You can see that Wittnman really cares about his fighters well being/health. I believe that's what led to the creation of onx. Great human and coach.
Those gloves are on another level and the passion Trevor has for creating the perfect product is infectious. I love someone with that kind of passion for something most don't even put much thought into. Huge props.

The glove is cool but how tf you supposed to grapple with that on? I mean if someone gets you in their guard that's an easy trap into an armbar. Unless they plan to modify them into an open design.
They also have a grapple version of the gloves with an open design, think of something akin to the old Pride gloves.
I can't believe people think the UFC would adopt this style of glove 😳
@@thanosbustedinyourmum The gloves shown in this video are for light sparring and bag-work. The ones people want the UFC to implement are completely different and a lot more suited for MMA.
@@Kaidouken Why didn't they showcase THOSE gloves?? Honestly I like the design but the padding is huge and needs to be downsized by 80%. Grappling in those would be a nightmare as it limits your ability to lock hands or defend well.
@@tecwzrd Since this video is 3,5 years old my guess is that he hadn't designed them yet. If you look at the ONX shop you'll see that you still can't buy MMA gloves. And like I said, the gloves in the video are Boxing/Kickboxing gloves for practice, so the padding is fine as it is since they are not meant for grappling.
I'm now coaching amature k1 kickboxing fighters if I can take 1 percent fro trevor Whitman I will be getting better what a great coach he is
I hope the glove deal works. It sucks to see something is clearly better but politics keep the fighters from the best gear possible.
I'm wondering with this gloves: Can you still grapple and graph the opponent like with the more open Gloves? I think that is a concern regarding all the grapplers and wrestlers, right?
They have an open grapple design, there’s a video of rashad showing Rogan the open design on the Joe’s podcast.

many people are negative on Wittman..but results are what count..and $300 ..for custom fit gloves is cheaper than store bought and 6mths rehab for broken finger ...real fighters and martial artist will know this ..u dont hurt hands ..chattin on a keyboard..just saying .

Its not his confidence. Recently he told people that he started meditating more. I think he had some kind of spiritual awakening. That's why he has toned down his macho act a lot. Seems like a much more calmer person now.
I Still hope the UFC will offer him enough money for access to his product and a position at the APEX in athlete equipment development.
He could be responsible for saving nearly every want to be, amateur, and pro fighters from needless hand, shin, and head injuries during training. That will help the UFC from terrible eye pokes, and fighters getting busted hands,wrists during training and having to pull out of fights.
He has very similar acting to Duane Ludwig
James Hall Duane learned it from him. Trevor Wittman was his coach.
