    Thanks for the base model info, my personal truck is loaded but a lot of people want to know about the starting package vehicles. I'm happy to see this truck has just what you need (101A) and nothing you don't. I have found I spend too much money on "loaded" trucks fixing things like heated seats etc, when I see base model truck I think that guy is smart, He's not paying $800.00 a month for his truck.

    To anyone who owns a newer Ranger with the 2.3 and 10 speed auto: can the shift buttons on the side of the shifter downshift (to use engine braking) WITHOUT moving the shifter down into the S mode?

    That wheels is available on the XLT and Lariat in the Black Appearance Package. it is a 18 inch Aluminum Wheel just painted completely black in that package. It is only available in that package.

    • @longmcarthur
      @longmcarthur  Před 4 lety

      The wheel is close but the xlt and lariat black appearance wheel is a completely black high gloss wheel. The wheel on the first truck is a Ford Accessories wheel that is machined black wheel. You can find in the accessories section on the build and price.

    Are the seats in the super cab even functional for some one to sit in? All the pick ups I’ve seen with an extended cab like this are too small for anyone to fit..
    Does Ford offer a rear seat delete?

    • @longmcarthur
      @longmcarthur  Před 3 lety

    I wish manufacturers would make the stop-start an option or at least have it default to being off. Why should you have to drive around with a warning light glowing just because you choose not to have tge vehicle shudder every time you pull off from a traffic light? How much fuel does it save over the life of the vehicle anyway? How much wear and tear does it place on the battery and starter motor?

    It’s crazy how cars still come with reflector headlights in 2020. At this point it’s just because the manufacturers don’t have any other way to differentiate between lower and higher trims. Lack of real difference in value means we’re stuck with 1800’s technology.

    Not considering one till there is a re-design and a NA v6 option that puts out the same numbers or a little better than the boosted 4 cylinder. From high performance boosting experience, I need my next truck to last 200k plus miles with as little trouble as possible. Boosted motors do not have that kind of longevity yet. And to get any kind of decent performance out the ranger you are going to live under boost its entire life and thus I do not believe these truck will have dependable longevity. The F150 v6 ecoboost are problematic. A lot of Ford mechanics tell you the best motor is the 5.0 v8. Also the over all design is old on the ranger, Only the Frontier is older. Rest of the world has had these trucks for last 12 years, and at much cheaper prices. Ford brings a 10 yr old truck to america charges america way more money for what it is than they do in the rest of the world. Shouldn't be paying v8 prices for 4 cylinders. Not to mention I do most all my vehicle maintenance myself. Have you seen the messed up oil filter location? When that touch screen goes out, how much does it cost from the dealer to fix/replace? at those prices starting on the XLT's should include a bed liner, not charge extra on top for that.
