine/ tranny repairs. I think I'm going to need an ac clutch or relay besides recharging to get it working again.
There is a door that open and closes . Its behind the glove box. That door falls off and blocks airflow. Happened to mine . Dude on youtube posted a video of it. Maybe its that
Well if you rewind your recording, you can see that it came out with the red part out. Just trying to clarify that. And just like you said, the way it came out is the way it goes in
Can’t get my low side to take refrigerant. I evacuated it and it took half a can but that’s it, compressor clicks on and off but low side is reading 0 psi and won’t take anymore. I have around 75psi on high side. Is this an orfice tube problem?
I also have a 2002 explorer, mine is 4x4 and I've been working on the rear differential for a couple days now. There was a lot of vibration coming from the rear and a U joint went out cause of that. Any ways it was a bitch getting it all apart cause it independent suspension and i had to take off a bit more to get that all off

Thanks man, I did the same thing you did with the first two hoses.
Didn't know this part existed. I'm not sharp on AC either but I'll order one for mine since needing a recharge. Thanks for info.
same location as the 2006-2010 Ford Explorer. Thank you
Bro, thank you so much🙏🏼
Thank you !
Since you put it that way, I'll like it 😊
thanks for sharing!!

This orifice tube is located on the back firewall on the passenger side

@@benrodeheaver701 my compressor clutch locked up. Took it apart and it was broken everywhere. Metal pieces and shaving all inside.
Good Job buddy. Your trying to help others and we understand. It should go in the same way u took it out. Did replacing it fix your issue?

I'm pretty sure it goes in the way it was in there, with the white tip in first.
Well I'm glad I found this vid bro good looking out I'm doing the same on my 04
Will this orfice tube keep the heater from working ?
The plastic end of the orafice tube with the valve in it always goes toward the evaperator.
Watch the video that the way I but it in

You need a special tool to take it out
Im at AutoZone right now about to ask for that tool
Okay yeah man ask for that tool if not maybe a long needle nose pliers could help
I'm going to try the tool and if they don't have the tool I'm just going to use needle nose
I have another CZcams channel if you want to check it out It call The Goodlife!!!
